The Indies Thread

So we got threads for TNA, WWE, and lots of backyard feds. So why not a thread for indy promotions?

Basically this is a place to hype/spread awareness/whatever for various local indy promotions that wouldn't get much attention outside of word of mouth.

No backyard promotions please, and indies that are well-known outside their home area (RoH, CHIKARA, CZW, etc) are discouraged but not completely unwelcome.

I'll start with Independent Championship Wrestling, running out of Miami, Florida and surprisingly the only promotion that runs out of the Miami area that's still running regularly. No 'big names' to speak of, the top names include Joker (not to be confused with the CZW guy) and Michael Manix. Their current home venue is the Polish American Club of Miami, and their next show is April 30th.

The local indy I enjoy is Total Wrestling Federation. It runs out of Sacramento, California. Their next show(technically they do like 1 or 2 "house shows" a week, and they have 1 big event a month, I dont really track when their house shows are) is TWF Doomsday. 4/23/11 at the Colonial Theater. The main event will be Scorpion vs Paulie Denali vs Ekstazy vs Vortex

They have a TV Deal, and are on local channels in the Sacramento area.

They also post their TV show online Here

Does anyone have any experience with ECCW in Vancouver? Long story short, i'll probably be there in a month or two, and was wondering if they were worth going to see? The last wrestling show i went to was one of the embarrassingly bad All Star Promotions WWE-tribute shows when i was a kid, so as long as it's better than that :p

Yep, it was painful. There were a few kids in front of me who were just laughing at it in a pitying way. They were only about 6! "Haha, he's trying to be Kane. He looks silly!" and so on. There was even a guy dressed as Psicosis who's gimmick was that he... fell over a lot. He tripped down the entrance, he tripped through the ropes, he tripped over his opponent. Oh, the hilarity.

Oh man, sounds awesome. I doubt it does but I wish some footage of this stuff was floating around. Obscure dodgy wrestling is my forte.
