Mr T Jobs To Me
Has anyone else see a fighter come out as a worldbeater, but then suffer one or two demeaning losses and suddenly become a huge can? I have this guy who debuted with better stats than Fezzik in his prime, was finishing everyone with first round armbars (from mount, like an idiot), but he left me for ALPHA-1 when he asked for an absurd amount of money and PPV revenue (back when I thought it was an actual % of the take and only gave it to dominant champions). Long story short, he got upset a couple times, and now he fights like a bitch, refusing to let his hands go (89% boxing skill, 90% power) or even attempt takedowns (99), and he loses to the most absurd cans. It's so frustrating to see such a talented fighter suck like this, and the only explanation I can come up with is that his heart really isn't in it anymore. majesty95
<p>Seems reasonable. I don't think I'd like if every fighter's career was predictable.</p><p> </p><p> I have had similar stories with Braulio Moura and Mantas Andreyev. Andreyev left me for ALPHA-1 and lost all three of his fights there and then had to move to the ISL.</p><p> </p><p> Moura came out KOing everyone in the first round, lost to a BJJ whiz (don't remember who off hand) and now struggles to beat mediocre strikers. Kind of frusterating but somewhat similar to Vitor Belfort in real life.</p>
Acidburned
I had a fighter debut and win a tournament at UFC 13 he then beat Randy Couture and went on to beat a lot of top guys to record a record of 22-1. Then Anderson Silva destroyed him and from that point on he went 8-11. Not a complete can but he lost to some real bad fighters and seemed to be unable to lock in any of the submissions that made him go 22-1.
Guest buckleyisagod
<p>I've had this happen to Yoshihiro Makamori. He was a dominant FW champ, defended 8 times & pretty much cleared out the division. He lost a decision & went on a 4 fight losing streak picking up "Fall of the Year" in the process. </p><p> </p><p> I find that champs coming off a loss need to be booked carefully to avoid a freefall. I'm assuming that guys who train in camps with a good mental stat are better at handling defeat.</p>
GP99
Frankie Edgar for me. He lost to Gray who missed weight, then lost his title to Pettis. I dropped him to Featherweight where he lost his first fight. I then gave him so total cans who he beat, so hopefully that gets him back on track. BHK1978
In my various GAMMA saves, this always seems to happen to Luke Hilton. He will tear through the Lightweight Division and then he will typically get killed by whomever the champion is (And it never matters who the champion is. Luke always loses, could be to Sean, Benny, Brandon, etc. he has lost to them all). After that he goes on a massive losing streak in one game he even lost to Aaron McBroom.<img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/eek.png.0e09df00fa222c85760b9bc1700b5405.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />
dude-1981
<p>I had a dude called Darren Southall, he kept on winning in upsets against fighters I was expecting to beat him. Then he lost to Sugar in a LW title fight and then he couldn't buy a win. One of the only (maybe the only) people in the 11 year history of GAMMA to ask to move a weightclass and he kept losing at FW as well and sunk without a trace.</p><p> </p><p> Hey, is true to life, it Leben beats Dan Hardy, that will be a 4 fight loss streak and you could say that fighting GSP ruined his career.</p>

dude-1981
Lytle Well, what I said was true, Leben would most likely beat him as he's a weight class above, but I must admit, I do get those two confused.
Nephrinn
<p>I've had this happen as well with top notch fighters like Julio Regueiro. He dominated everybody until he hit about 32 or 33 and then finally lost a fight and went on a huge losing streak against fighters he would normally kill. It was depressing. He did recover later in his career at about 37 years old and I think almost got the title back.</p><p> </p><p> That's what I like about WMMA3. All kinds of crazy **** happens. I especially like that old fighters can still be very competitive if not champions.</p>
