HVPW: The Real Wrestling Alternate.

Recommended Posts

This is my first attempt at a diary, so be please be nice. Lol. And I will be using the T-Zone data. If anyone wants to design a logo for please feel free. Not something I'm good at

Not going to do much of a back story, but High Voltage Pro Wrestling, (HVPW) is an upstart company with no employees, based out the Great Lakes area, will be cult size. Starting with monthly and weekly live events, then hoping to build up to a weekly t.v deal.

<iframe width="560" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/-FUAYez3nY4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Dark Match Haas, Raven and Titus defeated Cabana, Lynn and London in a good match, in 9:39 when Raven hit Colt with The Raven Effect. Russell did some good work at ring side (C-)

Devildriver's Dead To Rights explodes through the pa system as fireworks go off all around the arena and HVPW is Live on PPV.

"Welcome everyone to HVPW and this is Dead To Rights, I'm Dave Prazak. Joining me tonight is Joey Eastman and the wonderful Pat Kenny."

Eastman says hello and welcomes everyone the the show.

"Shut up Eastman, I am the best colour man in the business and one day Prazak Pat Kenny is going to be the number one announcer here. Now let's start the show."

Tag Team Titles

Evans and Hart V Briscoes V FBI

In a good opener which had the Tag Team Titles on the line. The match featured some good action. The Briscoes took the win and the tag titles after nearly 13 minutes. Evans and Hart went first then The FBI. (C-)

Shane Helms is backstage cutting a promo about how he is here to take HVPW to the top, when Paul Burchill appears, the two get into scuffle that has to be seperated. (D+)

Kenn Doane and 'The Japanese Legend' Ultimo Dragon are up next,

the match had great in-ring action but a non-existent crowd. Ultimo picked up the victory with the Asai DDT, 10:56. (C-)

Shane Helms V Paul Burchill

In a match, that got over like their segment, had some good action but Burchill couldn't get any heat, Helms got the win with Nightmare on Helms Street inside 13 minutes. (D+)

Gaspard V Gordy

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Ray Gordy defeated Shad Gaspard in 12:05 by pinfall with a Diving Senton. (C-)

Lashley is walking around backstage, he turns a corner only to get GORED. Rhino taunts Lashley after laying in some kicks. On commentary we here Kenny going all Paul E. screaming GORE GORE GORE. (C-)

North American Title

Austin Aries V Jay Lethal

In the match of the night so far, Aries got the win and the title after 14:27. In a surprise twist Kevin Nash showed up, distracted Lethal allowing 'A Double' to hit the 450. (C+)

After the match Nash and Aries lay a savage beat down on Lethal, with Nash hitting the Jackknife followed by Aries hitting a 450 again. (C-)

Lashley V Rhino

Rhino spent most of the match working on Lashley's ribs. Lashley managed to turn it around and hit the Dominator to take the match in 13:15. ©

World Heavyweight Title

Sean Waltman V Low-Ki V Shelton Benjamin

In easily the match of the night, the three high flyers didn't disappoint, the match was evenly fought, with all three getting their fair share, the match ended when Benjamin was bumped outside, allowing Low-Ki to hit the Warriors Way on Waltman. (B-)

http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k61/randyorton101fan/Low%20Ki%20and%20LAX/untitled.jpg

Ki is celebrating in the ring, as Dave Prazak is thanking everyone for joining us on this amazing night, whilst the show fades out.

Final rating C, The angles used didn't match the quality of the matches, the show did hurt our popularity, but was gonna be hard to put on a show that would increase our popularity given the workers I could sign. All in all I was happy with the show in the end.

<p><strong>HVPW Live Preview</strong></p><p> </p><p>

After Low-Ki getting arguably the biggest win of he's career, on HVPWs debut ppv, Ki will put the title on the line against the man he pinned at the ppv, Sean Waltman. 'A Double' will put he's newly won North American Title on the line against Paul London, will Nash interfere again? Will the Raven Effect take down the monster gangsta in Shad Gaspard, and Shane Helms takes on one half of the WGTT (Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team) in Charlie Haas. The HVPW tag team Champs will be in attendance, will they have anything in store for WGTT?</p><p> </p><p>

Low-ki V Sean Waltman (C-)</p><p>

Week 1 July

Kolf Sports Center, Attendance 5,775

Dark Match: Jack Evans and Teddy Hart defeated Flipmare (Flip Kendrick and Frightmare) and FBI in 9:01; the order of elimination was Flipmare first, and finally FBI. (C-)

Shelton Benjamin comes down to the ring to start the show. He takes a microphone and starts talking to the crowd, saying he is here to prove he is the greatest and that the WGTT is already the greatest. Before eventually getting interupted by Bobby Lashley. They have a big argument, going back and forth on the microphone, before agreeing to face each other later on in a singles match. (C+)

North American Title

'A Double' V Paul London

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Austin Aries defeated Paul London in 14:52 by submission with a Horns of Aries after interference from Kevin Nash. Austin Aries makes defence number 1 of his HVPW North American title. What is the relationship with Nash and Aries.

Raven V Shad Gaspard

In a match that the D stood for decent, Raven got the win with The Raven Effect in 10:13, for some reason though, the debuting Erick Stevens ran in attacked Gaspard behind the ref's back. (D)

Shane Helms V Charlie Haas

The two put on a pretty good match, but it ended in 15:48 by pinfall when the Nightmare on Helms Street stood supreme. ©

Lashley V Benjamin

The two put on a good match but at the 11:43 mark, Rhino made he's presence felt, by attacking Lashley causing the ref to throw the match out. (C+)

After the match Benjamin and Rhino continue the assault on Lashley, not long after Colt Cabana hits the ring to aid Lashley, then some unfamiliar music hits,

http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee97/Gsquared_2007/WCW%20Reborn/Eric_Bischoff.jpg

Bischoff announces that we will have a tag team match, Lashley and Cabana V Benjamin and Rhino. Starting right now (C-)

In a good bout with average heat Rhino hits Cabana with the GORE GORE GORE, calm down Kenny, in 14 and a half minutes. (C+)

Eric Bischoff is back in he’s office, when The Briscoes bust in saying that we are Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team, and even though they hold the belts, no one believes them and wont until they defeat WGTT. Bischoff looks at them and says “Ok. Next week prove it.” (D)

World Heavyweight Title

Sean Waltman V Low-Ki

In a good main event, Waltman and Ki put on a good show, the match ended just inside the 17 minute mark, after a Warriors Way. Low-Ki made he's 1st defence.©

After the bout Waltman was p*ssed that for 2 weeks in a row, the Warriors Way beat him, and attacked Ki from behind. Screaming "I will f*cking beat you"

Week 2 July, PA Stabler Arena 6,000 (Sell Out)</p><p> </p><p>

Jerry Lynn V Kenn Doane</p><p>

A nice opener for the show, did lack some heat though. Kenn Doane managed to get the win with a Doane-Nation, in 9:34. (C-) </p><p> </p><p>

Jay 'Black Machismo' Lethal V Kid Kash</p><p>

OOOHHH YEEAAAAAAAHHHHHHH</p><p>

Black Machismo enters the arena, much to fans delight. Him and Kash put on good display. The match ended with a Lethal Combination, a twirl of the finger then the Top Rope Elbow Drop. In 12:44. After the match Lethal takes he's hat and glasses places them in the center of the ring and leaves, as the fans chant 'Machismo.' (D+).</p><p> </p><p>

Sean Waltman V Colt Cabana</p><p>

Waltman did get to release some of he's frustration in this match, though was troubled by Cabana towards. Waltman managed to hit the X-Factor out of nowhere to take the win after 13:30. © </p><p> </p><p>

The Briscoes V WGTT</p><p>

In a match that stole the show, at about the 18 minute mark Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team look in danger of losing that title, when Haas hit Mark with a steel chair, the ref had no choice but to disqualify WGTT, which left both the Briscoes and the fans annoyed. (B-)</p><p> </p><p>

Pat Kenny climbs into the ring, then is joined by Kevin Nash and The North American Champion, Nash goes on to talk how he came here, after Aries called him and said 'Big Sexy' I need your help, you can take me to the top. Nash and Aries than went on to bury Lethal, saying that at the next PPV Ripped Apart, that Lethal will indeed be 'ripped apart'. (B-)</p><p> </p><p>

Low-Ki and Lashly V Rhino and Chris Cage</p><p>

In a match that was a bit of a let after the last one, but still a good match. The Warriors Way reigned supreme again after Cage fell victim to it in the 16th minute. ©</p><p> </p><p>

As Low-Ki is about to leave the ring Waltman runs in and attacks him, for the second time tonight we see the X-Factor. Waltman picks up the World Heavyweight Title and points to it screaming "At Ripped Apart, I WILL BE WORLD CHAMPION" (D+)</p>

Week 3 July, Carnesecca Arena 6,008 (sell-out)</p><p> </p><p>

Charlies Haas V Jay Briscoe</p><p>

In a really good opener, in which both men went all out and tried to get the win for their respective teams. It all ended in the 15th minute when Jay Briscoe hit the Jay-Driller,</p><p>

<iframe width="425" height="349" src="<a href="http://www.youtube.com/embed/VD3VI4ijV-0" rel="external nofollow">http://www.youtube.com/embed/VD3VI4ijV-0"</a> frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe></p><p>

and picked up the win. ©</p><p> </p><p>

Pat Kenny is in the ring and asks Shelton Benjamin to join him, during the interview Benjamin proclaims, "I am part of Wrestling's Greatest tag team, and I will one day prove to be WRESTLINGS GREATEST. Mark Briscoe you will fall too 'Wrestling's GREATEST', than at Ripped Apart Charlie and I will take the Tag Team Titles and PROVE we are the GREATEST." ©</p><p> </p><p>

Stevie Richards V Bobby Lashley</p><p>

Richards made he's debut in good match, in which he controlled the action and got pretty good heat. Lashley made he's come back and hit the Dominator to take the win in 14:48. ©</p><p> </p><p>

After the match whilst Lashley is celebrating, Rhino runs in and beats him down. During which he hits Pat Kenny's favorite move, you guessed it, the GORE GORE GORE. (D+)</p><p> </p><p>

Rhett Titus's music hits, he and he's manager Jesse Russell hit the ring, <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Russell:</span> "Rhett, whats 'the love' hold for tonight?" <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Rhett:</span> "Jay you know damn well that I'm no longer addicted to 'the love,' I am now addicted to titles and winning." <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Russ:</span> "Well with that, should we tell these people about our a surprise?" <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Rhett</span> "What are we gonna waste that on these people?" <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Russ:</span> Yeah your right. We won't until we get what we deserve." ©</p><p> </p><p>

Mark Briscoe V Shelton Benjamin</p><p>

In a very good match, which Benjamin mainly controlled. Mark managed a good come back, but it wasn't enough. Benjamin hit the Paydirt, wow, <iframe width="425" height="349" src="<a href="http://www.youtube.com/embed/4tXjmTPxmUo" rel="external nofollow">http://www.youtube.com/embed/4tXjmTPxmUo"</a> frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe></p><p>

and took the win, in 15:03. (C+)</p><p> </p><p>

Jay Lethal is in the ring taking he's turn at taking a shot at 'A Double' and 'Big Sexy.' During which Nash showed up, he distracted Lethal just long enough for Aries to attack him from behind. Then it was the same story, Jacknife then 450. Nash looked good, but Aries came off bad during this segment. (D+) </p><p> </p><p>

Low-Ki and Colt Cabana V Raven and Sean Waltman</p><p>

In a good match, in which, we were left to wonder why there wasn't much heat, 'Waltman?' maybe not. After Ki and Waltman hit the floor, then the ramp, Ki through Waltman off the stage, than hit the Warriors Way onto the floor. Back in the ring, Raven hit the bulldog from the corner, than the Super Kick, follow by the Raven Effect. Which left Cabana with no chance. © </p><p> </p><p>

Overall rating was C. Still can't produce a show to increase our popularity.</p>

Shane Helms V Stevie Richards

In a decent opener, the two produced a solid performance. The match ended when the Nightmare on Helms Street connected in 13:11.

Non Title

North American Champion Austin Ares V Ultimo Dragon

In a really good match, but with not much heat. Around the 12 minute mark, Jay Lethal ran down and tried to help Dragon, though he accidentally hit him, then with both the ref and Dragon looking at him confused. Nash slide into the ring, Ultimo turned around to get hit with the big boot, Nash rolled out of the ring. Allowing Aries to lock in the Horns of Aries, Ultimo had no choice but to tap in 13:05. ©

Shelton Benjamin V Jay Briscoe

In one of the best matches in HVPW's short history, it had great in-ring action and a good crowd. Both of their respective partners managed not to get involved which made the bout better. It ended in 17:06 when Benjamin hit the Paydirt. Briscoe proved that he is ready for the big time, with this performance. (B-)

Jay Lethal V Chris Cage

Lethal got he's chance to build some momentum leading into the ppv, and appeared to be doing so. When he started to make he's comeback and gained control of Cage, then Nash walked out to ring side, distracting Lethal. Which allowed Cage to hit the Fireman's Carry Gutbuster to take the win in 13:45. ©

Low-Ki and Bobby Lashley V Rhino and Sean Waltman

In a good main event, which had good in-ring action and good heat. Waltman and Rhino controlled most of the match, but when Lashley and Rhino the floor and started to brawl around. Ki managed to lock in the Dragon Clutch. Which left Waltman no choice but to tap, Ki and Lashley took the victory in 13:35. ©

After the match Low-Ki and Lashley are celebrating. When Rhino slides a table in the ring, then throws Ki over the top rope. Lashley turns to get hit with a GORE. Rhino sets the table up. Picks up Lashley and Power Bombs him right through it. (C-)

Final show rating C

The angles used didn't match the in-ring standards

This show hurt our overall popularity. (When we get on t.v and in a few months this will change.)

Why couldn't we have a great band, like The Coral."

Shane Helms V Ray Gordy

Helms and Gordy put on a good opener, Gordy controlled most of the match, but didn't get over much. He's downfall occurred, when Helms rolled out of the way of the Senton Bomb, and then connected with The Nightmare on Helms Street and took the win in 13:40. (C-)

Shad Gaspard V Stevie Richards

Another decent match. Where Stevie really took it to Gaspard, still he couldn't get he's breakthrough win. Gaspard connected with Thugnificent in 14:20.

(C-)

North American Title

Austin Aries V Jay Lethal

The two were putting on a really good performance, until Lethal took control. Which caused Nash to infer, instead of referee Brian Hebner disqualifying 'A Double,' he ordered Kevin Nash to the back. Which pleased the fans to no-end. The match continued right up until 13th minute when Aries managed to hit the 450 splash, and got he's 2nd title defense. Even without the help of Nash. ©

Next we head up the ring with Pat Kenny.

"At this I would like to welcome someone to the HVPW ring for the first time."

<iframe width="425" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/yRtvLLEI_vg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Foley hits the ring as the fans start to chant. 'Foley, Foley, Foley,'

"So Mick what are you doing here in HVPW" "Well Pat, they rang and asked to appear tonight. And I said I'd love too." Kenny: "So what is your role going to be in HVPW or this just a one night deal?" "No Pat, I am part of the HVPW family. Though I don't have an official role yet, whether I'll be managing someone, or going up against Eric Bischoff as an commissioner. I don't know yet. Or I could be taking your spot on the announce team." Kenny: "I don't see that happening any time soon Mick. Anyway thanks for joining us tonight. And enjoy the rest of the show." (B)

Jimmy Yang V Raven

In a match with some good in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Raven controlled most of the match with Yang making some comebacks along the way. Yang wasn't crafty enough to beat the ring veteran Raven. It all ended with the Raven Effect in 12:06 (C-)

Colt Cabana V Paul Burchill

The two put on a great performance, with a strong back and fourth action. 'Boom Boom' reigned supreme with the Colt .45 in 12:15. ©

A hype Video airs for the up coming the match between Lashley and Rhino. ©

Bobby Lashley V Rhino

The two put on the match of the night, with lots of hard hitting and brawling. Even a Gore on the outside and a spear by Lashley. The spear appeared to be the winner, when after it connected Lashley hit the 'Dominator' and took the match by pinfall in 13:25 (C+)

HVPW Tag Team Titles

The great matches keep on coming, the two tag team veterans put a class showing in tag team wrestling, through Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team proved it and took the win when Benjamin hit the Paydirt on Mark Briscoe, in 19:25. (C+)

<iframe width="425" height="349" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/gwm7clnzRNY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

All Night Express hit the ring with their manager Jesse Russell. Kenny: "Is this the surprise that Rhett and Russell promised." The 3 man proceeded lay a beatdown on the new Tag Team Champs and The Briscoes. When they finish The Express pose with the tag titles before leaving. This segment didn't go over all at well.(D-)

A video airs for the up coming World Title match (C-)

HVPW World Heavyweight Title

In another quality match, Ki and Waltman produced some great action but not much in the way of heat. It took just over 20 minutes then Ki hit the Warriors Way to retain he's title. The show went off the air with him holding the title aloft and celebrating. (C+)

Overall rating C. What hurt it probably was the post match beat down after the tag match.
