The former booker of WCW however had a habit of signing valuable workers that I either had employed or were trying to employ, only to stick them in development. Workers I was either featuring heavily or planning on featuring heavily. Now I have no problem with rookies like Edge, Christopher Daniels, Jeff Hardy or even The Rock being put in development to do exactly that: develop. And I would gladly bet you one Canadian Dollar if we did some digging we'd find someone who did the cast angle before the Wrestlemania I, Orton version. But you are most certainly correct, my version is in part a nod to the elder Orton and is also a reference to another wrestler who feined injury so as to use a cast to his advantage... Owen Hart. Mind you, I'm fairly sure I'm the only booker dumb enough to book the cast on a babyface for the first half of the angle. Oh wait, Owen's gone. The entire angle. Le sigh. Oh yeah?
