damonster Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 I have Pettis vs. Sotoroplous (however his name is) at the end of the month & in an interview Pettis said he's a fan of Soto and now has a strong friendship with him, what does that mean for the fight. Will it be like Barry vs. Cro Cop or won't do anything to the fight.
KholDrum Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 This happens for me with everyone Jon Jones fights, which is funny considering. Lyoto and Marquardt are both good friends with him after positive words before a fight I've also had guys bad mouth each other before a fight, causing a dislike relationship I too was wondering exactly what kind of effect it would have and what causes it to happen to certain guys more than others Also I think it would be cool if you got an email notification of some sort any time people on your roster develop a relationship
Paatero Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 I find it a bit annoying that every time a fighter says he's a big fan of his opponents, they're suddenly super buddies. Rick Stanley in my 0-0 reset game by majesty has like 9 strong friendships with people he's fought, and he's got like 21 fights. What I do like is relationships developing in fight camps. In the same game Josh Aldarisio and Sean Morrison are friends, both fighting under American Cage Fighters and they're also very similar in style, and then there have been cases like Matthew Dean being a friend of Gideon Navarro, which I've thought as sort of the older veteran 'introducing' the young rookie into the sport. Overall I enjoy the feature, but then again it's got little meaning to the game, friends have no problem fighting each other for the most part. One thing I'd like is that fighters in training camps could learn stuff according to which people there are in the camps, due to sparring with them. So then being a good friend with somebody would mean you could learn from them by sparring and vice versa.
SGRaaize Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 I don't think I have gotten a single relationship in my game in 4 years.
Guest GAMMA rays Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 yea for some reason i dont have any friendships/dislikes spawning at all. im in the year 2014.

KholDrum Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 Jones and Marquardt refuse a rematch now that they are friends from their first fight
Scottie Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 I'm not sure I've seen anyone become friends through camp, but heaps from pre-fight media pieces. From what I can tell, fan favourites make friends and the heels make enemies.
Paatero Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 That's odd. I do have the relationship rate set to medium, however, for whatever reason . Kept it there ever since.
KholDrum Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 Yeah, I have mine set to medium as well. I put everything on medium, injuries, drugs, everything except death which I keep on low
ChrisWest Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 I have relationships set to Very High. I've played 12 years, but I don't recall seeing a relationship being formed. Is there a way to see the relationships in my save? I'm assuming there are some after 12 years of game time.

Rebby Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 Go to news and filter to show relationship formings
ChrisWest Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 Go to news and filter to show relationship formings Thanks. I didn't even know you could click on News I can't seem to find relationship news, though.
KholDrum Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 Yeah, I didn't even know about that News section, but I don't see relationships either.
lean Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 Yoshiro Makamori has strong dislike with a number of the guys he's fought.
