<p>Just got in from work a little while ago...sent the save to Hive for his PPV...</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

...have to say I don't feel I have been "Vacuming the life out of pro wrestling"...I have taken a few workers to be sure...not many though (to be blunt, anyone less than a B- in Pop is functionally useless to the F right now)...I was about to sign Chavo to a written deal, then after really looking at his stats I reconsidered...much like a fisherman who understands the ways of the sea, I threw the little fish back in the water, where he could grow and mature...for if we steal everyone now, there will be no fish left eventually</p><p> </p><p>

I don't think I have stolen anyone and put them in my developmental have I? Almost everyone was a draft pick or an unsigned free agent...</p><p> </p><p>

Still, there are a few big names in the cult promotions the WWF may have to poach to fend of the Evil Empire of the South (WCW)</p><p> </p><p>

The former booker of WCW however had a habit of signing valuable workers that I either had employed or were trying to employ, only to stick them in development. Workers I was either featuring heavily or planning on featuring heavily. Now I have no problem with rookies like Edge, Christopher Daniels, Jeff Hardy or even The Rock being put in development to do exactly that: develop. But when signing a bunch of workers who will arguably not develop much further and are perfectly able to work the main roster already, only to stick them in development to rot and prevent others from using them, that's when everyone at my TNA starts taking it personally and begins plotting revenge...</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="JackKnifed72" data-cite="JackKnifed72" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="31029" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>I think stealing Owen Hart and the Nasty Boys is as bad, or worse, than poaching RVD & Jim Cornette...</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Stealing Owen Hart and Jim Cornette, I'd personally rate almost equally - perhaps with Owen being a bit more valuable. The Nasty Boys however, in spite of their vast experience and thus shocking ability to put on good matches, I was going to release anyway. Creative had nothing for them. We do wish them good luck in their future endeavours, though.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="31029" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Edit: I like Hive's post, it's just a matter of "roleplaying" your fed, not a personal "Oh man what a ****" kind of move...of course the WWF and WCW are going to snatch talent from smaller companies...of course some of the challenge of playing a Cult fed is keeping that constant steady flow of young talent there to replace defectors...In the real world Eric Biscoff seemed to have an almost psychotic compulsion to sign as WWF guys as possible...speaking of which, I see no one has taken a shot and signed him... yet</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Glad you liked it. TNA still harbors ill feelings about losing Alex Wright to WCW development after having signed him 1 week into the game as a clearly unwanted free agent and building him up and planning a major storyline for him.</p>

Aww man, my last 3 matches at Final Resolution were B, B+ and A... yet my sub-par angles throughout the show dragged me down to a show rating of a B. <img alt=":(" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/frown.png.e6b571745a30fe6a6f2e918994141a47.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

<p>Value can be tough to determine. From a storyline perspective, Corentte was the engine of my mid card. But it's nothing a little creativity can't handle.</p><p> </p><p>

Owen Hart, on the other hand, was one half of my tag team champions, in the midst of a (very) slow boil heel turn that was only three (3) weeks from being completed and had put on an A rated match a not too long ago against a man that was so drunk that you'd think he was at a wedding.</p><p> </p><p>

So yeah. Verne and the rest of here at the AWA are a little bitter.</p><p> </p><p>

But you can't hate the player, hate Hive for setting up the game this way.*</p><p> </p><p>

If any of you think I'm gonna go easy on you when I get to National... you got another thing coming.</p><p> </p><p>

*I do not hate you Hive. Here, have a pretzel.</p>

Ha! You've learned a valuable lesson, young whippersnapper. As Good Ol' JR often says: To my knowledge, nothing in wrestling is original.

And I would gladly bet you one Canadian Dollar if we did some digging we'd find someone who did the cast angle before the Wrestlemania I, Orton version.

But you are most certainly correct, my version is in part a nod to the elder Orton and is also a reference to another wrestler who feined injury so as to use a cast to his advantage... Owen Hart.

Mind you, I'm fairly sure I'm the only booker dumb enough to book the cast on a babyface for the first half of the angle. Oh wait, Owen's gone. The entire angle.

Le sigh.

Oh yeah? Well that's the last time you'll get to loan Jeff Jarrett, then! :mad

Sweet I should have been mean to you a long time ago!

I didn't realize that Owen Hart was actually involved in such an angle in 1996. So little I know about the WWF history. :o

Sweet I should have been mean to you a long time ago!

Don't try any of that sweet-talking me, you ain't getting him again no matter how hard you beg! Jarrett is now officially off-limits to AWA!

@ Hive --- Are you using Savio Vega as a face?

Yeah... why? I realize that you featured him as a heel, but I doubt any of TNA's fans watch your cra... uhm your fine show, anyway. :p

As I mentioned previously: I lost 4 tag teams last week. I'm desperate for new ones.

You may keep Savio if you want...he seriously tried to "HighBall" me in negotiations for a written contract....$9000 a month? To mid-card Superstars? :eek:Really Savio? Really?!?!?

Figures that you would try to steal him as well... evil.

Funny story btw: I was negotiation with New Jack, who pulled out because I refused to offer him a main event title run. Yeah.

IIRC Savio Vega was already in the employ of the WWF when TNA signed him...or did I just not notice you already had him?

New Jack apparently hates JackKnifed over the Vampiro match, were he refused to lose the match, cheated despite being the babyface, then threatened to administor some "Prison Justice" on my *** when I fired him...Least that's my side of the story...I always kinda liked New Jack but oh well

Savio Vega with the right booking could out wrestle Bret Hart! Ok maybe not but hey he could be overpaid and job to everyone.

New Jack should get a main event title run somewhere! Think of the carnage!!! Blood and broken bones like crazy. Maybe some stabbings.

I love New Jack he is great!
