Nakajima & Marufuji V WGTT

In a good debut, and a good opener. Nakajima & Marufuji were looking get a victory against WGTT. Though Marufuji sprained ankle slowed him down which ultimately cost them, which ended when Nakajima was forced to tap out to the Haas of Pain in 11:31. (C-)

Raven, Paul Burchill, Sean Waltman and Rhino are backstage hyping their upcoming 8 man tag against. Just you typical crammed 8 man hype. (D)

Colt Cabana V Yoshihiro Tajiri

The Japanese flavour continued in this bout. Tajiri looked to turn it around for he's country men. And nearly got the job done, the green mist failed to hit it's target and Cabana nailed the Colt .45 and got the pin fall in 16:36. ©

After the match, Lethal gets the mic, and starts saying that he want he's shot at the North American title and doesn't want to wait till Damage Is Done. The match featured great in-ring action and some average heat. And probably should have been done on a PPV. Though it was the Match of the Night. It ended when Corino made he's way to ring side. Distracted referee Aaron Mahoney, and Bischoff ran down and hit Low-Ki in the back with a steel chair. Which lead to Van Dam hitting the 5 Star Frog Splash. Then 1...2...3 HVPW has a new WORLD'S HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION. All in 20:09. (C+)

After picking up the victory, Rob Van Dam, Steve Corino and Eric Bischoff. Celebrate in the ring. As the fans Boo and throw rubbish in the ring. (D+)

HVPW Wrestling Preview

After Bischoff's shocking actions last week HVPW has a new World's Heavyweight Champion in Rob Van Dam. Low-Ki has invoked he's standard rematch clause. HVPW President Mick Foley has said that, he will be in Low-Ki's corner to make sure it doesn't happen again. We have a very exciting match booked for the first in nearly a decade in North America, Tajiri takes on Ultimo Dragon. The Briscoes get a chance to build some momentum when they take on Jack Evans & Teddy Hart going into Damage is Done. Shad Gaspard gets back in the HVPW ring for the first time in a long while as he goes against 'The Cool One' Carlito Colon and Bobby Lashley Takes on Homicide.

HVPW Wrestling, Wk 3 Carnesecca Arena Att: 6,008

Ultimo Dragon V Yoshihiro Tajiri

In a really good opener, both the Japanese veterans left it all in ring. And put on one of the best openers in HVPW history, and left the crowd wanting more. It ended when Tajiri hit the buzzsaw kick and got the pin fall in 11:51. (C+)

Backstage, security are preventing Rhino and Shane Helms from fighting with each other. Though no one knows why.(D+)

Bobby Lashley V Homicide

The bout featured good action and average heat. Cide even managed to get on top of the powerhouse, for a long period. And proved again that he can hang with the best in HVPW. Though it wasn't enough and Lashley hit the Dominator and got the pin fall in 11:48. (C+)

Bischoff and Van Dam are backstage in Bischoff's office. Talking about the big rematch tonight. Van Dam is boasting that Low-Ki is nowhere near he's level and that he will prove it tonight, because he is everyone's favorite supers... I mean wrestler, because he is "R....V....D" The Whole F'N Show. Bischoff says that if that fat so called President of HVPW get's involved he will show him why he was a karate champion. (C+)

The Briscoes V Jack Evans and Teddy Hart

The Briscoes were looking to build momentum as Evans & Hart were trying to move up the tag team ranks. Both teams continued to prove why HVPW has the best tag team wrestling in the business. It all ended in 11:41 when Jay Briscoe hit the Jay-Driller on Jack Evans. (B-)

Carlito Colon V Shad Gaspard

In a very disappointing bout, especially after the great matches before it. Luckily it didn't last to long. Colon hit The Backstabber and got the pin fall in 9:47. (D+)

In another top match. Which featured great in ring action, and average heat. Mick Foley was in Low-Ki's corner and Bischoff was in RVD's. It started to look as if Low-Ki was going to win the title back, when Bischoff went to get involved. Before he could intervene, Mick Foley chased him all the way to the backstage area. Which led to Steve Corino making he's way to ring side. Van Dam faked a knee injury which led to referee Jason Harding checking on him as Corino jumped in the ring and hit the Old School Expulsion, after this RVD's leg seemed fine as he climbed to the top rope and hit the Five Star Frog Splash. Just as Foley walked back through the curtain. Van Dam retained he's title by pin fall in 18:26. (B-)

After the match Mick Foley grabs the microphone. "Bischoff I will not let you do this to this company. You will not control the whole promotion. I was appointed as President because I believe in this company, and said I would take it to the top. And one of those things that will take HVPW to the top is, giving opportunities to guys that have never had one. That myself and the fans believe in. And one of those men is the new Number 1 contender to that man RVD's World's Heavyweight Championship. And that man is....

HVPW Wrestling has a stacked card, with the former World Champion Low-Ki joining forces with new Number 1 Contender, Colt Cabana and the North American Number 1 Contender Jay Lethal to take on Bischoff's men in Steve Corino, World Heavyweight Champ RVD and North American Champ Austin Aries in a giant 6 man tag bout. Will Mick Foley be in attendance? Amazing Red makes he's t.v debut against one half of Tag Team Champ's in Shelton Benjamin. The other half is a 3 way dance, and Sean Waltman is back to take on Ultimo.

Yoshihiro Tajiri V Charlie Haas V Jay Briscoe

This bout featured great in ring action and average heat. And was a classic example of triple threat wrestling. As the Briscoes were trying to continue building momentum into Damage is Done, Jay was successful in doing so. When he hit the Jay-Driller on Charlie Haas and got the pin fall in 14:32. (C+)

Prince Nana is backstage conducting an interview with Rob Van Dam, who hypes an upcoming match against Colt Cabana. Typical RVD promo, he will win at Damage is Done, because he is The Whole F'N Show, 4:20. (C-)

Ultimo Dragon V Sean Waltman

The two veterans put a good match, though it could have been better as it seemed both workers were holding back slightly. It went back and fourth for the main part. Waltman managed to get the victory when he hit he X-Factor and got the pin fall in 13:46. ©

Eric Bischoff makes he's way to the ring. "When I came to this company, I thought, you know. I love that high flying, car crash style hard hitting wrestling that the cruiser weights can deliver. And I decided that the time is right. If this match is successful then we are talking about bringing in a Cruiser weight title to HVPW. Prince Nana has an interview with the wrestler we all want to see - Shane Helms! But Rhino appears with a lead pipe, and hits Helms in the knee. Nana calls for EMTs as Rhino gloats. The crowd will hear later that Helms has been rushed to the emergency room. (D)

Backstage, Mick Foley runs into Steve Corino and informs that he will be facing both Bobby Lashley and Yoshihiro Tajiri in a three-way at Damage is Done. Corino is livid. (B-)

Amazing Red V Shelton Benjamin

In a good match with average heat. Even with Red off he's game was still quite good. Even with the possibility of a Cruiser weight it wasn't enough to spur Red over the line. He fell just short in 14:51 when he was hit with the Paydirt. ©

Bischoff is sitting at he's desk, when Corino busts in, "Eric, what the hell man? I thought Foley wasn't going to get involved with anything we did. First off Tajiri, he still hates me. Hasn't spoke to me in 10 years. And I think he want's to end my career, then Lashley. What did I ever do to him? That dude is just all muscle and no brains." Bischoff: "Steve, relax it's ok. Rob and I have it under control. We've made a few calls. And don't worry you wont be alone." (B-)

Colt Cabana, Jay Lethal & Low-Ki V Van Dam, Steve Corino & Austin Aries

In a bout that featured great action and average heat, Low-Ki, Jay Lethal and Colt Cabana defeated Rob Van Dam, Steve Corino and Austin Aries in 17:10 when Low-Ki defeated Austin Aries by submission with a Dragon Clutch. ©

Final Show Rating was C. Some how it hurt our popularity. I thought besides Rhino and Helms it was one of our best shows.

HVPW Wrestling did it's worse rating ever, on America One of 1.54. The show was headlined by Low-Ki, Colt Cabana & Jay Lethal V RVD, Austin Aries & Steve Corino. Which is a shame as the show was still a C. Damage is done PPV drew a 1.10 buy rate. Which is the second biggest in HVPW history.

Katsuhiko Nakajima is fully fit again after recovering from a sprained ankle. Expect to see the Japanese team feature more from now on. After the NJPW tour finished, they have made a offer to The Briscoes to go on the next tour. AJPW made a tour offer to just Jay. And All-Star Wrestling made a tour offer to Colt Cabana.

The first ever HVPW release has happened in Joey Eastman. Mainly because Pat Kenney, a.k.a Simon Diamond has been a hit as a color man. And didn't see the need for another announcer.
