Logan Anthony's Purgatory (an Over 9000-Verse Diary)

(OOC Notes: Ok, so the ECW diary is kinda in hiatus, right now, and with the release of the 9000-verse mod. Our main character/hero Logan Anthony, is going to have something that dramatically alter his life forever.)

Synopsis: Sometime in the not to distant future, ECW Co-Owner and Wrestler Logan Anthony, is finally achieving his dream of being booked in the Main Event at one of ECW flagship Pay per Views, Anarchy Rulez. Anthony had to pay a lot of dues, and going thru numerous stars, both ECW Alumni and rising talent. And not to mention some of the most memorable, and infamous storylines. But after 5 years, Anthony was booked to win his first major title in ECW, which was the world title. And he was supposed to get it from one of the men greatly associated with ECW. Tommy Dreamer.

Dreamer and Anthony had been on a 3 month feud over respect, ironically with Anthony helping Dreamer win the title by thwarting (then heel champion) Rob Van Dam in a Loser Leaves Town Last Man Standing Match. This lead to a series of type of “mentor vs. student” type match ups, each time the result would be stalemated either by Double Disqualification or the match being thrown out all together due to outside interference. But tonight would be the night that Logan Anthony would be solidified in ECW history. Or at least that was the plan anyway, but the funny thing about plans, is they don’t always work out the way it was expected to….

 

That night was supposed to be the greatest night in ECW history. It was 22 passion fueled, action packed minutes that kept the ECW crowd on its feet! The finish was supposed to be that Tommy Dreamer was supposed to give Logan Anthony a DDT, and then a Dreamer Driver, which Anthony was to kick out, and then Dreamer would go to the top rope and try for a Dreamer Driver from the top rope thru the table, only to have Anthony counter with a “cutter” thru the table and win the championship. But that did not happen. When Dreamer took Anthony up, and did the Driver, Anthony did the cutter, but he also landed wrong. The crowd knew something was wrong, when that spot happened, and yet Anthony wasn’t moving, and if that wasn’t a giveaway, the mixed expression of concern and anger of the messed up spot on Dreamers face surely told the tale. Dreamer would go on to RETAIN the ECW Title. But a messed up spot was the least of their worries.

 

Anthony was in the ring motionless after the match was over, which was flooded with the locker room and emergency personnel. The situation was getting scary as Anthony was getting evacuated to the nearest medical facility, where it was revealed that Anthony had landed wrong, not to mentioned that Anthony had pushed himself hard in that match and his body had gave out due to exhaustion and he was put into a form of a coma-like concussion. When Heyman asked how long this would be, the doctors had no idea how long this would be. And this is where the story begins.

 

Anthony: “Jeez, if fate wasn’t laughing its ass off at me before, its DEFINITELY laughing at me now. I mean been in the business for years and learning the ropes both inside and out, and after so long, I finally get a Title Shot. And then THIS HAPPENS….I DIE! Can you say irony? “

 

Finally a voice in the Darkness speaks out to Anthony.

 

Voice: “You are not dead my son.”

 

Anthony: “Ok, that’s good, I am not dead, however, where am I, and who are you?”

 

Voice: “I am actually SHOCKED that you don’t know who I am. Let just say that A LOT of people know who I am, and at one point VINCE MCMAHON thought he was me! And as far as where you are? Well, different type of people end up in their versions of purgatory. This is yours.”

 

After the “voice” says that, a series of “doors” appear before Anthony.

 

Anthony: “What are these?”

 

Voice: “These doors represent all of the interests that you have had in your life. From comic books to video games, to even politics, these are all interesting aspects of your life.”

 

Anthony: “So what am I supposed to do? “

 

Voice: “Choose a ‘path’ and do what you did when you were back on Earth, my son.”

 

Anthony: “A path??? Really? And how long is this is suppose to be???Hello?? "

 

The voice doesn’t respond and Anthony starts to traverse down to a makeshift “hallway” and sees several doors. He walks by an “Anime” door, which Anthony was a fan on growing up. Then he walks by one of his favorite video games, Street Fighter! But something inside tells him not to open it. He then walks by a door that suddenly remind him of things with just 3 letters. ”G.D.S.” He remember GDS and friends (and many enemies) he has made there. A smile creeps over his face but as he is about to turn the knob, he sees one final door, the last door, and he feels that he has to open it….

“The Marvel/DC Coalition”

 

Being a huge fan of comic books since he was a child, he walks away from the GDS door and go to the M/DC door. He turns the knob and the voice speaks out in the darkness.

 

Voice: “Anthony, you have choosen your path, when you walk thru the door, you will have an advisor who will let you know what is going on. Good Luck my son.”

 

As Anthony proceeds thru the door, a flash of light blinds Anthony, and then the unlikeliest person in the world, appears before Anthony.

 

“Hello True Believer!!” the Old man Says.

 

“STAN LEE!!!???” Anthony says.

Anthony notices that his voice is a little bit “different”, its actually deeper than usual.

 

Stan: Welcome to the Marvel/D.C. Coalition, Mr. Anthony. There are a couple of things you need to learn here. Number 1: Is that this is not like the “world” you have just came from, in fact this is an alternate reality. So whatever you see or experience here, don’t freak out. Number 2: This “realm” isn’t just limited to just Marvel and DC “citizens”. You will soon learn and see this… and umm the final thing is..”

 

Before Stan can finish, Anthony looks down at his hands and see his hands are “white” and he is in a blue jump suit.

 

Anthony: “What the hell happened to me? I mean why am I WHITE??

 

Stan Lee goes to the back of the room and begins to get a mirror..

 

Lee: “Yeah, that was the other thing I wanted to tell you. You see you cant come to this realm with your own body, so you kinda had to ‘borrow’ a body. And it someone REALLY well known in this realm. Steve Rogers.

Lee shows Anthony his reflection in the mirror, which Anthony is shocked and amazed.

 

Anthony: “You mean to tell me, I am CAPTAIN FREAKIN’ AMERICA!!!!???”
