There is no crowd or referee's, this is just for me to practice with camera's and try to get everything to flow together nicely.

This is the first time I've ever done this so don't be too hard on me:o

Looks amazing, especially liked the flying knee pic..BOOM!

I hate to be 'that guy' as well, but the pic of the triangle shows both the fighters arms outside of the 'triangle'. The choke only works when one arm is 'in', pressing against the artery in the neck. Sorry to nit-pic :-p

Yeah I was hoping nobody would notice:o The pose still needs a bit of tweeking but I got so tired of tried o get it right that I just did it with both arms out. But thanks for noticing, now I HAVE to get it perfect lol

BTW Where did you find that pic? It's a good resource if there are more like that around.

Haha jeez. Not sure how much further the bar can be raised, Lucky...

I would love more people to get on it. We can make an epic magazine:D

Ya awesome work Lucky.Just a small suggestion with the jumping knee the guy that is getting hit has a bloody face it would be cool to see at least a couple of drops of blood on the mat rather below or beside him.

That would make more sense since the story says he was covered in blood. Will work on it;)

It's a photo of me rolling in my pastel gimp suit :-p Erm, honestly I can't remember...I just Googled 'Triangle choke' and clicked 'images' and it was there.

Just had a look and it's some weird old Krav Maga site...they don't seem to have any other pics unfortunately :(

Thanks Chaz.

Now for the nip-pickers out there (no names:P) I need some feedback on poses.

They are basically just base poses that require a bit of tweaking and my only resource for them was a Muay Thai site which has kinda stiff striking.

In the first picture he needs his guard up when throwing the kick, also maybe slightly more rotation in the hips which will give the look of more power aswell.

The third picture I'd probably say the same. He's throwing the leg kick with no guard up which leaves him open to a straight right or left hook.

The left hand is up well, the right one just needs to be covering the other side. In the picture with just the high kick picture without collision, it definitely looks a little like a 'flop kick', but in the one with the opponent blocking it looks okay.

Happy to not contribute anything new :p. Just thought I'd comment.

It's the same kick lol I didn't do anything except make the green guy visible. Guess it's an angles thing. I do agree that the kick looks a bit dead and lacking power.

You keep the opposite guard up and throw the same-side arm out, to gain more momentum.

At least, that's how I was taught.

Exactly. That's how I always figured it was done. It seems a bit hard to gain momentum and swing your hips with your guard completely up.

In Muay Thai they usually hold their hands high up when kicking low, but lower when kicking high. In MMA it's usual that people drop their other hand a little when kicking, but the premiere strikers never leave themselves fully open.

And I realized it's the same kick, but with an opponent in place it looks okay, that was my point :p.

I wasn't meaning to have both hands up in guard just the opposite hand. But it depends because the difference in Muay Thai and Kickboxing striking is big compared to MMA. Many people think MMA striking is a high level and analyse their striking posture and stance however to get a real idea of how it should look you really have to be looking at the likes of

Buakaw, Ramon Dekkers etc

Also many of them will have their hands just below the chin instead of eyebrow level when using a high kick.

I guess it depends really. Cro Cop is/was considered a premier striker and he drops one hand and brings the other half way down when kicking, leaving himself entirely open. Like you said though, Muay Thai guys usually keep their defenses high up, guess it just depends on the striker.
