Tag01 Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ODJU2G75 Don't have much time for a write up, I've got some work to do tonight. Feedback is welcome. The missed weight issues should be pretty well cleared up. Please point out any incorrect race or stance settings. I've added Superior Challenge and the total number of fighters is at 2005. I haven't done all of the new TUF cast, but all of their pics are in the pack. Enjoy!
RedsRule Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Downloading now, will test these. Thanks for the update!
RedsRule Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Alright a couple small things. Noone in hall of fame, and you have no era's. looking good so far.
Tag01 Posted April 4, 2011 Author Posted April 4, 2011 Alright a couple small things. Noone in hall of fame, and you have no era's. looking good so far. Hall of fame is pretty far down on the list for me, but will get there. Feel free to make suggestions. As it's a modern real world mod I probably won't be using eras.
RedsRule Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Alright, thats fine, I just imported my own for it then Dave Branch is cut from the UFC/ Alexandre Fierrera (Dont know how to spell name, lost to Matyushenko) Cut down to 185. Ricardo Almedia retired. I don't know if you wanted to combine the UFC/Strikeforce relationship, but that too.
KholDrum Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Elbows on the ground are still set as illegal in Strikeforce.
OctoberRaven Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Lots of camps have no biography, and No Limits has the bio for Abe Ani.
KholDrum Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Bart Palaszewski is listed as unemployed but I think he is under UFC contract now.
OctoberRaven Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 On the subject of Hall of Famers, this is who I think should be inducted: Everyone in the UFC Hall of fame: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UFC_hall_of_fame#UFC_Hall_of_Fame_inductees (Charles Lewis Jr not in data) Frank Shamrock June 2010 (announced retirement as this date) Bas Rutten May 2005 (Six years after retirement) Masakatsu Funaki November 2006 (Co-founder of Pancrase) Minoru Suzuki November 2006 (Co-founder of Pancrase; not in data) Fedor Emilianenko October 2007 (After PRIDE was sold)
Tag01 Posted April 4, 2011 Author Posted April 4, 2011 Lots of camps have no biography, and No Limits has the bio for Abe Ani. Is anyone else having this problem? This isn't the case for my database. (some camps are lacking bios, but not many.)

I left UFC/Strikeforce off on purpose, but will probably include that relationship next time. Obviously it's an easy fix for you guys either way.
KholDrum Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 Is anyone else having this problem? This isn't the case for my database. (some camps are lacking bios, but not many.) i noticed that a couple camps have the abe ani bio in game, but when i check them in the actual database editor it's just blank. probably just some weird glitch happened with french top team, soares jiu jitsu and thugjitsu for me, as well as no limits probably more too i just didn't care to look at every single one Also I just noticed that you forgot to change the weeks that new champions like Jones and Henderson won, because the game acts like Jones has been champion since 2010

Thanks.
RedsRule Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 Also, I know ratings are subjective and you obviously did an amazing job on the UFC ones, but I would tone down Frankie's power. In my dynasty, he Ko'ed Maynard. I think it was 70ish
KholDrum Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 Wanderlei, dos Santos, Aldo, Machida, Maia, Shogun, Carlos Rocha, Charles Oliveira, Diego Nunes, Bibano Fernandes, Charlie Valencia, Edson Barboza, Fabio Maldonado, Gleison Tibeu, Jorge Santiago, Leonard Garcia, Luis Cane, Rafael dos Anos, Rafael Natal, Rani Yaha, Raphael Assuncao Renan Barao, Renzo Gracie, Rousimar Palhares, Thiago Alves, Thiago Silva, Thiago Tavares, Vitor Belfort Wagney Fabiano, Yuri Alcantara, Antonio Silva, Evangelista Santos, Fabricio Werdum, Gesias and Rafael Cavalcante, Ronaldo Souza, Vitor Ribero, Luis Santos, Wilson Reis, Thales Leities and lots of other people are all listed as black or white instead of Latin American and the Nogueira brothers, one is black, the other is white that's funny alistair and valentijn overeem jon jones claude patrick jorge rivera mackens semerzier and daniel roberts antwain britt bobby lashley karl amoussou merrit warren mike kyle brad blackburn bryan baker herbert goodman matt major sherron leggett are listed as white instead of black
OctoberRaven Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 Shouldn't Lyoto Machida be asian? I mean, he was born in Brazil but he's definitely of Japanese descent.

Tag01 Posted April 6, 2011 Author Posted April 6, 2011 Shouldn't Lyoto Machida be asian? I mean, he was born in Brazil but he's definitely of Japanese descent. I don't know that it matters for the purposes of the game, especially when his dad is Japanese and his mom is Brazilian.
OctoberRaven Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 Well it does matter for demographic appeal, which is why I think Machida would be listed as Asian.

Yep... Out of the 218 national Brazilians in the database, only 29 are listed as latin american... and I'm pretty sure they are the ones I put as latin american manually. Quick fix: Go to Mass Edit, Search, then set nationality as Brazilian. Then select "Ethnicity Becomes Latin American". Um... why should Jorge Rivera be listed as black instead of latin american? +EDIT+ Started game as UFC... Cain Velasquez is only undercard worthy. There's only 15 fighters main event worthy, none at BW, FW or LW. For co-main events, there is only 8, 1 in every weight class except MW which has 3 and LW which has none.
Rune Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 Well it does matter for demographic appeal, which is why I think Machida would be listed as Asian. I think he would ideally be listed as "Latin American" for demographic appeal. Everyone calls him a Brazilian, most people know him purely as Brazilian (not Japanese) and I would say he's much more popular in his home country than he'd be in Japan.

I need to play with popularity some, but there are a lot of fighters that I felt having as international in popularity was unrealistic.
D.O. Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 I need to play with popularity some, but there are a lot of fighters that I felt having as international in popularity was unrealistic. That's something I struggled with big time too. I finally had to ignore the titles and give them popularity that accurately displayed their card positioning.
captain_awesome Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 I have a big problem with big name fighters having high popularity in the USA but low popularity in Canada. We have TV and PPV in Canada you know. Just because a guy like Big Nog has never fought in Canada doesn't mean Canadians have no idea who he is.
