weidt Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Weidt Presents THE WEIDTVERSE MOD Weidtverse is an all-new fictional database including 3,600 fighters, 300 CEOs, 12 avatars (with renders), 68 companies, 96 ppv carriers, 288 tv networks, 200 fight teams and 192 relationships. All fighters debut as rookies between age 18 and 25 over the course of 10 years. There are no renders for fighters, sorry. Each fighter debuts without records, nor experience, but does have reputation, performance and aura to reflect their amateur career and general hype coming into professional mma. Companies, too, debut a-new across the world, over 20 from game start and an additional 40 can debut randomly. All fight teams, ppv carriers and tv networks debut at game start. For the download, I split the data up between men only, women only and the complete version including men and women divisions so pick whichever one you want to play and enjoy. The pictures work for all versions of the data and required if you want any banners or logos to appear. DOWNLOAD: Pictures (Required)... Weidtverse Pictures Database (Choose One)... Weidtverse CompleteWeidtverse MENWeidtverse WOMEN Disclaimer: As always, you are welcome to use and edit my data for your own purposes, public non-commerical mods included, so long I am given credit. More power to anyone who dares to create renders for the 3,600 fighters too; it'll take ya forever!!
Chg91 Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Just to clarify: this is an entirely new database, correct? Not just an expanded version of the default 'verse? Awesome, downloading.
weidt Posted April 2, 2011 Author Posted April 2, 2011 Yep, completely new database created from scratch. Default companies were included, though heavily editted, many as randomly debutting, mainly to help provide more options and also to highlight new logos/banners I created for many of them too.
green poncho Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 I love you bro +EDIT+ Girl Fights Entertainment's short name is GCE.
xspudx Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 Do you mind if I use this as a base of mass edit for releasing sometime? I'd find it'd take way too long to create all the fighters and considering you have a lot, I was hoping to make a realistic version of this mod. Cut down everything and make a base game set in 1990 for full realism.
weidt Posted April 5, 2011 Author Posted April 5, 2011 All 3 versions updated. I corrected Girl Fights Entertainment short name to "GIRL FIGHTS" and removed momentum from female promotions. Also tweaked some of the weight classes for companies and changed some that debut. Two companies no longer debut at game start to avoid companies not having enough fighters to put on shows.
LoNdOn Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 Nice mod weidt. In fact, my WMMA rendering now consists of starting at the top of the list of names from this mod, checking the fighter's basic physical appearance and creating a render to put in the render thread.
dirkdiggler580 Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 I was waiting for this mod, and I absolutely love it. My favourite logo HAS to be PROMMA Canada. Hope you continue this fantastic mod. EDIT: Some things I've noticed which, In my opinion, could be changed. 1. Every company has the same number system. None of them are main events, or numbers with the name events. 2. In my opinion, fighters could have a previous win/loss experience. That way I could understand which fighters should have a title shot or enter a tournament to determine the first title holder. Maybe not as high such as the default database, but maybe a good 5-0 or 7-1. 3. Fighter Descriptions, I would REALLY like to see the addition of fighter descriptions. I know this might take a LONG time, but you could even get the community to chip in with some descriptions. Hope you keep up the excellent work.
weidt Posted April 6, 2011 Author Posted April 6, 2011 Since I mod primarily for my own enjoyment, I like companies using the number system for events. Similarly I think almost all the companies use the same unified rules too. Anyone can easily edit those to their liking, as I imagine people would do when starting as a company. That said, if folks have specific suggestions I may consider changing them. While all good ideas, dirk, #2 and #3 aren't things I will do, but anyone is welcome to do it and release that data.
kjuice14 Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 hey weidt. im looking forward to playing your mod, but i wanted to know: if a fighter that youve created (knowing that they dont have renders) retires/dies, does that mean that eventually the nnumber of fighters in the game will continue to dwindle until there are a few left?
Guest Asaemon Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 if a fighter that youve created (knowing that they dont have renders) retires/dies, does that mean that eventually the nnumber of fighters in the game will continue to dwindle until there are a few left? It depends if you set the Regeneration to Yes or No. If you set Regeneration on Yes, then retired fighters will be replaced by regens. You can use the Mass Edit feature inside the editor to turn Regeneration on or off.
Cornfed Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 I don't know if you fixed it or not weidt but for your Queens Cage banner you have it based in Europe when the company is actually in Pittsburgh, PA.
weidt Posted April 17, 2011 Author Posted April 17, 2011 you fixed it or not weidt but for your Queens Cage banner you have it based in Europe when the company is actually in Pittsburgh, PA. I moved Queens Of The Cage to Netherlands. I moved some of the other original companies too. Just my own personal preference.
onemanwolfpack Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011
Weidt,

I noticed your database hasn't been getting a lot of love so I wanted to bump it in order to give you an update on how my game has been going.

When my game began, I signed all of the fighters who had the best reputations. Once fighters from other promotions won some fights and got their reputations past a certain point, i would sign them as well.

In the early years, there was a huge turnover of titles likely due to everyones inexperience.

I am in September of 2004, and these are my champions.

Heavyweight - Gil Graham (13-1)

This guy has been a monster. He lost his second fight back in 2000 and has since gone on to twin 12 in a row including defending his title 6 times. He has beaten 3 former HW champions and is fighting another one in his next bout.

Light Heavyweight - Hector Oliveira (13-1)

Similarly, this guy has also been a monster. He also lost his second fight and hasn't looked back since. He is on a similar 12 fight win streak, but his is more intriguing as he has won all of his title defenses by submission. No one seems to be able to crack these guys

Middleweight - Abraham Ondetti (11-3)

I signed this guy late in 2000 and he had some early troubles. He went 2-3 in his first 5 fights for me. But since then, he has pushed his way up the ranks. He won 6 straight to earn himself a title shot and won by armbar.

Welterweight - Cesar Perez (12-2)

He went 2-2 in his first four fights with me, but since has won 10 in a row including 4 straight successful title defenses. He has finished his opponents in 10 of his 12 wins.

Lightweight - Carl Andersson (12-1)

There was a lot of hype about this guy after he managed to go 5-0 in the NORDEN promotion, winning their title. So I signed him, and he lost his second bout with me to a former champion. Since that fight, he was won 6 straight including two successful title defenses.

Featherweight - Jakub Novak (11-0)

Signed him after going 2-0 in BCF. He won the title in his 4th fight with me and has defended the title 5 times with 4 straight submission wins.

Bantamweight - Tatsuhiko Inaba (11-3)

A two time champion, he got to a hot start to begin his career winning the title in his 4th fight. Unfortunately, he lost his title in his first defense and later lost to two other guys who were either former champions or future champions. He pushed his way back to the top and won the title by submission.

Flyweight - Felix Escudero (12-2)

He is a three time champion. He has never been able to defend his title, but he will be defending it again soon. Both of his losses were his first title defenses. He won a rematch the man who handed him his second loss, Kalle Savonheimo, to win the title back.

LoNdOn Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011
For those who are interested. My rendering now consists of creating suitable looking fighters to correspond with those created by weidt in this thread. LoNdOn Posted May 28, 2011 Posted May 28, 2011 Just curious, how long should it take for the databases to merge? I started this maybe an hour ago and it's still going. It did take a while, but if you leave it, it will complete the task. I used the default database as the stating point and merged the weidtverse instead of the other way around if that helps.
Guest Asaemon Posted May 28, 2011 Posted May 28, 2011 Great work with adding pictures for the fighters. That makes the fighters in the mod even more interesting.
Afroduck Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 Great work Weidt and thanks for all the renders London. If it was alright with Lucky and Scottie and if you wanted I matched up some of their renders to a couple of Weidts characters I could post them.I used maybe 10 or more.
Blackman Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 This was of course quite helpful for adding workers. Thanks a lot for this.
