Not that I've seen. Completely unrealistic. The odds of someone under 40 dying of natural causes is pretty rare. Usually it's cancer or heart disease or something along those lines. Certainly not natural causes.

Brittany Murphy's death was initially ruled as "natural causes".

Heart disease and cancer ARE natural causes, though. Illness and your body malfunctioning are natural causes.

Unnatural causes are dying to something like being struck by lightning, or getting murdered.

to "die of natural causes" is something that people say simply to insinuate that there was no foul play. Also... if you look at some of the MMA deaths and definately the pro wrestling deaths, they say that they "appear to have died of natural causes" simply because there was nothing apparently wrong about their death. Usually you find out later it was drugs on the heart that killed them.

I know why it's like that in the game. It's easy and not controversial but I big part of me really wants to see some specifics. In the context of the game some could be funny like an OD. Then some could just be crazy like a car accident, death after fight, heart attack, etc. If it had something to do with the fighters personalty it would be cool. Make you more wary about some fighters because you know they party really hard or something.

There is one boxing game I played, were people could die of natural causes but they could also die from a beating. They could also get severely hurt where their careers were all but over.

Would be cool if fighters had to retire due to injury or things like that.

An exploding heart is not natural (and yes I have seen an article about a high schooler who pushed himself too hard on the track whose heart exploded when he finished his laps, at my high school no less). The news never reports this stuff as natural causes, and I'm pretty certain a coroner doesn't, either.

Yea the two reasons why I understand the natural causes are:

1. It's simple. Things could get complicated if you have to put in 5+ different types of deaths and match them up to possible personality traits.

2. Some people are going to be offended. Personally I don't give a crap, it's a videogame but there will be people out there who will take it seriously and then GDS will get an ear full.

Personally I'd love that stuff to be in the game, I'd find it fun and more interesting but I don't think the public can handle it. Maybe deaths due to injuries or just the term "accident" but anything more specific and some people are going to get really upset.

Yes... people don't just die for no reason. Even if you are 110 years old, there's a reason why you are dead. "Natural Causes" is a politically correct and nice way to say that someone has died with no apparent "foul play". This is often a term used to protect people's privacy especially when they are young.
