Hashasheen
Are there any Mods around August 1994? I've had a hankering to play NWA from the ground up after it got raped by ECW.
BurningHamster
Nah never seen one I'm afraid, I considered making one for a while there as I kind of like the early 90s indy scene. Having listened to the NWA promoter of that era Dennis Coraluzzo interviewed a couple of times I can fully understand nobody wanting to be associated with him though. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

I figured it would have been rather interesting. In the US you'd have had WWF, WCW, USWA as the third biggest promotion at Regional and in a working agreement with WWF, then SMW, ECW and NWA at small, with NWA/ECW war and WWF/WCW war. </p><p> </p><p> NWA had few notable members at this point:</p><p> NWA Florida</p><p> All-Star Pro Wrestling </p><p> NWA UK Hammerlock </p><p> International Wrestling Association </p><p> International Wrestling Association of Japan</p><p> World Wrestling Coalition</p>
BurningHamster
<p>It'd be hard to add those groups though to be honest, NWA New Jersey and maybe the whatever the group running in Texas were are about the only early-mid 90s NWA territories in the US I ever found much info on. Hammerlock I am semi familiar with but could never build a big enough roster for them to be worth adding.</p><p> </p><p> IWA Japan were just starting out after W*ING collapsed if they were even open at all yet.</p><p> </p><p> USWA I would probably say were pretty much regional at this point in terms of TEW status. Can't be sure though, all this info is from memory of the small amount of research I did when I considered it.</p><p> </p><p> Who were the International Wrestling Association around this time? Was it the one in Puerto Rico (which early results don't seem to exist for) or some other group I forgot about?</p>

It might just be wishful thinking of using the NWA as a unified promotion and then destroying WCW, WWF, ECW and re-dominating North America. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="31139" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>IWA Japan were just starting out after W*ING collapsed if they were even open at all yet.</div></blockquote> True. <p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="31139" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>USWA I would probably say were pretty much regional at this point in terms of TEW status. juggaloninjalee
If someone decided to take on the task of this mod I'd play it. There has to be a way of finding out what indy feds were around during this time. At least so you can have a small promotion in each region of USA, and Canada. Then all the big companies worldwide with an indy or 2 in UK, Europe, Japan, Australia, and Japan.

Hive
<p>Researching for mods around that era is a huge pain that gets worse the further back you go. While I love my 1995 mod and would definately love a 1994 mod as well, I doubt I'd ever do another mod pre-2000. It's just so damn hard to find sufficient info.</p><p> </p><p> Apart from the feds listed by BurningHamster however, I'd also add American Wrestling Federation and Mid Eastern Wrestling Federation and possibly Steel City Wrestling and National Wrestling Conference (depending on how picky you are regarding them starting with a full roster) to USA for a 1994 mod.</p>

BurningHamster
Researching for mods around that era is a huge pain that gets worse the further back you go. While I love my 1995 mod and would definately love a 1994 mod as well, I doubt I'd ever do another mod pre-2000. It's just so damn hard to find sufficient info. Apart from the feds listed by BurningHamster however, I'd also add American Wrestling Federation and Mid Eastern Wrestling Federation and possibly Steel City Wrestling and National Wrestling Conference (depending on how picky you are regarding them starting with a full roster) to USA for a 1994 mod. Yeah, researching older stuff is an absolute nightmare. Just to do 1996 I must have watched over 100 shows, raided every website I could find for info, harassed a few wrestlers on facebook under a fake name and got way too comfortable babelfishing japanese sites. Seriously, I was working harder on my mod than I was at my job. Then you have to add the data and hope it all balances out okay. Of the feds Hive added .. AWF started in 1994 but I am not sure when now I think about it. MEWF, Steel City and National Wrestling Conference would all be maybes (I generally think that a roster of 12 is bare minimum, 16 preferred). Pretty much, the mod would look a fair bit like Hive's 95 mod but scaled back a bit. For me, the main appeal of a 1994 mod would be Smoky Mountain, the early days of ECW and a time when the Japanese garbage scene was in full swing. Might even get a few people interested in All Japan who were pretty awesome around this period. Not a big early 90s fan when it comes to the major US promotions though and not sure how much appeal they would have. As much as I would like to do it, just don't see it happening since I am pretty busy these days and think its only going to get worse but like Forlan, I too would volunteer my data for it. Outside of a successor to DOTT, An early 90s mod and a late 90s/early 2000s mod with a load of indies are the biggest ones on my wishlist.
