EaztSte Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 So in my game I have somehow made Ezekiel Jackson A* popularity in every single region in the world. I did this with a Goldberg undefeated streak (currently at 23 wins, 0 losses and 1 draw) He's ended Takers streak, defeated Edge, Jericho, Cena, HHH etc. The dude is the title holder and draws good ratings if I advertise him in advance. HOWEVER. He isn't in the top 5 on my list, which is kind of understandable since there's HHH, Dwayne Johnson, Cena and The Undertaker are my top 5. My question is...will it simply take time for him to get into the list or is he just not a franchise player? I should add that there seems to be something special about him in my game since he gained popularity at the rate of Hogan. It was crazy.
franticloser Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 i believe franchise players are rated on more then just pop it has to do with entertainment skills and probably their style compared to your promotions product
Comradebot Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Pop, Star Quality, and Charisma are what matter. Says so right there in the Creative Meeting screen. And, honestly, I think amongst Main Eventers popularity is the least important. Honestly not sure how the others work. Looking at my Franchise Players, Terry Lambert has A Charisma and A* SQ... but is only third behind Marcus McKing (A Chr, B SQ) and the first place Chief Two Eagles (B+ Chr, B+ SQ). McKing has A pop in America, CTE and Lambert both have A*.
smartman Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 And Star Quality too. I think it values that heavily too maybe more than anything else.
lazorbeak Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 I believe performance skills also factor into franchise player determinations, and that probably hurts Jackson as much as the other stuff. Despite Jack Bruce having superior star quality, charisma and popularity, Christian Faith is still the #1 franchise player in most SWF games. And Angry Gilmore just has to sneak onto the list of main eventers to be listed as a #1 or #2 heel, even if he's behind guys like Vengeance or Marat (star quality and popularity) or Eric Eisen (popularity only) in other skills listed under the "franchise player" tag.
