Harley Race vs. Billy Jack Haynes

In a bout that featured great action but not much in the way of heat, Harley Race defeated Billy Jack Haynes in 5:39 by pinfall with a Piledriver following interference from Hercules.

 

Winner: Harley Race (B)

The announcers open the show by hyping the fact that this week Paul Orndorff will make an appearance. (B)

 

Tito Santana will be here (C+)

 

The Hart Foundation will be in tag team action (C )

 

The Hart Foundation vs. Killer Bees

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, The Hart Foundation defeated The Killer Bees in 7:54 when Bret Hart pinned Brian Blair following interfearence from Danny Davis.

 

Winners: The Hart Foundation (C )

 

As the bell sounded The Hart Foundation continued to assult Brunzell and Blair . Seeing the assault, British Bulldogs come running in and fight them both off, saving Brunzell and Blair from a serious beating. (D+)

 

The Bulldogs then got on the microphone and challenge The Hart Foundation to a match for the tag team titles (D)

 

Hulk Hogan is on the screen to tell us when and where we can find him in action next locally. (B)

 

As we return to the arena Vince announces that following what has just gone down officials’ have signed the match between British Bulldogs and The Hart Foundation and the tag team titles will be on the line. (C )

 

Tito Santana vs. Sika The Wild Samoan

As the introductions for the next match are made we get insert comments from Santana where he promises to get even with Danny Davis at Wrestlemaina (C-)

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Tito Santana defeated Sika in 5:41 by pinfall.

 

Winner: Tito Santana (C-)

 

We then go to the Wrestlemaina Control centre where Mean Gene Okerlund hypes up the main event between Hulk Hogan and Andre ‘The Giant’ looking over the events leading up to this titanic confrontation (C )

 

Okerlund then turns attention to the Intercontinental championship match up between Ricky ‘The Dragon’ Steamboat and Macho Man Randy Savage going back to when Savage crushed Steamboats larynx. Okerlund also confirms that George The Animal Steele will be in Steamboats corner. (B-)

McMahon and Jesse then hype Hogan vs. Andre with Jesse claiming we will have a new world champion (B)

 

Paul Orndorff vs. Corporal Kirchner

In an extremely short match, Paul Orndorff defeated Corporal Kirchner in 4:59 by pinfall

 

Winner: Paul Orndoff

 

McMahon and Jesse then announce that next week The Can-Am Connection and Ricky Steamboat will take on Randy Savage and The Dream Team in tag team action (C )

 

We then go to comments from Steamboat who promises to give Savage a taste of what is coming his way at Wrestlemaina (B)

 

Ricky The Dragon Steamboat vs. Hercules w\ Bobby Heenan

Ricky Steamboat defeated Hercules in 7:05 by pinfall with a Flying Karate Chop.

 

Winner: Ricky Steamboat

 

Post Show Dark Match

 

Before the next match The Spectrum where treated to Nikolai Volkoff’s rendition of the Soviet national anthem untill Hacksaw Jim Duggan hit the ring interrupting Volkoff’s singing (C-)

 

The Rougeau Brothers vs. Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff

The Rougeau Brothers defeated Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff in 7:13 when Jacques Rougeau defeated Nikolai Volkoff by submission with a Boston Crab after interference from Jim Duggan.

 

Winners: The Rougeau Brothers (D)

 

Having just picked up the victory The The Rougeau Brothers and Duggan celebrated (D)
