Tomato Can Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 Just started my first Developmental. Do you get an email or something when a worker is ready to be promoted or do I have to just keep checking their stats? Thanks for your help!
LoganRodzen Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 Just started my first Developmental. Do you get an email or something when a worker is ready to be promoted or do I have to just keep checking their stats? Thanks for your help! No notification whatsoever. You have to look at their stats and matches. Look at their stats and notice the gains they receive throughout the months. Eventually they'll stop growing and you'll need to do something more with them in order for them to improve. In some cases if you leave a worker in development too long they can decrease in stats. That's a crappy thing to have happen to a younger worker. Watch out for any workers who don't think they need to be in development (and you send them anyway) because when you recall them to your main roster they won't have a very good attitude (morale). Just something to look out for.
Bigpapa42 Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 Just keep checking their stats. There is no "right time" in terms of their development. There are simply too many variables there (which is why a notification would be of limited value). A worker might reach their development peak in one area but have plenty of room left to grow in another - which area is more important to you? The answer is going to depend on the promotion, the given worker, their intended role, and so on. Everyone is doing to have a slighly different approach, but I look for the combination of having developed sufficient in the important areas (based on what I want to use them for) and having the room to make use of the worker.
Remianen Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 When their performance skills average B-, their stamina is C (preferably C+), and they're decent to good (read: C range) in a top line area. That's my criteria. I don't care about entertainment skills because I can supercharge those easily. Your criteria may differ based on your playstyle.
Winter8905 Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 for me it depends on the person i like there entertainment and some form of in ring ability to be at least C. stamina/ basics and psychology i'd ideally like them to be up there too. Entertainment skills can be raised easy enough in promos with better people than themselves.
Teh_Showtime Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 For me it is when they are sufficient enough to benefit me. Sometimes if they dont improve much I bring them up as uber jobbers. I prefer them to have a high C in preformance stats but Id settle for upper 50s on a few younger guys. One example is also Findlay O'Farraday in MAW. I had them as my development company, and when I signed him he was MAW champ (I Didnt realize) so on his first MAW event under my contract he won the title back. He proceeded to have a feud with Jay Chord that lasted 6 straight months with Findlay defending every time and his psychology got up to 81 and brawling to 70, Now I am waiting for him to lose the title before I call him up.
Big Pimpin Chief Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 I usually check up on their stats every 3 months or so, my cue is that I have a few freelance guys that are on short term contracts, so whenever I have to renew their contracts, I check my developmental guys, and I go to "track progress" and if none of their meaningful stats have progressed in 3 months, they usually dnt improve much more, so I call them up. -Chief
