Smith avoids a takedown attempt by Shamrock. Shamrock slams Smith to the mat.</p><p> Shamrock passes half guard to full mount. Shamrock sets up an armbar. He locks in the armbar</p><p> & Smith taps out. <strong>Impressive display of strength there by Shamrock.</strong></p><p> Shamrock win via submission(armbar) in 5:21 of the fight. Tuli</p><p> misses another knee strike & Gordeau escapes the clinch. Gordeau scores with a jab. Gordeau</p><p> slips past a viscous right and hits a left. Gordeau catches Tuli with a jab. Tuli gets the Muay Thai</p><p> clinch again. Gordeau escapes the Muay Thai clinch. Gordeau hits Tuli with a right hand that</p><p> knocks Tuli down. Gordeau looks to set up a armbar on Tuli & he does, Tuli taps out</p><p> immediately. <strong>What a way to end the fight, the last two fights are reasons why MMA is</strong></p><p><strong> unpredictable.</strong></p><p> Gordeau win via submission (armbar) in 14:15 of the fight. Shamrock counters a leg kick with a flurry of</p><p> punches. Gracie goes for a takedown but Shamrock sprawls well. Shamrock tries to stop Gracie</p><p> from standing back up but he is unsuccessful. Gracie just avoids a fight ending flurry of punches.</p><p> Gracie throws a couple of haymaker and goes for a takedown but Shamrock sprawls well. Gracie</p><p> manages to stand back up. Gracie is pinned against the cage. Shamrock hits Gracie with a couple</p><p> of nice rights to the side of the head, then an elbow & then a couple of uppercuts. Shamrock is</p><p> hitting Gracie with short punches to the ribs. Shamrock breaks the clinch. Gracie goes for a</p><p> takedown attempt but Shamrock forces the fight into the clinch. Shamrock forces Gracie against</p><p> the cage. Gracie is able to reverse his position and now Shamrock is against the cage. Gracie</p><p> goes for a takedown, but doesn’t get it. Gracie goes for a takedown attempt but Shamrock has</p><p> something else in mind. They break the clinch. Gracie goes for a takedown, but Shamrock</p><p> sprawls and gets Gracie into a clinch. Shamrock pushes Gracie against the cage. Shamrock</p><p> breaks the clinch. Gracie hits a nice left. Gracie hits Shamrock with back to back jabs from the</p><p> pocket. Gracie throws four jabs that connect flush with Shamrock. Gracie counters a left. Gracie</p><p> hits a couple more jabs from the pocket. Shamrock denies Gracie a takedown attempt, they are</p><p> now sprawled. Gracie stands up before Shamrock can hit him with a knee strike to the head.</p><p> Shamrock stuffs another takedown attempt & they are now in the clinch. Shamrock scores with a</p><p> elbow strike to the head of Gracie, opening up a cut. Shamrock takes Gracie down. Gracie grabs</p><p> an arm and locks in a triangle choke. Shamrock taps. <strong>That was a bad idea for Shamrock to</strong></p><p><strong> take Gracie down, Gracie was in his house then.</strong></p><p> Gracie wins via submission(triangle with armbar) in 29:01 of the fight. The match</p><p> was rated as good.</p><p> </p><p> Tournament Semi Final: Gerard Gordeau vs Zane Frazier</p><p> Gordeau goes for a leg but Frazier steps aside. Gordeau goes for a leg again, he traps Frazier’s</p><p> leg but can’t get a heel hook. Gordeau trips Frazier & ending up into his half guard. Frazier</p><p> escapes. Gordeau is now on his back with Frazier in side control. Gordeau gets back to full</p><p> guard. Gordeau goes for a triangle choke & gets it. Frazier has no choose to tap. <strong>The two</strong></p><p><strong> comeback winners, didn’t have to comeback in the fight as it was very even.</strong></p><p> Gordeau wins vis submission(triangle choke) in 12:19 of the fight. The match was</p><p> rated as poor.</p><p> </p><p> Guaranteed Spot in UFC 2 Tournament: Jason Delucia (0-0) vs Trent Jenkins (0-0)</p><p> They clinch up after a couple of missed strikes by Delucia. Jenkins is pinned against the cage.</p><p> Jenkins reverse so that Delucia is against the cage. Jenkins breaks the clinch. Jenkins counters a</p><p> jab with a flurry of punches. Delucia looks for a takedown & he gets it. Delucia gets side control.</p><p> Delucia just hits Jenkins with a knee strike to the ribs. Delucia attempts a armbar from side</p><p> control. He gets it, ouch it looks tight. Jenkins taps out. <strong>Hopefully Jenkins isn’t to injured</strong></p><p><strong> as that looked like he might have broken it. Good fight for Delucia.</strong></p><p> Delucia wins via submission(armbar) in 7:11 of the fight. Gordeau stuffs the takedown</p><p> and gets Gracie into the clinch. Gracie gets pushed back against the cage. Gordeau breaks the</p><p> clinch. Gracie shoots in looking for a takedown, he can’t get it but he pushes Gordeau against the</p><p> cage. Gracie goes for a foot stomp but Gordeau pushes Gracie causing him to loose his balance</p><p> and Gordeau pushes Gracie against the cage. Gordeau goes to throw an elbow but Gracie</p><p> reverses. Gracie goes to do a foot stomp but Gordeau reverses the position. Gracie reverses the</p><p> position. Gracie goes for a trip takedown but Gordeau lifts his foot before Gracie can pull him</p><p> down. Gracie goes for a takedown but Gordeau uses his size to keep him up. Gordeau now has</p><p> Gracie pinned against the cage. Gracie reverses and know Gordeau is pressed against the cage.</p><p> Gracie goes for the takedown but can’t get it. Gordeau now has Gracie against the cage & tries to</p><p> smother him but he can’t. Gracie goes for a standing guillotine choke on Gordeau. He has it</p><p> locked in. Taktarov has had five takedowns stuffed, with two of them being from the clinch & each time he was reversed. I’ll give the first ten to Taktarov.</p><p> 10-20 Minutes.</p><p> The same as the first ten minutes except Taktarov only went for one takedown & that was when he was clinched up. All they really did was clinch then unclinched three times in a row. They hardly threw a strike & when they did it missed. It’s a tie so far.</p><p> 10-20 Minutes</p><p> Orlando land the real first strike of the fight & the 2nd. They clinch and like the first round, they break apart. Orlando hits another punch. Orlando misses a punch & Rosier fires back with a series of right hands, trapping Orlando against the cage. Orlando collapses & Rosier jumps on top, throwing a barrage of strikes. The referee stops the fight.</p><p> Kevin Rosier wins via TKO(strikes) in 16:31 of the fight. The match was rated as very poor.</p><p> </p><p> Tournament Quarter Final: Johnny Rhodes (0-0) vs Jason Delucia (1-0)</p><p> First Ten Minutes.</p><p> Rhodes misses with a left and Delucia fires back with a barrage of big right hands. Rhodes collapses to the ground and still is getting pounded on. The referee is forced to jump in & stop the match. <strong>Word for Word what happened the whole fight.</strong></p><p> Jason Delucia wins via TKO(strikes) in 0:29 of the fight. The match was rated good.</p><p> </p><p> Tournament Quarter Final: Remco Pardoel (0-0) vs Royce Gracie (3-0)</p><p> First Ten Minutes.</p><p> Royce Gracie uses a couple of haymakers to get a takedown but he can’t get it & Pardoel pulls them into a clinch. Pardoel pushes Gracie up against the cage, but soon after that Gracie reverses the position. Gracie goes for three takedowns but they are stopped. Gracie goes for a takedown & Pardoel grabs a guillotine. He lets go as Gracie gets the takedown and passes to side control. Gracie goes for an arm triangle and forces the tap.</p><p> Royce Gracie wins via submission(arm triangle) in 6:38 of the fight. The match was rated decent.</p><p> </p><p> Robert Lucarelli (0-0) vs Art Jimmerson (0-1)</p><p> First Ten Minutes.</p><p> Nothing really happened in the first ten minutes except Art moving forward and Lucarelli keeps on backing away from strikes. A couple of counters landed in that round. I’ll give that round slightly to art. </p><p> 10-20 Minutes</p><p> Most of this part was the exact same as the first ten minutes until Lucarelli hits Art with a huge right hand and knocks Art the f*** out.</p><p> Lucarelli wins via KO(punch) in 18:12 of the fight. The match was rated as awful. </p><p> </p><p> Trent Jenkins (0-1) vs Scott Baker (0-0)</p><p> First Ten Minutes.</p><p> Both fighters are standing toe-to-toe throwing strikes. Jenkins hits a solid right hand to the jaw from that exchange. Baker goes for a takedown but misses. Baker goes for another takedown & gets it this time. They are now in the up/down position. Jenkins pulls Baker into his guard. Jenkins goes for a triangle choke from the bottom & Baker taps out.</p><p> Jenkins wins via submission(triangle choke) in 4:27 of the fight. The match was rated as great.</p><p> </p><p> Tournament Semi Final: Kevin Rosier vs Oleg Taktarov</p><p> First Ten Minutes.</p><p> They are in the clinch. They separate. Taktarov goes for a takedown & gets it. Taktarov manages to get Rosier’s back. Taktarov now has both hooks in. Taktarov goes for the rear naked choke, but again he can’t get his arm under the chin. Taktarov goes for another rear naked choke. He flattens his opponent who then taps out.</p><p> Taktarov wins via submission(rear naked choke) in 5:57 of the fight. The match was rated as average.</p><p> </p><p> Tournament Semi Final: Jason Delucia vs Royce Gracie</p><p> First Ten Minutes.</p><p> Gracie gets a takedown. Gracie gets into side control. Gracie goes for an armbar. It’s fully applied, but Delucia somehow manages to pop his arm free. Gracie goes to get the mount but Delucia gives up his back. Gracie goes for a rear naked choke, but he can’t flatten Delucia out so he gives up. Delucia tries to roll, but rolls right another rear naked choke by Gracie. Delucia manages to escape the rear naked choke for a second time. Gracie goes for another rear naked choke after Delucia tries to roll. Delucia is hoping the third time isn’t a lucky charm, & his hope came true. Gracie is looking for an armbar from Delucia’s back. He gets it fully applied. Delucia tries to pop it out again but can’t, taps instead.</p><p> Gracie wins via submission(armbar) in 6:39 of the fight. The match was rated as poor.</p><p> </p><p> Guaranteed Spot in UFC 3 Tournament: Ken Shamrock (4-1) vs Patrick Smith (0-1)- Rematch from UFC 1</p><p> First Ten Minutes.</p><p> Shamrock goes for a takedown, but Smith avoids it. Shamrock throws a flurry of lefts & rights, then goes for the takedown. Shamrock gets the takedown, Smith had no chance of avoiding the takedown as he was covering up. Shamrock goes for a leglock, but can’t get out of Smith’s guard. Shamrock is throwing haymakers from the guard & Smith is in trouble now. Shamrock passes to side control. Shamrock goes for a armbar from side control & gets it. Smith taps out.</p><p> Shamrock wins via submission(armbar) in 4:27 of the fight. The match was rated as good.</p><p> </p><p> Tournament Final: Oleg Taktarov vs Royce Gracie.</p><p> First Ten Minutes.</p><p> They go into the clinch. Gracie is pinned against the cage. Gracie has reversed the position. Taktarov is going for a standing guillotine. He has is sunk in but Gracie isn’t tapping out yet. <strong>GRACIE IS ASLEEP, THE REFEREE HAS JUMPED IN & STOPED THE FIGHT. WHAT AN UPSET. GRACIE GETS SUBMITTED.</strong></p><p> Everyone in attendance is in shock, as Taktarov is celebrating his victory.</p><p> Taktarov wins via Technical Submission(standing guillotine) in 4:24 of the fight.
