4C: Infecting The World

The Offices of
NOTBPW

November 17th, 2009

Dan Stone sits waiting behind his grand mahogany desk in front of the glow of a computer screen. He’s skimming through an article which has broken out about one of his more popular, and talented athletes named Will Draiman. In the article, Draiman professes how much better he is then every single wrestler in NOTBPW, and how without him, they be on the fast track to bankruptcy, a comment that does not please Dan Stone in the least.

Stone has been known for his calm, and patient nature in the past, so something as insignificant as this would normally roll off the broad mans shoulders, and business would continue as usual. But this wasn’t the first time Will Draiman had gone out of his way to outshine the promotion, and this was the straw that broke the camels back so to speak. Where it started, Dan could hardly remember. Something to do with Draiman doing a work on the young Erik Strong. And there have been moments where Dan had almost had enough, but god did Draiman have talent.

Draiman was originally brought up through the DeColt Power House, and had been a mainstay for the DeColt’s for so many years. “Maybe it was there that he’d gotten hold of this attitude…” Dan would say to himself. Dan wasn’t sure of the actual details as he’d only ever heard Draiman’s side of the story, but Draiman, and the DeColt family had a falling out which ended in a bitter contract dispute, and Draiman’s eventual release.

Draiman would then come to NOTBPW, dedicating that his past was his past, and all he was looking to do was to crush CGC, and help NOTBPW grow to become a Global power. Needless to say, he did his part, but as most predicted, Draiman returned to his old habits. The sad part about it is that during that inaugural meeting between Dan, and Draiman, Dan had really believed in Draiman. He’d hoped that it would work out. But no man is bigger then the company, and Draiman needed to be taught that lesson. And it looked as if it was time for that lesson to begin. Because 45 minutes late, Will Draiman had arrived.

Will Draiman:
Daniel! How are you?

Dan Stone:
Sit down Will.

Will Draiman:
Will do, but do you mind if I grab myself a drink before I do.

Dan Stone:
Sit down Will.

Will Draiman:
Why so serious Daniel? Something got you down, friend?

Dan Stone:
I think you know exactly what’s bothering me Will.

Will Draiman:
I do? Then you’ve gotten some kind of information that I don’t, cause I’m confused Daniel.

Dan Stone:
And I quote… “Without me, the dinosaur sanctuary known as North of the Border Pro Wrestling would cease to exist. I’m the only star in the company worth anything.”

Will Draiman:
…Still confused Daniel.

Dan Stone:
It’s Mr Stone.

Will Draiman:
I don’t think I like your tone Daniel.

Dan Stone:
This is serious Will. Something like this isn’t going to fly with me.

Will Draiman:
Something like what… Honesty Daniel? Because that’s what I heard when you read that quote. Honesty. What do you have in this relic of a wrestling company? You need me Daniel… I don’t need you. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to leave now, and forget this ever happened. I honestly thought you were smarter then this, bringing me in here, and have a meeting like this.

Dan Stone:
Your being released Will.

Will Draiman:
I’m being what now?

Dan Stone:
Released Will, your being released. I don’t need you, and I never did. You were an attraction, and you’ve run your course. I thought of keeping you around, but after this… Your not worth it. I do wish you the best…

Will Draiman:
**** you Daniel!

Dan Stone:
Please show yourself out Will.

Will Draiman:
Go **** yourself Daniel!

The specifics on what happened next , no one really knows as with every re-telling of the story it gets a little bit different. What can be said is that Dan Stone Sr. hadn’t lost his touch for stretching out a youngster… What was certain is that Will Draiman was no longer under the employ of NOTBPW. And with his bridge to CGC burnt down a long time ago, what would be next for Will Draiman…

The Offices of
4C

December 21st 2009

Troy Winner has always been a risk taker to the extreme. Firstly, being a man of a small stature, owning a company in a world populated by super-human giants. Second, to offer a style of wrestling that has never been able to find it’s niche in the country. And to do so for the past 15 years is nothing short of extraordinary… No pun intended. To meet Troy is to meet one of the most stand-up guys in the industry, having never to engage in a hostile manner towards any of his competition, and to just give the fans what they are looking for. But as with every situation that’s grown a little stale… It was time for a change.

News of Will Draiman’s sudden departure from NOTBPW sent shock-waves through the Canadian wrestling industry. He had the spotlight on him, especially with the critics looking to see what he was going to do next given that he’s now successfully alienated himself from not one, but both of Canada’s major wrestling promotions. Would he head to the states, and give that a go? Would he hang up the boots? Questions concerning Draiman would continue to be the talk of the town until those 15 minutes were up. Why not capitalize? Only question on Troy’s mind… Was it worth the risk this time?

Troy wanted desperately to deepen his talent pool, and at the fore front of those negotiations? Will Draiman. Who had just arrived, and 30 minutes early to boot. Troy had his secretary show Will in to his office. He met Will half way across the room, and the two men shook hands. Will was expecting a tiny office ala The Love Guru, but this was a fair size office he thought. Built more for a regular size person. Being that this wasn’t the first time Will had been in a meeting, he’d kept that little tidbit to himself. Again… No pun intended.

Troy Winner:
So glad to meet you Mr. Draiman. Your kind of legend around these offices.

Will Draiman:
Please Troy, just call me Will.

Troy Winner:
Alright… Will. Now, you know why I’ve asked you here, so I’m just going to get to the bottom of it. I can’t pay you what Dan Stone paid you. We just don’t have that kind of capital. But I think 4C is just the place for your style of work. Hard hitting, smash mouth, yet your ability to have an all out “wrestling” match would fit in with what we want to do here.

Will Draiman:
You think so… Hmm… Go on.

Troy Winner:
Lets face facts, you can head south, and make your name in the US, but your popularity here, in this country, trumps that, so it wouldn’t make any sense to go down there, and start over. Not to mention, the fan base we have here are as die hard as they come. They know what they want, and they want you. For example, we had our Back to Basics show a couple weeks ago, and a chant for you started up. Not to mention the signs in the crowd. That’s why I called you.

Will Draiman:
I’m going to stop you Troy. I know what your doing here, and I want to let you know that it’s not necessary. You want me to sign here, you want me to work for 4C, and give the fans what they want. They want me… and I want control.

Troy Winner:
Control? Control of what?

Will Draiman:
Give me the reigns Troy, give me the book.

Troy Winner:
The book? You want to booker job?

Will Draiman:
Yes Troy, I want to book for 4C. More importantly, I want not only to catch NOTBPW, and CGC, but I want to destroy them. I want to finish them. I want them to realize that losing m…. I mean I want them to realize that there is a market for what 4C is offering. A promotion circled solely around the untapped talent in this country. You’ve got the talent, I’ve got the drive, we’ve got the elements to make a run of this. All you have to do to get my drive, and my name value… Give me the book.

Troy Winner:
But Jason… He’s been so good with what we’ve been doing.

Will Draiman:
Troy… Jason may be good… But Troy… Is Jason Will Draiman? I didn’t think so. Ball’s in your court Troy… What are you going to do with it?

For a long time, Troy Winner sat at his desk in front of Will Draiman, and thought of the idea. Minutes passed without a sound from either man when finally Troy reluctantly said…

Troy Winner:
Ok Will… You’ve got a deal.

Quick OOC Note:
Wanted to thank Kam for his re-imagination of the 4C Logo/Banner which are incredible, and also wanted to thank Scottie for his "Martin Marleau" render as I'm using it as the render for Will Draiman. Also want to thank every single renderer on the GDS forums for all their work in the re-render project that will more then likely show up in this dynasty, as well as thank you to Adam Ryland for developing the game that we all know, and love.

As far as what this dynasty is going to look like. While there will be a few character development entries so you'll get the full Draiman effect, it's going to be more show write-ups then anything else. Hopefully you enjoy. As per usual, questions, comments, and criticisms are welcome.

Thomas Morgan vs Eric Blackley

The Technician Thomas Morgan could win the whole thing.

Leftie Wilkes vs Davis Wayne Newton

Only reason is because if DWN gets a big push he will go on to another company like NOTBPW or possibly CGC.

TJ Bailey vs Rajah

He sorta has name value.

Love what you wrote so far. Keep it up. I look forward to reading more.

Be the sickest, the illest, the most devastating disease this business has ever seen

Make the purists cry, make 'em fanboys rejoice

Be everything wrong with the industry

Be everything right with the sport

Kill every Doctor, every medicine, every cure they send

No mercy, No fear, No stoppin'

All adrenaline, All guts, all glory

North of the Border?

Canadian Grapplin'?

Can't tell us nothin'
