What's the difference between absorbing a fighter and calling up a fighter?

Someone can correct me if I am wrong but:

Absorb : Take every fighter from the company, and close down the company in the process,

Call Up : Just 1 fighter at a time.

When you absorb, you can choose what contract you wish to take to your company, and once you have selected the contracts you want, the feeder company will close down and all fighters who's contract is not absorbed become unemployed.

 

calling up fighters/sending away fighters allows the feeder company to stay open, and u can use as a development territory.
