How are you running your organization

Recommended Posts

Jus a few questions on how you are running organizations. How do you determine where to hold your next card, how do you figure out your title contenders, and finally what are your factors for moving a fighter up or down a weight class.

1. I usually rotate around. If I can, for retirement fights, I'll hold it in their hometown, sometimes if I have a transcendental figure I'll hold an event in their country/region.

2. Depends on three major factors Merit, Drawing Power, Divisional Strength. For as unfair as this sounds, sometimes, people have to wait. For example: I just signed Lermontov from SIGMA. The moment he walks through my door he's the best LW in my division, but nobody in Japan has any idea who he is, or why he deserves that shot. So he's going to have to spend a year earning the public's trust, and preserve my brand authority. If I did give Lermontov a title shot now the GAMMA nuthuggers at Blurcat.net and the Underworld forums would have a field day. I don't want to have to read it.

Another reason I might deny a more deserving fighter a title shot, is when I'm sure it'll be a big draw and don't need a PPV headliner for a while, otherwise the guys I think have earned it, with the most impressive string of results, in my eyes, gets the shot.

3. Usually I only move a guy if he asks me to, or if I feel he's an exceptional talent at a division I don't have(See:Masato Wai) other than that, it's a misnomer as far as I'm concerned.
