Thanks for your questions. Unfortunately John Cena left the company last year, losing a few matches on his way out. CM Punk famously lost his WWE Championship to the Miz last year in a "Loser Leaves WWE" match on an episode of RAW. The Undertaker, Kane, Sheamus and Kofi Kingston are indeed helping to carry the SmackDown! brand. As for Triple H, he is still winning matches on the RAW pre-show but is a little too old to be pushed heavily right now.

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Monday Night RAW:

Non-Title: WWE Champion Daniel Bryan versus Evan Bourne

This Sunday at the WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View Daniel Bryan will put his WWE Championship on the line against the “Rarebreed” Alex Riley. Evan Bourne will also be in action this Sunday at the Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View as he and his tag team partner from Friday Night SmackDown! Kofi Kingston will join the New Nexus pairing of Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel as well as the team of Jimmy and Jey Uso, collectively known as the Uso’s, in challenging the reigning WWE Tag Team Champions Epico and Darren Young for the WWE Tag Team Championships in a Fatal Four-Way tag team match. Before their respective Championship matches this Sunday, however, Daniel Bryan will take on Evan Bourne in tonight’s Monday Night RAW non-title main event. Tonight will be the third time that Bryan and Bourne will ever have faced one another in singles competition after Bryan defeated Bourne on an episode of RAW back in February of this year and then most recently Bryan defeated Bourne in another non-title Monday Night RAW main event back in April. Daniel Bryan and Evan Bourne also competed in last year’s RAW Money in the Bank Ladder match at last year’s WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View in July of last year as Bryan defeated Bourne, John Cena, William Regal, David Otunga as well as the current WWE United States Champion Michael McGuillicutty to win the Money in the Bank briefcase. Bryan of course held onto the Money in the Bank briefcase until Wrestlemania back in March when he defeated the former WWE Champion the Miz to become the new WWE Champion, a title that he has held ever since.

Non-Title: United States Champion Michael McGuillicutty vs. Vladimir Kozlov

The WWE United States Champion Michael McGuillicutty of the New Nexus will also be in action tonight on Monday Night RAW as he will take on the “Moscow” Mauler” known as Vladimir Kozlov in non-title action. This Sunday at the WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View Michael McGuillicutty will put his United States Championship on the line against the “Fortunate Son” Ted DiBiase whilst Vladimir Kozlov will also be competing this Sunday at the Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View as he will join McGuillicutty’s New Nexus colleague Skip Sheffield, Mark Henry, Zack Ryder, William Regal and David Hart Smith in the RAW Money in the Bank Ladder match. McGuillicutty and Kozlov have crossed paths several times throughout the past year or so, but Kozlov has never been able to defeat McGuillicutty. Kozlov and McGuillicutty’s first in-ring meeting came in a Fatal Four-Way tag team match at last year’s WWE Fatal Four-Way Pay-Per-View last June when Evan Bourne and Kofi Kingston defeated Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov, the New Nexus pairing of Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel as well as the fellow New Nexus members McGuillicutty and David Otunga to retain the WWE Tag Team Championships. Both Kozlov and McGuillicutty were also involved in the 30 Man Royal Rumble match this January at the WWE Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View when Sheamus defeated twenty-nine other WWE Superstars from both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown! to earn the chance to challenge for a Championship of his choice in the main event of Wrestlemania. Sheamus of course then defeated Big Show in the main event of Wrestlemania back in March to become the new World Heavyweight Champion, a title he still holds today. McGuillicutty and Kozlov then met again this February in the RAW Elimination Chamber match at the WWE Elimination Chamber Pay-Per-View when McGuillicutty defeated Kozlov, William Regal, Alex Riley, as well as his fellow New Nexus members Slater and Gabriel to earn the chance to challenge for the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania. McGuillicutty and Kozlov’s first one on one match came in April when McGuillicutty defeated Kozlov on an episode of RAW. The next month, in May, McGuillicutty then defeated Kozlov on another episode of RAW. In June, just last month, McGuillicutty earned two tag team victories over Kozlov as McGuillicutty teamed with Zack Ryder on two separate occasions to defeat the team of Kozlov and Ted DiBiase.

Non-Title: WWE Tag Team Champions Epico & Darren Young vs. Riley & DiBiase

This Sunday at the WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View Epico and Darren Young will put their WWE Tag Team Championships on the line in a Fatal Four-Way tag team match against the former Champions, Monday Night RAW’s Evan Bourne and his tag team partner from Friday Night SmackDown! Kofi Kingston, the New Nexus pairing of Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel, as well as the team of Jimmy and Jey Uso, collectively known as the Uso’s. Before their title defence this Sunday, however, Epico and Darren Young will be in non-title action tonight on Monday Night RAW as they will take on the team of Alex Riley and Ted DiBiase. Both Riley and DiBiase will also be competing in important Championship matches this Sunday as Alex Riley will challenge Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship whilst Ted DiBiase will take on the WWE United States Champion Michael McGuillicutty of the New Nexus with McGuillicutty’s US title on the line. Tonight will also be the very first time that this particular tag team contest will ever have taken place.

Finally, we will also hear from the WWE Champion Daniel Bryan tonight on Monday Night RAW before he takes on Evan Bourne in tonight’s Monday Night RAW non-title main event. This Sunday at the WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View Daniel Bryan will put his WWE Championship on the line against Alex Riley.

WWE Intercontinental Championship: Ezekiel Jackson © versus Jack Swagger

At the WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View this Sunday the WWE Intercontinental Champion Ezekiel Jackson, Jack Swagger, Trent Barreta, Kane, Finlay and Big Show will compete in the SmackDown! Money in the Bank Ladder match. Before their match this Sunday, however, two of the participants in the Money in the Bank Ladder match will face one another tonight as Ezekiel Jackson will put his WWE Intercontinental Championship on the line against Jack Swagger. Tonight will be Jackson’s first title defence since defeating the former Champion Big Show two weeks ago on Friday Night SmackDown! to become the new Intercontinental Champion for the third time. Jack Swagger is also a former Intercontinental Champion having held the title earlier this year before losing it to Ezekiel Jackson back at Wrestlemania in March. Jackson and Swagger have had several matches against one another in the past year or so, and competed in their first one on one match on an episode of SmackDown! back in March of last year, with Swagger picking up the all-important victory. The week after that, Ezekiel Jackson teamed with Randy Orton to defeat the team of Swagger and Wade Barrett in a Friday Night SmackDown! tag team main event. Swagger and Jackson didn’t cross paths again until December of last year when the Undertaker and Swagger defeated Jackson and Big Show in a Friday Night SmackDown! tag team main event. One week later, Swagger earned another tag team victory over Jackson as Swagger, the Undertaker and Cody Rhodes defeated the team of Jackson, Big Show and Finlay in a Six-Man tag team main event. At the Tables, Ladders & Chairs Pay-Per-View last December Swagger defeated Jackson in their second ever one on one match. Both Swagger and Jackson also participated in the 30 Man Royal Rumble match which took place at the WWE Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View back in January of this year, when Sheamus defeated twenty-nine other WWE Superstars from both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown! to earn a Championship opportunity of his choosing in the main event of Wrestlemania. Swagger picked up two more tag team victories over Jackson back in March as Swagger teamed with the Undertaker to defeat the team of Jackson and Edge before again teaming with the Undertaker to defeat the team of Jackson and Kane one week later. Jackson defeating Swagger to win the Intercontinental title at Wrestlemania was their last one on one match, however they have competed against one another a few times since then as Jackson teamed with Sheamus to defeat the team of Big Show and Swagger in a SmackDown! tag team main event back in April, and at the WWE Extreme Rules Pay-Per-View back in April Jackson defeated Edge, Kane and Swagger in a Fatal Four-Way match to retain his Intercontinental title. Jackson and Swagger’s final in-ring meeting before tonight came at the WWE Fatal Four-Way Pay-Per-View last month, in June, when then Intercontinental Champion Big Show defeated Jackson, Edge and Swagger in a Fatal Four-Way match to retain his title.

(Val Venis thinks that Hornswoggle needs to be booked a little smarter, he needs shorter matches as he was totally exposed by the length of this one.)

(Val Venis would seriously consider either turning Hornswoggle or trying a new gimmick, as he has become a stale character and needs a shake-up.)

Final Show Rating: D+

The following contests are confirmed to take place at tonight’s WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View:</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>

<strong>WWE Championship: Daniel Bryan © versus Alex Riley</strong></p><p>

Back at Wrestlemania in March, Daniel Bryan cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase after the Miz’s successful title defence against Michael McGuillicutty of the New Nexus. Bryan then defeated the Miz to become the new WWE Champion for the very first time. Since then, Bryan has made three successful title defences as he defeated Rey Mysterio in a Falls Count Anywhere match at the Extreme Rules Pay-Per-View in April and then defeated Mysterio again in a Last Man Standing match at the Over the Limit Pay-Per-View in May. Most recently Bryan defeated Alex Riley, Mark Henry and William Regal in a Fatal Four-Way match at last month’s Fatal Four-Way Pay-Per-View, in June. Tonight Daniel Bryan will put the title on the line in a one on one straight up match for the first time against Alex Riley.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>World Heavyweight Championship: Sheamus © vs. The Undertaker</strong></p><p>

After defeating twenty-nine other WWE Superstars from both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown! in the 30 Man Royal Rumble match back at the WWE Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View in January Sheamus earned the right to challenge for the Championship of his choosing in the main event of Wrestlemania. Sheamus chose to move to SmackDown! and in the main event of Wrestlemania in March he defeated Big Show to become the new World Heavyweight Champion for the very first time. Since then Sheamus has made three successful title defences including most recently defeating Kane, Finlay as well as Kane’s brother the Undertaker in a Fatal Four-Way match at last month’s Fatal Four-Way Pay-Per-View, in June. Sheamus has also defended the title against Big Show in a Steel Cage match back at the Extreme Rules Pay-Per-View in April and defended the title against Kane at the Over the Limit Pay-Per-View in May. Tonight Sheamus will put the title on the line for the fourth time as he takes on the former four time World Heavyweight Champion the Undertaker.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>RAW MITB: Regal vs. Kozlov vs. DH Smith vs. Henry vs. Ryder vs. Husky Harris</strong></p><p>

Six Superstars from Monday Night RAW will tonight compete in a Money in the Bank Ladder match with the winner getting a guaranteed shot at the WWE Championship at any time of their choosing in the next twelve months. William Regal, Vladimir Kozlov, David Hart Smith, Mark Henry and Zack Ryder were supposed to be joined by Skip Sheffield in this match but reports have surfaced recently that Sheffield has departed the New Nexus and that New Nexus member Husky Harris will instead take his place.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>SmackDown! MITB: Jackson vs. Finlay vs. Barreta vs. Show vs. Kane vs. Swagger</strong></p><p>

The WWE Intercontinental Champion Ezekiel Jackson, the Irishman who loves to fight Finlay, the high-flying daredevil Trent Barreta, the largest athlete in the World Big Show, the “Big Red Monster” Kane and the “All American American” Jack Swagger form the line-up of SmackDown! Superstars in the Friday Night SmackDown! Money in the Bank Ladder match. These Six men will all look to climb the ladder and retrieve the prestigious briefcase that will guarantee them a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship, currently held by Sheamus, at any time of their choosing in the next twelve months.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>WWE United States Championship: Michael McGuillicutty © vs. Ted DiBiase</strong></p><p>

Michael McGuillicutty of the New Nexus had perhaps the biggest victory of his young career so far last month, in June, at the WWE Fatal Four-Way Pay-Per-View as he defeated the former United States Champion Zack Ryder, as well as Ted DiBiase and Vladimir Kozlov in their Fatal Four-Way match to become the new WWE United States Champion for the very first time. Tonight McGuillicutty will make his first title defence since winning the title as he will take on the challenge of the “Fortunate Son” Ted DiBiase. McGuillicutty has never faced DiBiase one on one but as well as defeating him and two others to win the title, McGuillicutty is also undefeated against DiBiase in tag team matches as McGuillicutty and Daniel Bryan, the WWE Champion, defeated Alex Riley and Ted DiBiase in a Monday Night RAW main event just two weeks ago. In June McGuillicutty also teamed with Zack Ryder to defeat the team of DiBiase and Kozlov on an episode of RAW and in another tag team match on RAW in June McGuillicutty again teamed with Ryder to defeat DiBiase and Kozlov.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>WWE Tag Team Titles: Young & Epico © v Bourne & Kingston v Nexus v Uso’s</strong></p><p>

At the WWE Fatal Four-Way Pay-Per-View last month, in June, Darren Young and Epico defeated the former WWE Tag Team Champions, Monday Night RAW’s Evan Bourne and his tag team partner from Friday Night SmackDown! Kofi Kingston, as well as Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel of the New Nexus and the team of Jimmy and Jey Uso in a Fatal Four-Way tag team match to become the new WWE Tag Team Champions for the first time. Tonight Young and Epico will make their first title defence in another Fatal Four-Way tag team match against Bourne and Kingston, New Nexus members Slater and Gabriel as well as the Uso’s.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>WWE Divas Championship: Maryse © vs. Nikki Bella vs. Natalya</strong></p><p>

Also tonight Maryse will look to make the eighth successful defence of her WWE Divas Championship as she takes on fellow Monday Night RAW Divas Nikki Bella and Natalya in a Triple Threat match.</p><p> </p><p>

http://assets.huluim.com/shows/key_art_wwe_monday_night_raw.jpg

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Monday Night RAW:

WWE Championship: Alex Riley © versus Evan Bourne versus Daniel Bryan

Last night at the WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View Alex Riley made history when he defeated Daniel Bryan in the evening’s main event to become the new WWE Champion for the very first time. Tonight, just twenty-four hours after becoming the new WWE Champion, Riley must put his WWE Championship on the line in a Triple Threat match against the former Champion Daniel Bryan as well as the high-flying Evan Bourne in tonight’s Monday Night RAW main event. Evan Bourne was also in action at the Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View last night in losing action as he and his tag team partner from Friday Night SmackDown! Kofi Kingston failed to win back the WWE Tag Team Championships in a Fatal Four-Way tag team match that saw Hath Slater and Justin Gabriel of the New Nexus become the new WWE Tag Team Champions. Tonight will be the very first time that this particular Triple Threat match will ever have taken place.

Non-Title: WWE United States Champion Michael McGuillicutty vs. Ted DiBiase

Michael McGuillicutty of the New Nexus defeated Ted DiBiase last night at the WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View to successfully retain his WWE United States Championship and tonight on Monday Night RAW, just twenty-four hours after their match at the Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View, McGuillicutty and DiBiase will face off against one another once again, this time in non-title action. McGuillicutty is undefeated against DiBiase in all competitions as in addition to defeating DiBiase last night, McGuillicutty also defeated DiBiase, Vladimir Kozlov and the former Champion Zack Ryder in a Fatal Four-Way match back at the WWE Fatal Four-Way Pay-Per-View in June to become the new United States Champion. McGuillicutty also holds several tag team victories over DiBiase including McGuillicutty teaming with Zack Ryder in two consecutive episodes of RAW back in June to defeat the team of Ted DiBiase and Vladimir Kozlov. Also, just two weeks ago in a Monday Night RAW tag team main event McGuillicutty teamed with Daniel Bryan to defeat the team of Ted DiBiase and the current WWE Champion Alex Riley. Can McGuillicutty defeat DiBiase again tonight on RAW or will DiBiase pick up his first all-important victory over the New Nexus member? A victory for DiBiase may ensure he receives another opportunity to challenge McGuillicutty for the United States Championship.

WWE Tag Team Champion Heath Slater versus William Regal

Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel of the New Nexus became the new WWE Tag Team Champions for the second time last night at the WWE Fatal Four-Way Pay-Per-View when they defeated the former WWE Tag Team Champions Epico and Darren Young, Evan Bourne and his tag team partner from Friday Night SmackDown! Kofi Kingston, as well as the team of Jimmy and Jey Uso, collectively known as the Uso’s, in a Fatal Four-Way match to become the new WWE Tag Team Champions. Heath Slater, one half of the new Champions, will be in action tonight on Monday Night RAW as he will take on William Regal. Regal was also in action at the WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View as he joined David Hart Smith, Vladimir Kozlov, Mark Henry, Zack Ryder as well as Husky Harris of the New Nexus in the RAW Money in the Bank Ladder match. The Money in the Bank Ladder match was eventually won by Mark Henry and he can now challenge for the WWE Championship, currently held by Alex Riley, at any time of his choosing in the next twelve months. Tonight will be the very first time that Slater and Regal will ever have faced off against one another on RAW although they were both involved in the RAW Elimination Chamber match back at the WWE Elimination Chamber Pay-Per-View in February when Michael McGuillicutty defeated Slater, Gabriel, Regal, Kozlov and Riley to become the Number One Contender to the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania.

WWE Tag Team Champion Justin Gabriel versus David Hart Smith

As well as Heath Slater of the New Nexus being in action tonight against William Regal, the other half of the new WWE Tag Team Champions, Justin Gabriel, will also be in action tonight on Monday Night RAW as the New Nexus member will take on David Hart Smith. Slater and Gabriel became the new WWE Tag Team Champions for the second time last night when they defeated the former Champions Epico and Darren Young, Evan Bourne and his tag team partner from Friday Night SmackDown! Kofi Kingston, as well as the team of Jimmy and Jey Uso, collectively known as the Uso’s, in a Fatal Four-Way tag team match. David Hart Smith was also in action at the Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View as he joined Husky Harris of the New Nexus, Mark Henry, Zack Ryder, William Regal and Vladimir Kozlov in the RAW Money in the Bank Ladder match, which was ultimately won by Mark Henry. Tonight will be the very first time that Gabriel and Smith will ever have faced one another in singles competition on RAW.

Triple H versus Zack Ryder

Finally, the “Game” Triple H will also be in action tonight on Monday Night RAW as he will take on Zack Ryder. Triple H will likely have an advantage going into this match as he did not compete last night at the Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View whilst Ryder took part in the RAW Money in the Bank Ladder match along with William Regal, David Hart Smith, Vladimir Kozlov, Husky Harris of the New Nexus as well as the ultimate winner of the match, Mark Henry.

Quick Picks:

WWE Championship: Alex Riley © versus Evan Bourne versus Daniel Bryan

Non-Title: WWE United States Champion Michael McGuillicutty vs. Ted DiBiase

WWE Tag Team Champion Heath Slater versus William Regal

WWE Tag Team Champion Justin Gabriel versus David Hart Smith

The Anonymous RAW General Manager then sends an email to Michael Cole announcing that the main event of tonight’s Monday Night RAW will see Alex Riley put his newly won WWE Championship on the line in a Triple Threat match against both Daniel Bryan and Evan Bourne. Kofi Kingston lost the WWE Tag Team Championship Fatal Four-Way tag team match last night as Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel of the New Nexus defeated the team of Bourne and Kingston, the former WWE Tag Team Champions Epico and Darren Young as well as the team of Jimmy and Jey Uso, collectively known as the Uso’s, to become the new WWE Tag Team Champions.

The Anonymous RAW General Manager then sends another email to Michael Cole announcing that although Layla lost her match to Michelle McCool last night at the Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View, Friday Night SmackDown!’s Layla will join Natalya in challenging Maryse for the WWE Divas Championship at Summerslam next month in another Triple Threat match. Henry says that whenever he wants to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase he will become the new WWE Champion, but that at the moment Henry has his sights set on the US title. Evan Bourne comes to the ring and takes a microphone from the ringside area. Bourne says that he is disappointed that he and his tag team partner from Friday Night SmackDown! Kofi Kingston were unable to become the new WWE Tag Team Champions last night at the WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View as Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel of the New Nexus defeated Bourne and Kingston, the former WWE Tag Team Champions Epico and Darren Young, as well as the team of Jimmy and Jey Uso, collectively known as the Uso’s in a Fatal Four-Way tag team match to become the new WWE Tag Team Champions. However Bourne says that his future may be as a singles competitor, and that in tonight’s Monday Night RAW main event he will join Daniel Bryan in challenging Alex Riley for the WWE Championship in a Triple Threat match. Bourne says that he watched Riley defeat Bryan to become the new WWE Champion last night and that Bourne is hoping he can achieve the same dream tonight. The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown!:

World Heavyweight Championship: Sheamus © versus Finlay versus The Undertaker

This past Sunday at the WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View, the “Celtic Warrior” Sheamus defeated the Undertaker to successfully retain his World Heavyweight Championship. Tonight on Friday Night SmackDown! Sheamus will put his World Heavyweight Championship on the line for a fifth time when he takes on both the Undertaker as well as the “Fighting Irishman” Finlay in a Triple Threat match. Finlay was also in action at the WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View on Sunday as he joined the WWE Intercontinental Champion Ezekiel Jackson, Trent Barreta, the Undertaker’s brother Kane, Big Show, as well as Jack Swagger in the SmackDown! Money in the Bank Ladder match which was eventually won by Swagger. Jack Swagger will therefore be likely watching tonight’s Championship match very closely as he can now receive a World Heavyweight Championship opportunity at any time of his choosing for the next twelve months. Tonight will be the very first time that Sheamus has ever had to face both the Undertaker and Finlay in a Triple Threat match however at the WWE Fatal Four-Way Pay-Per-View last month, in June; Sheamus did defeat Finlay, the Undertaker as well as the Undertaker’s brother Kane in a Fatal Four-Way match to successfully retain his World Heavyweight Championship. Sheamus and Finlay also hold two tag team victories over the infamous “Brother of Destruction” as Sheamus and Finlay defeated Kane and the Undertaker in two main events of episodes of Friday Night SmackDown! in June.

WWE Intercontinental Championship: Ezekiel Jackson © versus Kane

As well as the World Heavyweight Championship being on the line tonight on Friday Night SmackDown!, the WWE Intercontinental Champion Ezekiel Jackson will also be looking to make the second successful defence of his WWE Intercontinental Championship as he will put the title on the line against the “Big Red Monster” Kane. Both Kane and Jackson competed this past Sunday at the WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View as they joined the high-flying Trent Barreta, the “Fighting Irishman” Finlay, the “Largest Athlete in the World” Big Show as well as the “All American American” Jack Swagger in the SmackDown! Money in the Bank Ladder match. Jack Swagger was ultimately victorious in the Money in the Bank ladder match this past Sunday and will therefore receive an opportunity to challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship, currently held by Sheamus, at any time of his choosing in the next twelve months. Tonight will be the very first time that Jackson and Kane will ever have competed against one another in singles competition however they have competed against one each other in tag team matches and also teamed up as a team back in March as Jack Swagger and the Undertaker defeated the team of Ezekiel Jackson and Kane on an episode of Friday Night SmackDown! Back in May of this year, Ezekiel Jackson teamed with the World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus to defeat the team of Kane and Big Show in a Friday Night SmackDown! tag team main event and just two weeks ago on SmackDown! Jackson once again teamed with the World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus to defeat the team of Kane and his brother the Undertaker in another Friday Night SmackDown! tag team main event. Jackson and Kane have both been involved in an Intercontinental Championship match together just once before previously as Jackson defeated Kane, Edge and Jack Swagger in a Fatal Four-Way match back at the WWE Extreme Rules Pay-Per-View in April to retain his Intercontinental Championship during a previous title reign.

Trent Barreta and Slam Master J vs. Drew McIntyre and Rob Conway

This past Sunday at the WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View Trent Barreta competed in perhaps the biggest match of his career to date as he joined the reigning WWE Intercontinental Champion Ezekiel Jackson, the veteran Finlay, Big Show, Kane as well as Jack Swagger in the SmackDown! Money in the Bank Ladder match. The Money in the Bank briefcase was ultimately won by the “All American American” Jack Swagger who will now have the opportunity to challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship, currently held by Sheamus, at any time of his choosing in the next twelve months. Barreta will be back in action tonight on Friday Night SmackDown! as he will team with Slam Master J to take on the team of Drew McIntyre and Rob Conway in tag team action. Drew McIntyre was embarrassed by Hornswoggle at the Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View this past Sunday and will be looking to earn his team a victory tonight to help build the Sinister Scotsman’s reputation back up. Tonight will be the very first time that this particular tag team match will ever have taken place although Barreta, Slam Master J, McIntyre and Conway did all compete in the Battle Royal which took place prior to Wrestlemania back in March, a match which saw God defeat Superstars from both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown!

God versus Joey Mercury

Finally, the ever mysterious God will also be in action tonight on Friday Night SmackDown! as he will take on Joey Mercury in singles competition. This is a rematch of the contest between God and Mercury which took place just last week on SmackDown! which saw Joey Mercury pick up the all-important victory. Both God and Mercury also participated in the Battle Royal which took place prior to Wrestlemania back in March, which God ultimately won as he eliminated other Superstars from both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown! Both God and Mercury also competed in this year’s Royal Rumble match.

Quick Picks:

World Heavyweight Championship: Sheamus © versus Finlay versus The Undertaker

WWE Intercontinental Championship: Ezekiel Jackson © versus Kane

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Kane defeated Ezekiel Jackson in 17:56 by pinfall with a Choke Slam. Kane wins the WWE Intercontinental title.

The World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus comes to the ring and is quick to retrieve a microphone from the ringside area. Sheamus proclaims that this past Sunday at the WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View he defeated the Undertaker to successfully retain his World Heavyweight Championship. Sheamus then announces that the Friday Night SmackDown! General Manager Vickie Guerrero has forced him to put his World Heavyweight Championship on the line in tonight’s main event in a Triple Threat match against both the Undertaker as well as his fellow Irishman, Finlay. Sheamus says that he is ready for tonight’s main event, but that he isn’t sure how Finlay will cope tonight after competing in the gruelling SmackDown! Money in the Bank Ladder match this past Sunday, along with Big Show, the new Intercontinental Champion Kane, Trent Barreta, Ezekiel Jackson as well as the ultimate winner of the Money in the Bank Ladder match Jack Swagger. Sheamus says that he can’t go easy on his friend Finlay tonight and that he will do everything in his power to retain his World Heavyweight Championship. Rosa Mendes then joins Sheamus in the ring and wishes him the best of luck in tonight’s main event, before Rosa kisses Sheamus on the cheek and heads to the back leaving the World Champion looking particularly pleased with himself.

The World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus is about to leave the ring and head to the back when he is joined in the ring by Finlay. Sheamus hands Finlay the microphone and Finlay promises that he is ready to compete in tonight’s Friday Night SmackDown! main event and will do everything in his power to defeat both Sheamus and the Undertaker in the Triple Threat match to become the new World Heavyweight Champion for the very first time. Finlay admits that he is a little hurt after competing in the SmackDown! Money in the Bank Ladder match this past Sunday at the WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View but says that he also saw Sheamus and the Undertaker almost tear each other to pieces in their match on Sunday as Sheamus defeated the Undertaker to retain his title. The lights then go out in the arena and when they come back on the Undertaker has Finlay by the throat. The Undertaker hits Finlay with a Chokeslam as the World Champion Sheamus looks on. The lights then go off again and when they come back on the Undertaker is nowhere to be seen. Sheamus then goes to check on his friend Finlay.

Rating: B-

Big Show comes to the ring and says that he is very angry that he was unable to win the SmackDown! Money in the Bank Ladder match this past Sunday at the WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View. Big Show says that he deserved to win the match more than all of the other participants such as Trent Barreta, Finlay, Ezekiel Jackson, the new WWE Intercontinental Champion Kane and even the eventual winner of the Money in the Bank Ladder match Jack Swagger. Big Show says that he will be watching tonight’s Friday Night SmackDown! main event very closely and whoever wins the match, with Sheamus putting his World Heavyweight Championship on the line in a Triple Threat match against both the Undertaker and Finlay, will have Big Show to worry about. Jack Swagger then comes to the entrance-way with his Money in the Bank briefcase in hand and reminds Big Show that he can cash in his briefcase and challenge for the World title whenever he wants.

Rating: C+

Rosa Mendes then joins Layla in the ring and congratulates her on her upcoming title shot. The Friday Night SmackDown! General Manager Vickie Guerrero then comes to the ring with Michelle McCool. Vickie slaps Rosa Mendes and then holds Layla up whilst Michelle McCool boots her repeatedly in the skull.

http://assets.huluim.com/shows/key_art_wwe_monday_night_raw.jpg

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Monday Night RAW:

Non-Title: WWE Champion Evan Bourne vs. WWE Tag Team Champ Justin Gabriel

Last week in the main event of Monday Night RAW Alex Riley put his WWE Championship on the line for the very first time in a Triple Threat match against both Evan Bourne as well as the man he defeated to win the WWE Championship just twenty-four hours before at the WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View, Daniel Bryan. Incredibly, Evan Bourne won last week’s WWE Championship Triple Threat match to become the new WWE Champion for the very first time and ending Riley’s WWE Championship reign after just one day. Following the conclusion of last week’s main event, Daniel Bryan assaulted Evan Bourne out of jealousy as he was unable to win his Championship back. Tonight, in Monday Night RAW’s non-title main event, Evan Bourne will compete in his first match since becoming the new WWE Champion as he will take on one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, and New Nexus member, Justin Gabriel. Gabriel’s partner, the other half of the WWE Tag Team Champions Heath Slater, will also be in action tonight on RAW as he will take on David Hart Smith in singles competition. Tonight will be the third time that Bourne and Gabriel will ever have faced one another in one on one action after Bourne defeated Gabriel on an episode of RAW back in April and then picked up another victory over Gabriel on another episode of RAW back in May. However, both Bourne and Gabriel have been involved in several tag team matches against one another and it was actually Slater and Gabriel who defeated Bourne and his former tag team partner Kofi Kingston back at the Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View last month to cause Bourne and Kingston to lose the WWE Tag Team Championships they had held for over a year. The other two teams involved in the Fatal Four-Way tag team match at the Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View were Jimmy and Jey Uso, collectively known as the Uso’s, as well as Darren Young and Epico. Can Gabriel defeat Bourne in one on one action for the first time now that Bourne is the WWE Champion though?

Non-Title: WWE United States Champion Michael McGuillicutty vs. William Regal

We learnt last week on Monday Night RAW that at the upcoming WWE Summerslam Pay-Per-View Michael McGuillicutty of the New Nexus will put his WWE United States Championship on the line in a Triple Threat match against both Ted DiBiase as well as Monday Night RAW’s Money in the Bank winner Mark Henry. Before his title defence at Summerslam, however, McGuillicutty will be in non-title action tonight on RAW as he will take on the wily veteran William Regal. Tonight will be McGuillicutty’s second match against Regal on RAW after McGuillicutty defeated Regal in another non-title match just last month on an episode of RAW. Both McGuillicutty and Regal also competed in the RAW Elimination Chamber match at the WWE Elimination Chamber Pay-Per-View back in February when McGuillicutty defeated Regal, Alex Riley, Vladimir Kozlov, as well as his fellow New Nexus members and current WWE Tag Team Champions Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel to become the Number One Contender for the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania. Both McGuillicutty and Regal also competed in the 2012 Royal Rumble match back at the WWE Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View in January as Sheamus defeated twenty-nine other WWE Superstars from both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown! to become the Number One Contender for the Championship of his choosing at Wrestlemania. Sheamus of course chose to challenge Big Show for the World Heavyweight Championship in the main event of Wrestlemania and still holds the title today after defeating Big Show.

WWE Tag Team Champion Heath Slater versus David Hart Smith

As well as Justin Gabriel of the New Nexus taking on the WWE Champion Evan Bourne in tonight’s Monday Night RAW non-title main event, Gabriel’s fellow New Nexus member and tag team partner Heath Slater, the other half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, will also be in action tonight on RAW as he will take on David Hart Smith in singles competition. Last week on RAW Justin Gabriel defeated David Hart Smith and Slater will be keen to prove that he can be just as successful as his partner with a win of his own tonight. Slater is currently undefeated against David Hart Smith after defeating him on an episode of RAW back in February as well as defeating Smith previously on another episode of RAW back in March of last year. Slater and Gabriel also earned a big tag team victory over David Hart Smith and Triple H at this year’s Wrestlemania back in March.

Alex Riley versus Daniel Bryan

Finally, two former WWE Champions will renew their rivalry tonight on Monday Night RAW as Alex Riley will take on Daniel Bryan. Riley defeated Bryan last month at the Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View to become the new WWE Champion but lost his newly won title just twenty-four hours later as Evan Bourne defeated both Bryan and Riley in a Triple Threat match last week on RAW to become the new WWE Champion. Monday Night RAW went off the air last week with Bryan assaulting Bourne as Riley simply walked away, and both men will be looking to prove a point tonight on RAW.

Quick Picks:

Non-Title: WWE Champion Evan Bourne vs. WWE Tag Team Champ Justin Gabriel

Non-Title: WWE United States Champion Michael McGuillicutty vs. William Regal

WWE Tag Team Champion Heath Slater versus David Hart Smith

Alex Riley versus Daniel Bryan

(Predictions are welcomed, there will be a prediction contest held every month.)

Natalya comes to the ring and says that she is the most dominant Diva on Monday Night RAW and that at Summerslam she will defeat both Friday Night SmackDown!’s Layla as well as the reigning WWE Divas Champion Maryse in their Triple Threat match to become the new WWE Divas Champion, a title that she will then hold for a very long time. Maryse then joins Natalya in the ring, flaunting the WWE Divas Championship she holds over her shoulder. Maryse tells Natalya that at one point she saw her as a friend, but then she realised that as the Divas Champion she doesn’t need friends. Maryse tells Natalya that nothing will stop her from defeating both Natalya and Layla at Summerslam to once again retain her WWE Divas Championship and prove that she is in fact the most dominant Diva that Monday Night RAW has ever seen. Maryse tells Natalya that once she realises that she won’t beat her perhaps they can become friends again. The pair stare at one another before Natalya heads to the back, leaving the Divas Champion to parade the ring with her title.

Rating: C

Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel of the New Nexus, the reigning WWE Tag Team Champions, make their way to the ring. Slater takes a microphone from ringside and announces that at Summerslam he and Gabriel will put their WWE Tag Team Championships on the line against the team of William Regal and David Hart Smith, who are apparently calling themselves the Coalition. Slater reminds the WWE Universe that their fellow New Nexus member and US Champion Michael McGuillicutty defeated William Regal in this evening’s Monday Night RAW opening non-title contest. Slater then announces that both he and Gabriel will be in action tonight on RAW as Slater will take on one half of the Number One Contenders for the WWE Tag Team Champions in David Hart Smith whilst Justin Gabriel will take part in tonight’s Monday Night RAW non-title main event as he will take on the new WWE Champion Evan Bourne. Slater hands the microphone to Gabriel who says that he saw Bourne defeat both Alex Riley and Daniel Bryan last week to become the new WWE Champion, but that he will lose his first match since becoming Champion tonight to Justin Gabriel.

Rating: C

Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel of the New Nexus pose in the ring with their WWE Tag Team Championships until they are interrupted by the new WWE Champion Evan Bourne. Evan Bourne strides into the ring and is quick to snatch the microphone out of Justin Gabriel’s hands. Bourne says that he looks forward to facing Justin Gabriel in tonight’s Monday Night RAW non-title main event, and that he also thinks that Slater and Gabriel will have their hands full when they defend their WWE Tag Team Championships against William Regal and David Hart Smith at Summerslam. Husky Harris of the New Nexus then rushes to the ring and attacks Bourne from behind, hitting him with a lariat to the back of the neck. Harris shakes hands with his fellow New Nexus members Slater and Gabriel and the WWE Tag Team Champions then head to the back. Husky Harris then picks up the microphone and stands over the fallen WWE Champion Evan Bourne to announce that at Summerslam he will be challenging Bourne for the WWE Championship. Harris tells Bourne that after Summerslam the New Nexus will hold all the gold.

Rating: C

WWE Tag Team Champion Heath Slater versus David Hart Smith

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Heath Slater defeated David Hart Smith in 12:45 by pinfall with a Leaping Chinlock Slam.

Match Rating: C+

Ted DiBiase comes to the ring and proclaims that at Summerslam he will defeat the reigning WWE United States Champion, Michael McGuillicutty of the New Nexus, as well as Monday Night RAW’s Money in the Bank winner Mark Henry in their Triple Threat match to become the new WWE United States Champion. DiBiase says that he saw McGuillicutty defeat William Regal in tonight’s non-title opening contest, but he is confident that he can defeat McGuillicutty and he also declares that he is not afraid of the World’s Strongest Man Mark Henry.

Rating: C-

Alex Riley versus Daniel Bryan

In a bout that had great heat and great wrestling action, Alex Riley defeated Daniel Bryan in 8:19 by pinfall with a Hit The Showers.

Match Rating: B

Non-Title: WWE Champion Evan Bourne vs. Tag Team Champion Justin Gabriel

In a match that had some good action and a good crowd, Evan Bourne defeated Justin Gabriel in 18:08 by pinfall with a Shooting Star Press.

Match Rating: B-

Following the conclusion of Monday Night RAW’s non-title main event, the WWE Champion Evan Bourne celebrates in the ring after his first victory since becoming the WWE Champion last week on RAW. One half of the WWE Tag Team Champions Justin Gabriel slowly rolls out of the ring as Bourne celebrates on top of one of the turnbuckles. However, Husky Harris of the New Nexus then again runs into the ring and pulls Bourne off of the turnbuckle, forcing him to land hard on the mat on the back of his head. RAW goes off of the air with Harris standing over the fallen WWE Champion. Will this be the scene at Summerslam?

Rating: C

Post-Show: Alicia Fox versus Melina

In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, Alicia Fox defeated Melina in 7:48 by pinfall with a Scissors Kick.

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown!:

World Heavyweight Championship: Sheamus © vs. Ezekiel Jackson vs. Undertaker

Last week in Friday Night SmackDown!’s main event, the World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus defeated both the Undertaker and Finlay in a Triple Threat match to successfully make the fifth defence of his World Heavyweight Championship. Ezekiel Jackson was also in action last week on SmackDown! as he lost his WWE Intercontinental Championship to Kane. Tonight, Ezekiel Jackson will have a chance at becoming the World Heavyweight Champion for the very first time as he joins the Undertaker in challenging Sheamus for the World Heavyweight Championship in the evening’s Triple Threat main event. Sheamus has held the World Heavyweight Championship since defeating Big Show in the main event of Wrestlemania back in March to become World Champion for the very first time. Sheamus earned the right to challenge Big Show for the World Heavyweight Championship in the main event of Wrestlemania by winning the 30 Man Royal Rumble match back in January at the WWE Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View, eliminating twenty nine other competitors from both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown! Sheamus had his first title defence back at the Extreme Rules Pay-Per-View in April when he defeated Big Show in a Steel Cage match in Big Show’s contractual rematch. At the Over the Limit Pay-Per-View back in May Sheamus defeated Kane to make his second title defence, and at the Fatal Four-Way Pay-Per-View in June Sheamus made his third title defence by defeating Kane, Finlay as well as Kane’s brother the Undertaker in a Fatal Four-Way match. More recently, Sheamus defeated the Undertaker at last month’s WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View, in July, to once again retain his title before beating both the Undertaker and Finlay in last week’s Triple Threat match. Tonight will be the first time that this particular Triple Threat match will ever have taken place, however Sheamus did team with Ezekiel Jackson in the main event of an episode of SmackDown! in July, just last month, to defeat the team of the Undertaker and the Undertaker’s brother Kane.

WWE Intercontinental Championship: Kane © versus Finlay

Last week on Friday Night SmackDown! Kane defeated Ezekiel Jackson to become the new WWE Intercontinental Champion for the third time. Tonight on SmackDown! Kane will make the first defence of his newly won WWE Intercontinental Championship as he faces the challenge of the man from Ireland who loves to fight, Finlay. This will be Finlay’s second Championship match on SmackDown! in a row as last week on SmackDown! Finlay joined Kane’s brother the Undertaker in challenging Sheamus for the World Heavyweight Championship in the evening’s Triple Threat main event. Sheamus however successfully retained his World Championship last week on SmackDown! and will tonight put the title on the line in another Triple Threat match in the evening’s main event against both the Undertaker and Ezekiel Jackson. Finlay has never before held the Intercontinental Championship and would surely love to win the title for the first time tonight on SmackDown!

Randy Orton versus Rob Conway

Also tonight on Friday Night SmackDown! the “Viper” Randy Orton will be in action as he will take on the “Con Man” Rob Conway in singles competition. Tonight will be the very first time that Orton and Conway will ever have faced one another on SmackDown! however they were both involved in this year’s 30 Man Royal Rumble match back in January, which was won by the current World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus.

God versus Drew McIntyre

The mysterious God will also be in action tonight on Friday Night SmackDown! as he will take on the “Sinister Scotsman” Drew McIntyre one on one. God and McIntyre have previously faced off against one another on six separate occasions on SmackDown! with God winning three of the matches and McIntyre winning the other three. This therefore makes tonight’s match very important as both men will be searching for the fourth win over their adversary. McIntyre and Conway most recently met in a tag team match back in July, just last month, as McIntyre teamed with Rob Conway to defeat the team of God and Slam Master J on an episode of SmackDown!

Trent Barreta versus Joey Mercury

The high-flying sensation that is Trent Barreta will also be in action tonight on Friday Night SmackDown! as he will take on a former three-time WWE Tag Team Champion in Joey Mercury. Barreta and Mercury have faced off against one another on SmackDown! on just one previous occasion when Barreta defeated Mercury on an episode of SmackDown! back in April. Barreta and Mercury also both competed in the 30 Man Royal Rumble match back at the WWE Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View in January, a match that was ultimately won by the current World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus.

Slam Master J versus Cody Deaner

Finally, the charismatic Superstar Slam Master J will also be in action tonight on a bumper edition of Friday Night SmackDown! when he will take on the original character that is Cody Deaner. Slam Master J and Cody Deaner have faced off against one another on SmackDown! on two previous occasions with Slam Master J victorious on both of their previous encounters as he defeated Cody Deaner on an episode of SmackDown! back in February and then defeated Deaner on another episode of SmackDown! the month later, in March. Will Deaner defeated Slam Master J for the first time tonight?
