mikemelling Posted May 31, 2011 Posted May 31, 2011 http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Logos/TRW.png It all begins again... <hr> My name is Phil Vibert; I am back in the United States. After the demise of Danger and Violence Extreme, there were two main camps. Those who wanted my head for their mantle, and those who mourned the loss of my “creative genius”. You see, those who wanted my head were those who felt the need to take a heart breaking situation and make it worse. No-one felt the loss of DaVE more than I. DaVE was my baby, my project and the only company to have come close to breaking into the dominance of TCW and SWF in the last ten years. Yet still, those who wanted to twist the knife spread rumours of financial mismanagement, pay offs, and let downs. The truth, as most who remained loyal to DaVE well know, not a single one of those rumours were true. It was correct that I felt a loyalty to Richard Eisen following a number of loans he offered during our final year, and it's also correct that I steered those leaving DaVE towards the Land of Supreme for that reason, but only when they'd made their decision to leave. Those who mourned my loss felt a temporary sense of reprieve when I announced my return to the business, only to feel scorned themselves when I chose Canadian Golden Combat as my destination. My reasoning was simple; in Canada, wrestling is god. I needed something fresh, something new. Had I walked into the doors of any promotion in the United States the first thought would have been here comes the blood. Moving to CGC offered no such luxury; the DeColt's would never allow it. This, it seemed, would be my avenue for redemption. A chance to book in such a way that traditional values and a return to wrestling's roots would provide me with an all new reputation; a reputation that has led me here. I hear you asking where exactly “here” is, and it's a very good question. Right now? I'm sat with my laptop in front of me typing out this blog entry in the departure lounge of JFK waiting to board a plane back to Canada. For those of you yet again thinking I'm planning on scorning you once more, I can promise you all that this is NOT the case. My return to Canada is temporary, I plan on picking up my clothes, my possessions, my memories, my ideas and... I'm sure I'm forgetting something... What is it? Oh... Yeah, my wife; and returning back to New York within the next week. Why, I here you ask? Well that's simple... I have a new job. More on that later... For now, lay safe in the knowledge my American fans, that sooner rather than later you will see Phil Vibert produced entertainment on your television once more. I say this now as to avoid having to say it once the shows begin; do not expect blood, weapons and hardcore action. There may be a pinch here and there, but in the end, it will all be for the best. Stay tuned...
mikemelling Posted May 31, 2011 Author Posted May 31, 2011 Press Release – Gil Thomas announces the birth of Total Revolution Wrestling. Today it has been reported that Gil Thomas, personal friend and business rival of Richard Eisen, has announced he is looking to enter the Wrestling Business. His press release came with the introduction of the logo of the new company, personal statement and shocking announcement that may change the face of the wrestling business forever. http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Logos/TRW.png “It is with immense pride that I, Gil Thomas, announce that on Wednesday January 6th 2010, Total Revolution Wrestling will be born, live on NCTV here in the United States of America and Canadian I-Broadcasting for our friends North of the Border in Canada. It is understandable that the decision to place our programming up against not ONLY United States Pro Wrestling but also North of the Border Pro Wrestling as well. I see this as a signal of intent, a signal that we here at Total Revolution Wrestling are going to “Revolutionise” this business. I am also proud to announce that joining me in this venture is one of the greatest minds that professional wrestling has ever known, I am proud to announce that the General Manager and Head of Creative Productions will be Phil Vibert. Ladies and gentlemen, wrestling fans everywhere, please join us, January 6th when we Totally Revolutionise wrestling.” It will be interesting to see just how this venture will take off; it can only mean good things for a business that has been dominated for far to long by just two companies. Gil Thomas not only has the finance to back a project like this, but he has the perfect motivation – a hatred of losing to Richard Eisen.
mikemelling Posted May 31, 2011 Author Posted May 31, 2011 My name is Phil Vibert; I am head booker of Total Revolution Wrestling. I know; I was shocked too. I have a lot to say on the matter, and I was so tempted to tell you all just a week ago when I first announced I was coming back to the United States. Rumours were abound all week, and I read them all. “Phil Vibert is coming to USPW”, “Vibert is going to change TCW forever”, “Finally Vibert in SWF!” and the one that pulled on my heartstrings most “Vibert is bringing back DaVE!”. In the end, all of you heard the truth, and the truth was that no-one had any idea where I was going and that was just what we wanted. When I say we, I do indeed mean Gil Thomas and I; we toyed with the idea of me announcing my involvement before the press release, but I felt this way “stirred the pot” just enough. So, I'm back. Let me clarify, I say head booker because I've been in this business long enough to remember when it wasn't really a business, but believe me when I say, this is being run like a business. Back when I ran DaVE, I did everything except book the shows which I left to John. I was marketing, PR, accounts, talent relations. I spent my days switching from paying checks to dealing with guys who were unhappy with how John was booking the show to calling companies to find sponsorship. Total Revolution Wrestling is a business already; whilst I know that Gil Thomas is the owner, his involvement is less than most would have thought. He's Chairman of the Board and makes the big decisions but in the end, his son in law, a man by the name of Graham Reece is the CFO whilst his daughter, Nicole, runs the day to day operations. I have a lot more power than I can mention right now, but the truth is I'm given a budget and can pretty much do what I like with it. I deal with almost everything to do with the wrestling side of the company whilst they make sure I don't “pull a DaVE” as Gil so charmingly put it. My first job has been to come up with a product which, ironically, has been a lot simpler than I thought it would be; we don't have the pull to sign the huge names that SWF and TCW can which means we have to raid the independents. Luckily, I still have some pull, but the truth is you're unlikely to find a Jack Bruce or a Tommy Cornell walking our soon to be hallowed halls. My point? We're going to have some really good wrestlers, but no-one popular enough to spend fifteen minutes talking. One day, we'll likely introduce a little more “Sports Entertainment” but for now we need to make sure our matches pull in the viewers. I see a Modern style being key to our success, but those traditional values mixed with a mainstream twist will give us the edge we need at a Medium Level to begin with, but at a later date we can bring those more into focus. We want to be exciting, so I'm happy to throw in some Luche Libre wrestling on our shows with low levels of realism, daredevil and comedy. Our shows will likely have very low levels of hardcore as to try and remain disassociated with that style. For those who may be interested, our shows will be heavily wrestling orientated at first until our characters are established. Probably between 70 and 90% wrestling on our shows with a good level of danger and intensity. We will have a women's division, in fact, my first major announcement is a working agreement with AAA. We're looking to refocus the women's side of this sport without trying to lock up all the good superstars with ourselves. Basically, they will work elsewhere, we don't want to cripple the company who we have a working agreement with. I think that's all for now; I don't want to give too much away too soon, so for now I'll leave you with this idea. Phil Vibert, sat at home with his big black book of names and numbers, and about to build a roster from scratch. Excited? It's nothing compared to how I'm feeling. <hr> Product Key - Traditional, Modern Medium - Mainstream, Lucha Libre Low - Daredevil, Realism, Comedy Very Low - Hardcore
mikemelling Posted May 31, 2011 Author Posted May 31, 2011 Press Release – TRW announce Working Agreement with AAA TRW have today announced a working agreement with Angel Athletic Association that will look to aid both companies. National Exposure for these women will help to improve the standing of AAA, whilst TRW will be able to hire a group of women that will likely know each other very will inside the ring. Managing Director of TRW, Nicole Reece, had released the following quotes. “It is with huge respect and distinctive honour that Total Revolution Wrestling has the opportunity to work side by side with Angel Athletic Association in an attempt to improve the standing of Women's Wrestling within the United States. As a women who has always respected this business, it has been a dream of mine to be involved with trying to raise the profile of women's wrestling within the sport that we all know and love. This opportunity is something we will look to cherish and we would like to thank Anne Stardust and Catherine Quine for their willingness to enter into this arrangement.” So it looks like women's wrestling is looking to get some exposure, but it will be interesting to see if TRW will REALLY look to “raise the profile” of women's wrestling, or whether these beautiful ladies will be expected to dress up for the visual entertainment of those who come to watch the shows.
mikemelling Posted May 31, 2011 Author Posted May 31, 2011 My name is Phil Vibert; all of my plans are in place. Within the next few days we'll be announcing our roster. I can't wait, it's looking great. We've made some signings that you'll know and some that you wont, we've made some signings that you'll expect and some that will shock. I'll give you this detail to begin; everyone except the females of our Women's Division are signed to long term written contracts so you wont have to worry about roster turnover. The women remain unsigned because of our agreement with AAA, but don't worry it wont hinder our attempts. I can also announce that I have been able to sign two right hand men who will help with running our shows; every show needs it's Road Agents. A man I knew very well from DaVE in Eric Tyler, and one of the most decorated names in our industry, Crippler Ray Kingman. These two men have an unbelievable mind for the business, and will help build the shows that will make the big two look over their shoulders. Whatsmore, we've had the opportunity to sign three men who will be crucial in every single match that we put on, our referees. Jez McArthur, Wilson Carlisle and Eugene Williams. The role of a referee is hugely undervalued; they help with flow, psychology and most of all the help pass messages from the ring crew to the guys in the ring. A good referee is never seen unless he's required, and this is a tool that bookers find invaluable. If fans see our time keeper telling the referee to wrap up a match and him pass on the message, the illusion is broken. Such a crucial role. Also I've managed to pull in a couple of pretty decent names as it concerns my announce team. Steve Smith, formerly of 21st Century Wrestling and Sara Silver of Babes of Sin City fame. I've also brought someone in that I hope will be able to showcase their abilities on the mic whilst learning their trade in the ring but only time will tell if the third member of the broadcast team will garner any kind of positive following. And of course we have the managers, but like the wrestlers their roles will be named when we formerly announce the roster. For now, all I can say is that I think there's something for everyone. Oh, and I'll let you know this little titbit from the get go; I will be taking the on screen role as “General Manager” of TRW; why? Because it's cheaper, because you need someone with history and because I couldn't find someone else willing to do the job. I approached one or two people but they didn't feel like they wanted to go on the road to perform that kind of role. I can understand it, one way or another it ends up with you getting fired, removed or beaten up; least after that happens I'll be able to go back to just writing our shows. One last thing, I think one of my signings was a huge mistake, but sometimes you have to take a risk in order to be successful. Only time will tell if this will come back to bite my on the ass; hopefully not, I don't want to go back to Canada; it's cold. <hr> Up next - Press Release of Roster

mikemelling Posted May 31, 2011 Author Posted May 31, 2011 My name is Phil Vibert; this is my last blog post... For now at least; the next few weeks are going to be crazy. For those of you who are wondering, I'm all moved. The last of my things arrived yesterday, my dog, a Pug called Dave, finally came to live with me and the wife. He'd been staying with a couple of friends while we moved so now we really feel like it's home. I hope everyone likes the roster; I actually enjoyed the press release because it gave out the names and profile pictures of each of the superstars, and where we consider each of them to be positioned as we begin without really telling you anything. No-one is proven to be a good guy or a bad guy, we didn't give out much information about the characters. I enjoy the fact that we can still keep you guys guessing. It's better to let the characters grow over a number of weeks without cramming it down your throats. I've got our first show almost written up and I have storyline plans in place up until around about May or so. For those of you who are wondering, we may be starting in January but our flagship show will be in May. We want to build up to a big show in May which we hope will be the start of a huge annual event. Luckily, we have a pretty good budget so we have some great production values. It's exciting working in this kind of environment because some of the things we'll be able to do will pull in some great TV. We thought long and hard about which Networks and Carriers we were going to pitch too; there were two schools of thought. Bigger networks who wanted more control and in turn more money, or smaller networks who gave us more leniency in the hope that we'll attract viewers. As you can see, we went with something that was a little bit in between. Both NCTV and Canadian I-Broadcasting as our networks and USA Free Choice and Euro Your Demand as our Pay-Per-View carriers offered us both the terms and the freedom we wanted to be as creative as we like and that is what we needed. For now I have to ask you all to be patient; soon enough, we'll have a show each and everyone you can be proud of and you'll have a real reason to tune into wrestling on a Wednesday night. <hr> TRW Total Revolution TV - Wednesday Nights - NCTV & Candian I-Broadcasting TRW Pay Per Views - Saturday Week 4 - USA Free Choice & Euro Your Demand
mikemelling Posted June 5, 2011 Author Posted June 5, 2011 News Report – Theft at the home of Gil Thomas <hr> It can be exclusively revealed that representatives of the Total Revolution Wrestling owner, Gil Thomas, have been working tirelessly to secure the New York Penthouse in which the GTI (Gil Thomas Industries) Chairman resides throughout his working week following a break in earlier today. Fortunately, Mr. Thomas was, at the time, with his family in their Hampton’s Mansion for a weekend retreat. During the break in, the thieves were startled by a returning live in maid who had been socialsing with friends until the small hours. Mr. Thomas returned earlier today to perform a full inventory and his findings were more interesting than the break-in itself. Wrestlefest.com were passed information from inside the home of Mr. Thomas that thousands of dollars worth of art, jewellery, technology and cash had been ignored, left were they lay, and whilst the perpetrators of the crime made their escape, they seemingly managed to take just five items; the new gilded TRW Championship belts. A little earlier than they would have hoped, TRW representation have been forced to reveal their championship plans as the belts were logged with local law enforcement agencies. The stolen items were a TRW branded World Heavyweight Championship, North American Championship, a pair of Tag Team Championships and a Woman’s Championship. It is sure that Mr. Thomas is insured for such items and will be fully reimbursed, but we here at Wrestefest.com feel that it is more likely that bruised egos will be the hardest to heel as a blow this early to TRW’s plans could well be the beginning of their undoing. Who knows what will follow next? <hr> UPDATE: Within the last few moments, we at wrestlefest.com can reveal that we have received an email with attached photographs of the stolen Championship belts. We have forwarded all information to the authorities, but interestingly were told that this case has already been closed as the executives of the company GTI have decided NOT to pursue a case. Seems the insurance must have paid out quite quickly and we’re free to release the information we’ve received. The email accompanying the pictures had just one simple line of text. “They are ours, and they will be ours.” http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Misc/trwwhblank.pnghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Misc/trwnablank.pnghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Misc/TRWTagTeam.pnghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Misc/trwwomblank.png It will be interesting to garner the reactions of those involved with Total Revolution Wresting over the next couple of weeks.
20LEgend Posted June 5, 2011 Posted June 5, 2011 A very interesting development Mike, you have me thoroughly intrigued
mikemelling Posted June 5, 2011 Author Posted June 5, 2011 Thanks; I'm starting to really worry that I'm getting one of "those" reputations around here and know I need to really dedicate myself to a project. If I'm being honest; I've never really found anything I've been truly comfortable with. I think sometimes I've felt that I'm writing characters that others have written before; companies like TCW, SWF and USPW all have established characteristics and, much like the guy who really inspires me on these boards, E-V, I feel like I need to build something that completely encompasses those things that I'm passionate about when it comes to pro wrestling. I plan on having this arc run as our most long term as we begin; I know where it's starting and where it's ending, the journey has room for change and those who will follow the path are likely to change as it goes along. My hope for this promotion is to use "the internet" to further it's stories; blurring the line between what's real and what's not. It's something that the WWE started to flirt with for a while but only ever touched on it, never really pushed through with. To me, we all know that the secrets of pro wrestling are never likely to be "put back in the box" but we can take it the other way and start to bring events from reality into the shows that can make things seem more realistic. Thank you so much for your support; it means a lot.
mikemelling Posted June 8, 2011 Author Posted June 8, 2011 Breaking News – Arrests Made! <hr> Wrestlefest.com understands that a number of superstars who have been announced as members of the new TRW roster have been arrested, alongside a number of superstars who have NOT not connected to TRW. This goes against the original stories that Gil Thomas had not decided to press charges. This story comes just days after Mr. Thomas was rumoured to be looking to make an announcement concerning the future of the stolen Championship belts this week. Representatives of Mr. Thomas have not been made available for comment; more will follow as more is revealed. <hr> Update: An interesting development from our earlier story; all of the superstars that were named as arrested earlier today have been released. There are conflicting stories as to the reason for the release; the one story that has been mostly substantiated is that the charges were pressed by a high level member of the TRW board and that when Gil Thomas learnt of the charges, he was said to be furious. He made a personal appearance at the station in which the superstars were being held and personally asked for the charges to be dropped. More as it comes. <hr> Update: As mentioned earlier, there have been two stories concerning as to the whys and wherefores as to what happened with the release of what has been confirmed as eight wrestlers, some who were and some who were not connected to TRW, from the custody of New York's finest. The rumour that has started to push it's nose to the forefront, is that an unknown custodian arranged to pay bail for each of the superstars, and contacted Gil Thomas convincing him not to run with the charges. The story concerning Mr. Thomas personally heading into the police station seems more to be a clever PR stunt as opposed to fact.
mikemelling Posted July 17, 2011 Author Posted July 17, 2011 <p><strong>Statement from Gil Thomas</strong></p><p> <hr></p><p> </p><p> Earlier today, majority share holder and Chairman of Total Revolution Wrestling Board, Gil Thomas, made a statement as concerns how Total Revoution wrestling will progress, with or without the Championship belts that have recently been stolen.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="31357" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>"The past week has been one of the most trying that I have encountered in all my years of business. It is not very often that you find assets of such high value stolen, nevermind when they are stolen from your own home. When I speak of the value of these Championship belts, I do not talk about just the montary worth of the belts, I talk about what they represent.<p> </p><p> To each of my new employees, these Championships represent a goal, something to aim for, something to work towards. Now? Now it is up to us to do one of two things, retrieve these Championship belts or start again, creating a new goal for our superstars to achieve. Whilst I am the owner and Chairman of TRW, I will leave this decision to the man employed to handle the wrestling side of our business. On our first episode of Total Revolution TV, Phil Vibert will address this situation and look to make right what is currently so wrong."</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> It will be interesting to see just what Phil Vibert has planned as we move forward into the future with TRW, especially with the missing championship belts and the threat put forth by those who have taken them. 20LEgend Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 I have a feeling this is one big publicity stunt, but it's entertaining regardless of outcomes, glad to see a new update in the saga, and if and when the titles are retrieved Gil has done a good job of making sure they seem important. I hope this develops into an awesome storyline or if it is "real" into some fun non-wrestling segments, like those above <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />
mikemelling Posted July 17, 2011 Author Posted July 17, 2011 <p>Thanks 20, for both your comments and sticking with me.</p><p> </p><p> I took a month or so away from the project because, if I'm being honest, I saw that E-V had started his DOA project up again.</p><p> </p><p> My concern was that due to the talent pool in North America, the rosters would seem similar, the concepts would seem similar (despite being vastly different) and that one of the two (I'm not an idiot, I was 95% sure it would be mine) would get lost in the mix for those who can only tolerate so many new start feds.</p><p> </p><p> There are indeed many differences; TRW is ran by a multi-millionaire hell bent on domination of the wrestling world, booked by a Cornelverse legend who is looking to "make up" for the mistakes he made last time around and the focus of the product is based more on a mix of technical wrestling mixed with entertainment.</p><p> </p><p> From my reading of E-V's work, which I do religiously, DOA is owned by a cult network looking to make an impact with a rebellious, upstart kind of promotion booked by a "fallen angel" who is hell bent on proving his abilities to all that watch with a fast paced, high octane wrestling style mixed with entertainment.</p><p> </p><p> Reading the two back, they couldn't be more different. But in truth, the reality is that there are some blinding similarities. Similar rosters, although mixed in a different way for the most part, both Cult promotions looking to bite and crawl their way into wrestling history, both are looking to try and create a Women's division and both are brand new outlooks on the Cornell-Verse.</p><p> </p><p> I have, however, made my peace with this and realised that first and foremost I want to scratch this itch I've had ever since I saw the logo in Kam's thread. I just felt it was too good of an idea to be left, lost in the midst of all the amazing logos within.</p><p> </p><p> Again, thank you for your comments; it's much apreciated.</p>
mikemelling Posted July 18, 2011 Author Posted July 18, 2011 Inaugural TRW Total Revolution TV Card Revealed <hr> http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Logos/Header.png Wednesday, Week One, January 2010 Live from the Total Revolution Arena New York City, New York Opening Contest http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Misc/RSM.png http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Male%20Roster/JamesPrudence.pnghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Misc/Vs.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Male%20Roster/SteveFlash.png "Precious" James Prudence w/ Jakki Vibert Vs "Mr. TRW" Steve Flash w/ Dharma Gregg Our opening contest of the evening is the first of four first round matches in the tournament to crown the first ever Total Revolution Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion. The match takes place between James Prudence, a standing in this match gained most likely by his involvement with the daughter of General Manager Phil, Jakki Vibert. The union of these two, however, meets what can only be described as a living legend, the man who, before having fought a match, is being named "Mr. TRE" Steve Flash. Why, should we ask, is he being given this moniker? Because like in every company he's ever worked for, Steve Flash is expected to put his heart, body and soul on the line not just to win, but for the fans. This match could possibly be the match that will steal the show. Match Two http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Misc/RSM.png http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Male%20Roster/Zeus.pnghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Misc/Vs.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Male%20Roster/DWN.png "The Demi-God" Zeus w/ Carl Batch Vs "The Triple Threat" DWN Little is known about the enigma that is Zeus; his representative, Carl Batch, have handed over very little information about his past, or his future intentions. On this night, the man who is being called a Demi-God, will take on a relative unknown in the "Triple Threat" DWN. The Triple Threat in question is his apparent Determination, Will to win and Natural ability; DWN. Whether or not these three attributes will be enough to beat Zeus is yet to be seen. Match Three http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Misc/TTM.png http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Male%20Roster/JayChord.pnghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Misc/Vs.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Male%20Roster/Eloni.pnghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Misc/Vs.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Male%20Roster/HotstuffHernandez.png "Big Time" Jay Chord w/ Steven Parker & Emily Edwards Vs "The Savage" Eloni w/ Tane & Carl Batch Vs "Hotstuff" Hernandez w/ Jake Jett The evolution of Total Revolution Wrestling continues with members of the three tag teams currently named in TRW taking part in a Triple Threat match in order to find out just who will be the dominant team in TRW. Jay Chord, one half of The Establishment alongside Steven Parker, looks to prove to the world that he is destined for the big time. Both members of this young, energetic team feel their futures lie in "bigger" and "better" places, and have no problem proving it. Eloni and Tane make up Samoan Destruction Inc, a team that sometimes blur the lines between wanting to be successful and wanting to hurt their opponents. Their willingness to inflict pain can lead to more ticks in the loss column, but they are rarely the team left lying in the ring. Finally, "Hotstuff" Hernandez and his partner "Jumping" Jake Jett make up "The Dudes", a somewhat laid-back and easy going due that love to have fun. That is until they step into the ring, once inside the swap laid back and easy going for high energy and action packed. This match will go a long way to prove just which team is destined for domination. Match Four http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Misc/RSM.png http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Male%20Roster/Acid.pnghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Misc/Vs.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Male%20Roster/BuddyGarner.png "The Burning" Acid Vs "The Iron Man" Buddy Garner Our second first round match will find the first appearance of "The Burning" Acid; an athlete that has an explosive and volatile personality. His explosions of anger can lead to dangerous situations for his opponents and sometimes for himself as he can often put his body on the line in order to hurt those that stand across the ring from him. His opponent on this night is former MMA star Buddy Garner. Despite his age, Garner still has the engine, drive and determination that earned him the nickname "The Iron Man"; this contest should be an interesting one with both men looking not only to establish themselves as TRW stars, but as superstars of this business. Match Five http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Misc/SPTTM.png http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Female%20Roster/EveGrunge.pnghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Female%20Roster/GraceHarper.pnghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Female%20Roster/SuzanneBrazzle.pnghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Misc/Vs.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Female%20Roster/SaraMarieYork.pnghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Female%20Roster/MichelleBrendon.pnghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Female%20Roster/VickyCorbitt.png Eve Grunge "Rocker", "The One and Only" Grace Harper & "Too Hot To Frazzle" Suzanne Brazzle Vs "Lightning Strike" Sara Marie York, "Random" Michelle Brandon & Vicky "The Power" Corbett Our bevy of beauties, the Femme Fatales of the TRW Women's division. This exhibition match is meant to showcase those who could, would and should be vying to be the first TRW Women's Champion. On one side we have the Eve Grunge "Rocker", "The One and Only" Grace Harper and "Too Hot to Frazzle" Suzanne Brazzle. On the other side, "The Lightning Strike" Sara Marie York, "Random" Michelle Brandon and Vicky "The Power" Corbett. All in all, six of our beautiful, talented group of female superstars on show in the build up to crowning our first Champ. "The Anarchist" Citizen X is a man hell bent on causing as much mayhem and anarchy as he can manage. His first goal? Win the TRW World Heavyweight Championship, second? Keep hold of that Championship in order to annoy and frustrate as many people as he can. The man looking to get in the way of that goal is "The Specialist" Reed Archer. What is his speciality? Well that's simple, his self picked tag-line is thus "I Enter, You Tap, I leave..." Will The Anarchist find himself causing mischief or tapping out when these two meet? Bryan Holmes, flanked by Emily Edwards, looks to cement his Ice Man reputation by looking to take on, take down and take out his opponent John Pathlow. Bryan Holmes is looking to finally make an impact in the United States after years of fighting in Japan, and the Ice Man is looking to make an example of his opponent. Across the ring from Holmes will stand "Hell Fire" John Pathlow, a high impact, high octane superstar who will use his inner fire to propel him to the very top of this business. The question on everyone’s lips as these two men clash in our main event is simple. What will win out, fire or ice? Will the Ice Man be melted or will the Hell Fire freeze over? Join us live this Wednesday Night, on NCTV. I-Canadian Broadcasting and for our non-domestic viewers, online at TRW.com. mikemelling Posted July 18, 2011 Author Posted July 18, 2011 I just want to start off by saying thank you once again for your support 20L. Just a quick heads up that I'm going to bed now as it's four am and despite having just watched a WWE pay-per-view that, for the first time in years, actually excited and inspired me, I feel I should sleep some for now. I tell you this as I could well post the show in anything from 8 to 24 hours, time notwithstanding. If anyone does wish to predict then now would be the time to do so. There will be a contest that will culminate at the end of the month following the Pay Per View. The prize will be a mystery prize but it will also be a worthwhile prize. Thanks to everyone reading thus far.

My name is Steve Smith and I am joined at ringside by my broadcast colleagues Sara Silver and The Swoop! Silver: Ohhhh yes! My name is Sara Silver and I am the Professional Wrestling's Sexiest Announcer; I'm here to offer my valued opinion on all the action as it happens. Swoop: Now then Sheila, I beg to differ on your claims to be the sexiest Announcer in Wrestling. No-one, and I mean no-one is sexier than The Swoop baby. Australia's greatest export since Castlemain Four X is in TRW and giving an expert's view on events. Smith: I cannot wait for the action to get underway tonight, Swoop! Are you as excited as I am? Swoop: Ohhh yeah mate! This is gunna be great! The Father of the Revolution... http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Staff/PhilVibert.png Phil Vibert Voice: Alright, alright; you've made you're point now shut your mouths. Phil Vibert sharply interrupts our announcers as he enters our scene in the midst of the ire of the fans in attendance. His face is split with a half-smile half sneer. He stands for a moment at the top of the ramp, the microphone in his left hand as he runs his fingers through his goatee. Vibert: What? You people aren't drinking my kool-ade anymore? Not itching to see just what I have planned for TRW? He pauses again sucking in the ever deepening hatred of the fans. Vibert: I told you not to get your hopes up. I told you not to expect anything you thought would be true. I'm sure all of you thought I would arrive here tonight and play to your idiotic cheers, that I would stand here waving at you like some insecure teenager begging for your love and attention. Well here's the real deal my worthless little puppets, you're here to see me, not the other way around. Once more he bathes in the glow of hatred as it soaks through his clothes into his very skin. Vibert: But be clear, just because I'm not here to provide you with a lighting rod through which you can indulge fantasies of bettering yourselves, that doesn't mean I wont make decisions you'll enjoy. I am, first and foremost, a businessman and my intentions are clear; make money. I don't care if you love me or hate me, as long as you're paying for the privilege of showing me how you feel. He fingers his goatee once more before almost immediately lifting the microphone to his lips. Vibert: Business; that's the most important part of any evening you spend with Phil Vibert, and tonight is no exception. As most of you will have heard by now, something very valuable was stolen from each of us, each of us who have come to know and become fond of Total Revolution Wrestling; our Championships. I will address those actions in a moment, but for now I will say no more than this. The Championships are no more than leather and gold, what they represent can never be taken. Therefore, whilst we look to find whoever it is that has committed this crime against us, we will still look to forge on to crown our Champions. Tonight, that begins; four first round matches will take place that will begin us on a journey to our first Pay Per View event; Cold Fusion. Vibert's smile slowly slides away from his face as the camera zooms in directly to his face, as if trying to send a direct message. Vibert: And to you, whoever you are, sending cryptic messages and idle threats, trying to break us down before we even begin, I want you to listen very carefully to what I have to say... I will find you, I will take back what is ours, and I will make you wish you'd never come into our world. Just as sure as these people will go back to their pathetic, existence ebbing out into mediocrity and worthlessness, you will wish you'd never crossed Phillip Bartholomew Vibert. The smile-come-sneer returns as Vibert turns on his heels without so much as acknowledging the fans, heading back stage and leaving ringside clear for our next match. Swoop: Bartholomew? Smith: I don't think our General Manager is in the mood for mockery, Swoop. Silver: Mmmm, I love a man who takes control... Swoop: He has a daughter the same age as you woman, have some control... Silver: Well excuse me, Mr. Swoop, don't get jealous because I don't want your "shrimp" on my "barbie". Smith: Sara! Please! Ladies and gentlemen, let's head to the ring for our opening contest between "Mr. TRW" Steve Flash, and "Precious" James Prudence. Opening Contest http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Misc/RSM.png http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Male%20Roster/JamesPrudence.pnghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Misc/Vs.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Male%20Roster/SteveFlash.png "Precious" James Prudence w/ Jakki Vibert Vs "Mr. TRW" Steve Flash w/ Dharma Gregg The opening match of the night took the indy legend that is, Steve Flash and placed him one on one with James Prudence. Prudence came to the ring with Jenna Vibert, the daughter of the General Manager of TRW. This match, the first of four in the TRW World Heavyweight Title tournament, began with immediate gamesmanship by James Prudence who took to ducking in and out of the ring trying to keep his distance from his vastly more experienced opponent. He used the ropes and the outsides of the ring to keep any momentum away from Steve Flash. A passage of play came into fruition where Prudence seemed to “use” Jenna, as a shield, only to catch flash with a quick thumb to the eye whilst the referee checked to make sure the bosses daughter was Ok. Clearly she was, because as soon as Prudence was back in control, she was back to her feet laughing and jeering. After a few minutes of control, Prudence made the mistake of going to the top rope, Flash was suddenly in control as Prudence missed a flying clothesline. The veteran continued to follow a familiar path of moves leading to what would be the finish of the match, when Jenna returned to the apron. She caught Flashes' attention, even looking to strike him with a slap; he blocked the assault and dodged an attempted attack by Prudence. Colliding with his manager, Prudence looked shocked to find Jenna on the ground outside of the ring, turning around, he swung a right arm at Flash who ducked and hit the ! He made the cover and the referee slapped the mat three times! Winner of the match by pinfall and advancing to the World Heavyweight Title Tournement Semi-Finals - “Mr TRW” Steve Flash Smith: What a performance by Steve Flash! He turned back the clock there and took on a younger James Prudence without letting Jenna influence the outcome. Swoop: Are you kidding me mate? Did you not see Prudence accidently hit his girlfriend in the face? That wouldn't distract you? You must be some hard arse, heartless type of guy if that wasn't an influence. Smith: She should never have gotten involved in the first place" Silver: As the song goes, Steve, stand by your man! Smith: You'd have done the same then, Sara? Silver: Oh god no, risk my beautiful body? Not a chance! Smith: Ladies and gentlemen, we'll be back after this commercial break http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Misc/CommericalBreak.png Match Two http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Misc/RSM.png http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Male%20Roster/Zeus.pnghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Misc/Vs.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Male%20Roster/DWN.png "The Demi-God" Zeus w/ Carl Batch Vs "The Triple Threat" DWN We return to the ring from our commercial to find DWN stood in the ring, his eyes fixed on the ramp, his mouth hung wide open as the Jive talking Carl Batch lead the bearded monster Zeus out to the ring. The large, but by no means giant, Zeus had a fixed gaze, unyielding, unwilling to bend, his black eyes staring out through his long hair, climbing into the ring, he stood, waiting, as if analysing his opponent where he stood. As the bell rang, Carl Batch's voice rang in the air, a single word that seemed to unleash the beast “KILL!”. Zeus advanced, DWN looking to begin with a cat and mouse game with a number of hit and run style moves, eventually, Zeus backed DWN into a corner and it was essentially over. Several huge power moves including a double handed chokebomb, a huge running boot and finally, whilst DWN was already out on his feet, . Zeus fixed his eyes on Batch who stood smiling as the referee counted for the three. Winner of the match by pinfall - Zeus Smith: My god... Zeus is a monstor, Swoop! A beast of a man! Who the hell will be able to stop him?! Swoop: Calm down, mate. He was impressive, I'll agree, but there's no reason to believe he's a monster. Anyone can look impressive against a much smaller man. Silver: And we all know, size matters... Smith: That being said, Carl Batch has a weapon of mass destruction in his hands Swoop, and he looks like he's in complete control. Swoop: Maybe, but the bigger they are, the harder they fall. Smith: Well ladies and gentlemen, up next... Wait, we don't have anyone coming out now... What is this?! The Worlds Hottest Couple... http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Male%20Roster/AntonioMarquez.pnghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Managers/JenniferMarquez.png Antonio & Jennifer Marquez III For the fifth time this evening, the crowd are met by unknown music, but on this occasion the origin is clearly Latino merged with regal intent. TRW's “Most Beautiful Couple” Antonio and Jennifer Marquez III make their way out, arm in arm. Antonio ignores the crowd in attendance as he strides to the ring, but Jennifer waves as if greeting her subjects. As they climb into the ring, Antonio holds the ropes open for his queen before taking the mic. He takes a moment to soak in the atmosphere, his eyes closed, breathing deep. Marquez: Ladies and gentlemen.... My loyal subjects... Welcome to the world of Antonio Marquez III... He smiles and opens his eyes; to his side, Jennifer begins to applaud. Marquez: You should all be upstanding, honoured as you are to be in the presence of Royalty. Myself and my Queen, Jennifer, have considered you people worthy of an audience with the last in the line of Mexican Nobility. You have been chosen to receive this honour, and that, my little friends, is worth more than anything you own. This night, the most important of your lives, will live on in the history of your families, as your generations grow and mutate like plague ridden rats, they will talk about the moment you, their ancestors were in the presence of Antonio and Jennifer Marquez... He stands for a moment, his arms stretched wide, his head tilted back once more basking in the distain. Marquez: I know you don't see it now, for those who are remembered in history are rarely revered in their own time. I understand, and I forgive you all; why? Because your stories are what will create and sustain my legacy through the ages. Antonio Marquez, the last of Mexican Nobility, the final great Latino Monarch. Those of you who wish to follow me, may do so, and you may share in my accomplishments, and those of you who don't will have the chance to realise your mistakes and I will forgive you all. He turns to his wife and leans forward, slowly and gently pressing his lips against hers, a tender kiss. Marquez: Tonight begins a new era; not an era belonging to Total Revolution Wrestling, but an era that will belong to Antonio Marquez III! As Marquez speaks, he's cut off by the sound of more unknown music. The crowd recognise the face, or at least they think they do as it seems familiar. The unknown man strides down the ramp looking a strange mix of amused and angry, he rolls into the ring and walks past Marquez with a sharp shoulder bump. He grips a mic and turns back to the Latino Monarch. A rebel without a cause... http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Male%20Roster/MattyKeith.png Matty Keith Voice: For those who don't know me, you will know my name, and when you hear it you will know that I mean business. You know the name of my father, and in turn you know that I am willing and able to do anything I need to do, no matter who it pisses off... My name is Matty Keith, and for the record, I do not like you Marquez. Keith stops and fires of his fathers signature sneer. Keith: I was in the back, taking a look at the call sheet for tonight, just checking whether not I had a match and, fortunately for every other superstar, I wasn't booked. You know what else I noticed while I was checking out that call sheet? I noticed that you'd took it upon yourself to walk out here and introduce yourself. I found myself thinking “Matty, you've got nothing to do tonight, and there's a punk in the ring trying to make himself seem important.” And you know what? It was at that moment I realised that I REALLY do not like you Marquez. He steps forward, almost face to face with Antonio who, quite valiantly grabs his wife by the arm and pushes her back slightly beside him. Keith: So, I had to make a decision, did I wait in the back and take you out when you walked through that curtain or did I come out here and say hello in person? When I heard these people boo and jeer, when I heard these people almost begging for someone to come out here and shut you up, they made my decision for me. They made me realise that if anyone was going to come out here and stop you talking that it may as well be me... So how about this? How about instead of all those impressive yet unsubstantial words pouring out of your mouth, how about we hear your tortured screams? And I will make sure it's agony... Why? Because I REALLY, REALLY do not like you Marquez... Keith steps back, but only enough to launch an attack, but as he does, Marquez quickly drags Jennifer back into view and pushes her into Keith. Keith stops himself from striking out as Marquez bails out of the ring. Keith pushes Jennifer back and advances towards where Marquez stands outside. Without reason or provocation, Jennifer slaps Keith in the back of the head. Keith turns round and the crowd goes wild as he slowly advances on her as she backs up towards the other side of the ring looking terrified; the look doesn't last as she strikes out with a huge slap. The force causes Keith to turn around only to find himself on the receiving end of The Aristocracy from Antonio Marquez. Marquez stands for a moment, his arms out, his head arched back and his eyes closed breathing in the reaction before slowly leaving the ring. He begins to head back up the ramp... Voice: Congratulations... The Father of the Revolution http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Staff/PhilVibert.png Phil Vibert The voice of Phil Vibert fills the arena once more as he makes his way out to the arena. Vibert: I like a man who can think on his feet; you took your enemy out in a way that only few would have thought of; therefore, I give you a reward! But of course you know about the pleasure-pain continuum? The pleasure of your prize; that being you having the opportunity to pick your match stipulation for Cold Fusion, is juxtaposed with the pain of knowing that your opponent at our first Pay Per View... Will be Matty Keith! The distraction of Vibert has given Keith the opportunity to recover! Without any warning, Keith leg scissors the arm of Marquez and locks in a variation of the Proton Lock made famous by his father... ! Marquez taps frantically, before Vibert's semi-grin fades seemingly starting to worry that his Pay Per View match may be lost. He signals with a flick of his hand for security who flood the arena and drag the two men apart. Vibert turns and nods as he leaves the arena being followed by the security pulling Keith into the back and lifting Marquez back to his feet in a chorus of boos. Smith: Phil Vibert showing his authority to book our first Pay-Per-View match, live at TRW Cold Fusion! Swoop: That should be a great match right there, I mean these two clearly can't stomach each other... That makes for a fight in my book. Silver: I hope Matty gets the win... Smith: Really? That is a surprise... Silver: Not at all, Antonio is taken... If he was single I'd be at his side faster than you could say "The Aristocrat" Antonio Marquez the Third. Swoop: That's a mouthful right there... Silver: I'm sure he is... Smith: Anyway! Let's head to ringside, for a triple threat match! Match Three http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Misc/TTM.png http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Male%20Roster/JayChord.pnghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Misc/Vs.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Male%20Roster/Eloni.pnghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Misc/Vs.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Male%20Roster/HotstuffHernandez.png "Big Time" Jay Chord w/ Steven Parker & Emily Edwards Vs "The Savage" Eloni w/ Tane & Carl Batch Vs "Hotstuff" Hernandez w/ Jake Jett Our next match took place between members of the three most recognisable tag teams in TRW. Representing Samoan Destruction Inc. Eloni, for The Dudes, Hotstuff Hernandez and “Big Time” Jay Chord for the team of Chord and Parker. The match began with the eloquent Chord managing to convince Eloni that they should work together to eliminate Hernandez. The big Samoan went along with the plan, for the opening portion of the contest. Chord and Eloni took turns in beating down one half of the Dude's and between them they did a good job of keeping their opponent from mounting any offence. The split in this temporary arrangement came when Chord looked to pin Hernandez. Eloni looked angry, and sensing an impending explosion, Chord left the ring, the chase was on giving Hernandez a chance to get back to his feet and, as Chord slid back into the ring he hand no-where to go! Another alliance was formed as Hernandez and Eloni took turns in beating on the big mouthed Chord. A surprising double team move seemingly ended the match as a contest for Chord as Eloni hit a huge spine buster followed by a spring board leg drop from Hernandez. As Chord was pushed from the ring, Eloni and Hotstuff took the match between them, both looking to end this match quickly with a number of counters and reverse counters took the two closer to ending the match. After a few minutes of back and forth action, the big Samoan got the break managing to reverse a hurricanrana into the huge Bulldozer Bomb. As he moved to make the cover, the crowds turned to boos as Steven Parker jumped on the apron. Eloni's savage instincts took over as he left the ring to chase off Parker away. Hernandez slowly climbed to his feet turning on the spot to feel a boot to the gut from Jay Chord. Doubled over, Chord under hooked both of Hotstuff's arms and jumped hitting ! He climbed into the pin, as Eloni looked to spring back too ring, but too late as the referee counted the three. Winner of the match by pinfall - “Big Time” Jay Chord Swoop: That's it mate! Take the advantage and take the win! Gotta respect that! Smith: Oh come on! The Establishment clearly cheated their way to victory! Swoop: That's right! Do what Chord's do best, win at any cost! Silver: That win put's Jay Chord at the top of the list! Smith: What list? Silver: The list of who get's to take me home tonight... Mm mmmmm! Smith: Give me a break! Ladies and gents, don't go anywhere, we'll be back after some messages from our sponsors. http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Misc/CommericalBreak.png Match Four http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Misc/RSM.png http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Male%20Roster/Acid.pnghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Misc/Vs.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Male%20Roster/BuddyGarner.png "The Burning" Acid Vs "The Iron Man" Buddy Garner The Carl Batch, backed Acid took to the ring with all the confidence of a trained assassin before his match with Buddy Garner, alas his confidence had no effect on his opponent. Buddy Garner, making his much maligned return to the ring following an over twelve month hiatus. Garner had clearly kept himself busy as he looked as good as ever, and following a long rest took the match to a highly surprised Acid early on. As early as three minutes into their contest he had attempted four different submission holds each of which had been avoided by his masked opponent. Taking to the outside, Acid gained some advice from his manager, and quickly returned to the ring, and as Garner looked to lock in a grapevine, Acid used his speed and agility to hit an enzaguri, and the match turned on his head. For a long period of the match, Acid's speed was a consistent problem for Garner as he tried to make his way back into the contest. It was only now that Garner's rust seemed to be showing as his reversals and counters seemed a step behind those of Acid whose momentum continued to grow. All seemed to be over as Acid stalked his opponent, Garner slowly rose and Acid struck... But the Acid Rain Drop was reversed! The arm pulled through, Garner dropped to his back and locked his legs... The Garner Choke Hold was locked in! As the crowd went wild, the referee checked Acid's reaction but Batch was on the apron! As the referee admonished him, Acid began to tap furiously! Garner released the hold, jumped to his feet and locked his eyes on Batch... The Jive talking suddenly stopped as he dropped off the apron. Acid rolls to the outside as Garner follows Batch and begins to chase him around the ring. Suddenly, as if from no-where, Acid lept from a fallen position and dropped Garner on the outside with ! Acid rolled back into the ring on the count of seven and lay on the mat as the referee continued to count before calling for the bell. Winner of the match by Count Out and advancing to the World Heavyweight Title Tournament Semi-Finals - Acid Smith: Come on Ref! Swoop: Typical brit blaming the ref! Smith: You cannot be serious!? Carl Batch clearly cost Buddy Garner that match! Silver: That's what he's there for... To assist his client in any way possible. Smith: Within reason... You can't... It's not... Oh forget it! We're being told that there's some kind of disturbance going on backstage... Unknowing Enemies... http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Male%20Roster/Machine.pnghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Male%20Roster/MikeyJames.png Machine & Mikey James As we head backstage we find a camera thundering along a corridor towards what seems to be a gathering crowd around a number of voices shouting. A mix of cheering and admonishment comes from the group of workers and officials of TRW. The scene, we find, as we come closer is that of Insane Machine putting the boots to a fallen Mikey James. James is trying to get to his feet as Machine slams a boot into his ribs once more. Machine backs away for a moment, out of shot as we zoom in on James coughing and spluttering trying to get his breath. There is a sharp intake from those in attendance as Machine renters the scene brandishing a lead pipe. Man: Woah! Woah! Woah! Machine! Back off you can't use that! The staffer ducks suddenly as Machine swings at him. Machine backs up the crowd, looking like he is ready and willing to strike anyone who gets in his way. He turns back to James who is now up to his knees; he raises the pipe only to find it pulled out of his hand, he turns and locks eyes with Ray Kingman who, in his grizzled voice, shouts down Machine. The Wiley Veteran... http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Staff/RayKingman.png Ray Kingman Kingman: I don't know what the hell started this crap but it ends now, Machine, you're not crippling this man tonight, not on my watch. Machine looks to square up to the legend that is Kingman, but seems to remember James. He turns to find his foe step up onto a nearby equipment storage case, and spring off the wall with a spinning kick that catches Machine in the shoulder. He staggers backwards as James fires off one, two, three kicks to Machine's thighs before the group swarms. They come between the two men, and Machine takes the moment to turn and walk away. Kingman: What the hell happened here?! Kingman asks James who is no longer being held back. James: No idea; I just walked past the guy and he slammed his fist on that case. I asked if he was alright and he just went... Kingman: Insane? James half smiles, half catches his breath before nodding. Kingman looks past the camera, the lead pipe leant against his shoulder. Kingman: Damn hoodlum kids... We head back to ringside, as the legend shakes his head in disapproval. Smith: That was strange; a seemingly random attack. Swoop: You need to realise Smitty, nothing is random in this game. It may not have been planned, but it definitely wasn't random. Smith: That maybe so, but it still begs the question why? Silver: Why is a little too vague, the real question is why James, and why then? Swoop/Smith: ... Silver: What? I can focus every now and again... Smith: Um... Ok... Well shall we head back to ringside for our next contest? Match Five http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Misc/SPTTM.png http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Female%20Roster/EveGrunge.pnghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Female%20Roster/GraceHarper.pnghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Female%20Roster/SuzanneBrazzle.pnghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Misc/Vs.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Female%20Roster/SaraMarieYork.pnghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Female%20Roster/MichelleBrendon.pnghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Female%20Roster/VickyCorbitt.png Eve Grunge "Rocker", "The One and Only" Grace Harper & "Too Hot To Frazzle" Suzanne Brazzle Vs "Lightning Strike" Sara Marie York, "Random" Michelle Brandon & Vicky "The Power" Corbett This six person tag mach was booked with the intention to showcase the Femme Fetales of Total Revolution Wrestling. These women are some of the best female wrestlers in the world, and this match went a long way to prove that. The match began “Too Hot to Frazzle” Suzanne Brazzle facing off with Random “Michelle” Brandon; their very similar styles seemed to mesh into a number of hold and counter hold styles before Brazzle tagged in Eve Grunge “Rocker”. After a few minutes of likewise back and forth, Brandon tagged in “Lightning Strike” Sara Marie York whose speed and agility changed the match up quickly! A number of high speed moves had Eve tagging out to the veteran in the match, “The One and Only” Grace Harper. Quickly, Harper used her knowledge of the ring to ground her quicker opponent, slowing everything down and keeping control, a few minutes later, York was exchanged for Vicky “The Power” Corbitt! Corbitt loved the slow pace, and her power won out as she hit The Vicious Vibe and looked to make the cover. At this point, all hell broke loose with all six women in the ring at once. The referee struggled to keep control, after a few minutes of back and forth, the four illegal women cleared the ring to the outside, but kept the eyes of Jez McArthur away from the legal pair. Once more, Corbitt looked to hit the Vicious Vibe but is cut off by the flailing arms of Harper scratching at her opponent’s eyes. The blinded Corbitt swings wildly before Harper found the gap she needed, and with a boot to the stomach, she hit the before rolling into the pin for the victory. Winners of the match by pinfall – Grace Harper, Eve Grunge & Suzanne Brazzle Smith: The Femme Fatale's looking very impressive tonight with more to debut over the coming weeks! Swoop: Sexy and talented; finally! I didn't think we'd find that in any of the women here so far. Silver: Hey shut up you pr... Smith: ... ETTY impressive stuff I'm sure you'll all agree... Ladies and gentlemen, right now we're heading backstage where Emily Edwards and Bryan Holmes are heading to the ring. The Establishment... http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Managers/EmilyEdwards.pnghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Male%20Roster/BryanHolmes.png Emily Edwards & Bryan Holmes We head backstage to find Emily Edwards storming through the backstage area followed by Bryan Holmes. The two stop as they reach the camera; Edwards grins with one side of her mouth as she turns to address the masses. Edwards: The first time I ever walked into a wrestling arena, I was thirteen years old. I watched beautiful women on the arms of men who would walk and talk. Valet's they were called, silent, nothing more than a visual aid to add to the mystique and grandeur of the man they were with. I watched these women and I just couldn't help but think “you could be so much more.” She turns slightly, looking up at Holmes who is silent, staring emotionless into the distance. Edwards: From that moment I had a dream, a dream to be the manager of all the most powerful and successful wrestlers in this business. I had a dream that I would have clients of such skill and ability that they would be able to do my bidding without so much as a twisted word. This is the genesis of that dream, the beginning of something that can and will be about so much more than money and power. This is about a little girls dream coming true. She turns back to the camera, her eyes focused and determined. Edwards: The first building block of my new empire, my new Establishment, is stood behind me. A man who has been a champion in both the United States and Japan, a man who will do whatever it takes, whenever it takes to win. At all costs, Bryan Holmes will be victorious, for himself, for me, for his brothers in arms... And for our Establishment. She smiles once more before trailing a hand down Holmes arm. Edwards: Let's go; you've got a match to win. The pair walk past the camera which turns to watch them walk away. Smith: Edwards seemed confident, Holmes seemed intense. That's a pretty potent combination. Swoop: Very much; I can't wait to see how our Main Event turns out tonight. Silver: Did Emily Edwards look hot to anyone else? Swoop: Darlin', you just started to look a whole lot more attractive... Smith: Up next we have our next first round match, let's head to ringside. Match Six http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Misc/RSM.png http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Male%20Roster/CitizenX.pnghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Misc/Vs.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Male%20Roster/ReedArcher.png "The Anarchist" Citizen X Vs "The Specialist" Reed Archer Our semi Main Event of the evening was the third First Round match in our TRW World Championship tournament between Reed Archer and “The Anarchist” Citizen X. A clash of styles between the high flying X and the technical Archer was one to watch. The two men squared off for the first time in their respective careers, for an opportunity to fight for the TRW World Heavyweight Title. Archer took control of the match early on, his technical ability taking over as he tied The Anarchist up in every way he could think of with X using his speed to escape hold after hold. The frustration continued to build as Citizen X seemed intent on walking out on his match after just two or three minutes as he began to walk up the ramp. Archer followed, but clearly had been lured into a trap, getting dropped with spin kick half way to the back. X sprinted to the ring, as Archer slowly began to pull himself towards the ring. The referee counted, his eyes focused on Reed who reaches the ringside at 7, at 8 he's half way to his feet, at 9 he's holding the bottom rope, and at 10? He's back in the ring, X immediately took control with a number of speed-based manoeuvres that kept Reed down. A springboard drop kick picked up a two count for X, followed by a top rope cross body that also came close. X stepped back, waiting for Reed to get to his knees, began the sprint and swing with his knee to hit ! Reed ducked, X turned on the spot to find himself taken down and locked up in the ! The referee asked X if he quit, The Anarchist refused, reaching for the ropes and as he gets within inches, Archer rolled away, keeping the hold locked in tight, now in the centre of the ring. The crowd go wild as X begins to tap. Winner of the match by Submission and advancing to the World Heavyweight Title Tournament Semi-Finals – Reed Archer Smith: A very strong performance by both men, but Reed Archer just had too much for his opponent. Silver: Citizen X tapped out real quick, I'm not sure that bodes well for him joining me this evening... Swoop: Either which way, I was very impressed by both men tonight... X was unlucky and will have his day eventually. Smith: I think you may be right Swoop... But for now, we'll head to our final commercial break before tonight’s Main Event. http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Misc/CommericalBreak.png Main Event http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Misc/RSM.png http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Male%20Roster/BryanHolmes.pnghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Misc/Vs.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Male%20Roster/JohnPathlow.png "The Ice Man" Bryan Holmes w/ Emily Edwards Vs "Hell Fire" John Pathlow Our Main Event of the evening would find us with the forth and final competitor to move on in our World Heavyweight Championship tournament. “The Iceman” Bryan Holmes, going one on one with “Hell Fire” John Pathlow. Holmes, an accomplished technical wrestler, had made his name in American Wrestling during his time with the Hardcore style of DaVE. Pathlow, on the other hand, was known for his all-round skills, but mostly his high-flying, hardcore skills, and had made his face known as the masked Hell Monkey during a run with USPW. Their relative juxtaposition of styles within the companies they had fought seemed to find neither man able to find a niche within the American Pro Wrestling markets since. Now, they find themselves in the Main Event of the first edition of TRW Total Revolution TV. The match began at a fast paced action with both men looking to prove domination with a display of brawling neither had likely expected from the other. Rights and lefts swung wildly inside and out of the ring had the fans pumped, both men looking to hit stiff shots. Holmes more traditional fists against Pathlow's more cultured feet saw both men take some hard and almost destructive shots. The clash came to a head when they hit a double clothesline. As both men looked to recover, the fans chanted for more, and Pathlow was keen to oblige, Holmes, quickly change tact and caught a kick to the gut before drilling Pathlow with a leg-grip DDT. Pathlow called out in pain as his knee jarred hard. Holmes worked on the knee for several minutes, allowing himself to regain composure along with his breath, the fans chanted for Pathlow, chanted for him to fight back, and after several minutes of working on the knee, Pathlow hit back with an enzaguri out of nowhere. The crowd go wild, Hell Fire took it up a gear, one leg or not, kicks, springboards and headscissors had Holmes rocking. Holmes staggered to his feet, turned around and with his one good leg, Pathlow hit the ! The crowd go nuts as Pathlow dropped onto Holmes but found no count from the referee. He looked around to find Emily Edwards on the apron distracting the referee. Pathlow climbed to his feet and began to argue with Edwards on the apron. Holmes climbed to his feet, ran towards Pathlow who moves and connects with Edwards who falls from the apron. Pathlow pushed Holmes into the ropes, and pins with a roll-up! Once more the referee is distracted checking on Edwards as Holmes rolls through the pin and springs to his feet, like-wise, Pathlow springs to his feet to find a brass knuckle covered right hand to the Jaw. Holmes drops onto Pathlow as Edwards, from the ground, shouts at the referee to count. He slaps the mat three times and Bryan Holmes is the victor. Winner of the match by pinfall and advancing to the World Heavyweight Title Tournament Semi-Finals – Bryan Holmes Smith: And there we have it ladies and gentlemen... Our Final Four! Acid, Bryan Holmes, Reed Archer and Steve Flash. These next few weeks leading into Cold Fusion should be most intriguing! Swoop: And next week should be just as intriguing... The fallout from tonight’s events. Silver: Tonight has been so much fun; I can't wait to find out what happens next week! Smith: Thank you for joining us tonight ladies and gentlemen, please tune in again same time next week! http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Logos/TRW.png
mikemelling Posted July 25, 2011 Author Posted July 25, 2011 http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Logos/Wrestlefestbanner2.png The Rockferry Report By Brian Rockferry Welcome everyone to the first edition of my Wrestlefest Column, The Rockferry Report. Before we begin, I want you to hear a little about me. Why? Because I think it's important for you to understand why I'm here and why I do this. I'm a 34 year old journalist; that's right, I do this for a living. I get paid for this... On a scale of 1 to 10, just how jealous are you right now? I'll tell you how jealous... As jealous as a one bedroom apartment enhabited by a man eating baked beans three meals a week. That's right... But in all seriouslness, I do this because I love it, and I get to watch wrestling. So the next question to address is why TRW? Is it because it's Vibert, because it's new? Because it's different? Well the truth is that it's all of the above. Firstly, I've been a fan of Vibert since the day he got involved with DaVE, he was smart, he was willing to do almost anything to make an impact and I can see that he's intending to do that all over again. Secondly, I'm intrigued with new products, new beginnings and new characters. Finally, it is indeed it's new. Something new has been needed since the closure of Danger and Violence Extreme; something that we hoped USPW would become, something that we hoped that anything would become but never did. We need a real challanger to the big two, and we need it soon. That brings me to TRW; TRW Total Revolution TV in particular. A new beginning for the company and I'm planning on reviewing the show for you here tonight. Each score will be out of 100, I will score each segment individually and then will calculate a final score. Heavy waiting will be towards the Main and Semi-Main events as they're the "money-makers" so to speak. Anyway... On we go! Live from The Total Revolution Arena in New York City... Welcome to the Rockferry Report! Opening Segment Phil Vibert Addresses the TRW Fans Summary Phil Vibert announces a tournement for the Vacant World Heavyweight Championship and addresses the stolen Championship belts and those who stole them Verdict Honestly? I marked out for Phil Vibert and the rest kind've followed. I think TRW have done a good job of making the Championships seem important and I think Vibert did the same. Score http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/44.jpg Conclusion I know that seems harsh, but it felt a little forced. Vibert is Ok on the mic, but using himself as a centrepiece was probably a poor decision for TRW. He needs interaction to be successful, and he can't live on the fact that he was a name in the past. Opening Match James Prudence Vs Steve Flash Summary Steve Flash defeated James Prudence in the first match in the TRW World Title Tournament. Verdict A very good way to start off TRW, a good back and forth match with the Veteran Flash going over the young James Prudence Score http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/62.jpg Conclusion Five years ago this match would have been a 70, 8 years ago, probably 75. Steve Flash is one of the greatest performers never to work on the Global stage. Ironic, because he doesn't stand up as a particularly gifted worker in any style, he just knows how to tell a story. Match Two Zeus Vs DWN Summary Zeus squashed DWN in little under four minutes. Verdict Not much to say here. Did a good job in establishing Zeus as a monster. Score http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/42.jpg Conclusion Lazy booking, in my mind. I know putting over Zeus as a monster is a big thing, he needs to be established. But I can't honestly say this did him much favour. DWN is much smaller and not established in the US. As such, Zeus may as well have squashed a hometown hero, in fact that would probably have done him more good. Second Segment Introducting Antonio Marquez and Matty Keith Summary The former Champagne Lover introduces himself as Mexican Aristocracy; and Matty Keith introduces himself as some kind of Rebel. Verdict I don't know; I feel like the Mexican Aristocracy has been done before. The relationship with Jennifer (Heat) Marquez could be interesting, and I'm definately interested in where it's going with Matty Keith who seems to be playing some kind of rebel. Score http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/56.jpg Conclusion It was well built, it was well portrayed, I'm not sure whether Vibert is playing a role as a face or a hell or whether he's playing Devil's Advocate, which I think could be an interesting role. Doing whatever he needs to in order to make the show a success. Jennifer played the role as the human shield well... But that's it. She's supposed to make Antonio Marquez look good, and she indeed do that. Match Three Jay Chord Vs Eloni Vs Hotstuff Hernandez Summary Jay Chord defeated a member of two of the other teams in TRW with the Vocal Chord. Verdict It wasn't good, it wasn't bad. Performances were good but we don't know much about the characters yet. Score http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/50.jpg Conclusion No-one underperformed, no-one over performed. It was alright, good enough and a better story told than the Zeus squash. Match Four Acid Vs Buddy Garner Summary Acid defeated Buddy Garner with the Acid Rain Drop following a distraction from Carl Batch Verdict Best match of the night so far, yet again show casing our better workers on the card. Despite his age and his lack of activity over the last few years, Buddy Garner looked as dangerous as ever and Acid told a real story in this match. Score http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/68.jpg Conclusion My score was based on what it gave us; it's going to be hard without any build-up to score higher than than the mid-60's. Still, this was a good idea of what we're going to see over the next few months. Segment Three Machine and Mikey James Brawl, broken up by Ray Kingman Summary A random brawl between Machine and James broken up by Ray Kingman. Verdict I don't know, it seemed maybe a little forced? Like "Ok, we need a reason to make these guys fight". Plus, what exactly did Ray Kingman offer other than a cheap Scooby Doo reference. Score http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/42.jpg Conclusion The performances were good, despite the somewhat disjointed reasoning. Maybe it's meant to put over that "Machine" is "Insane". I still can't work out why Kingman was involved but I have to admit I marked a little for the Scooby Doo style reference. Match Five Eve Grunge, Grace Harper and Suzanne Brazzle Vs Michelle Brandon, Sara Marie York and Vicky Corbett Summary Grace Harper defeated Vicky Corbett with the Fall From Grace. Verdict This was meant to be a showcase of some of the talent in the Femme Fatale division of TRW; it did just that. It was a very good match, especially considering all of those involved. Score http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/55.jpg Conclusion As you can see, I marked this higher than the Triple Threat match and that's saying something. All of these girls will improve, all of these girls will tell a story. It's ironic that these ladies are on PPA deals because they could be stolen at any time. Segment Four Emily Edwards hypes Bryan Holmes Summary As the name suggests... Verdict "Queen" Emily Edwards is great on the mic and it really showed here. Bryan Holmes is possibly the least charasmatic man on the roster, that's before we mention he's a Main Eventer as shown later on. Double E (by name not by physicality) did her job really well here. Score http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/46.jpg Conclusion Yes, I know my score doesn't reflect that... Guess what? It's content, not performance based. The "script" put Emily over more than Bryan. He was an afterthought; don't get me wrong it's not a problem. It's easier to get over when you're main eventing the show, I just think Holmes should have been taken out all together. Match Six Citizen X Vs Reed Archer Summary Reed Archer defeated Citizen X with the Dreadlock. Verdict I'll conceed I was shocked at how good this match was. "Art" Reed Archer ran the match from start to finish, I can't deny it, but Citizen X held his own and locked for the longest time like he was going to get the victory, sadly that was not the case. Score http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/71.jpg Conclusion Another contender for match of the night; Citizen X proved he could well become a huge star in the future. He showed character, skill and ability. Reed Archer seems to be going for some kind of Submission Assassin kind've gimmick which really could work, no talking all action. I like what I saw. Main Event Match Bryan Holmes Vs John Pathlow Summary Bryan Holmes defeated John Pathlow with brass knuckles Verdict Almost speechless; honestly, it sounds ridiculous considering it was hardly an "all time great", but I couldn't believe this was a Main Event of a brand new television show. Bryan Holmes is one hell of a talent and John "Hell Monkey" Pathlow has something special. Score http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/78.jpg Conclusion Match of the night by a long way, but what it proved to me was that TRW has the potential to be a great Wrestling Company. I'm not sure on whether it will be a great entertainment company, four angles is a small amount, but prehaps a mix of unknown talent and uncharasmatic top end workers could be the problem. Maybe as we progress that could change. Final Thoughts I have to make sure I mention Steve Smith, Sara Silver and The Swoop. These three took a good show and made it very good. I wasn't sure how well a brit would go down on American TV, I was worried he would have some wierd accent and get fired because we can't understand him, but he was articulate and played the role of the straight laced play by play man well. He has fantastic chemistry with Sara Silver at the booth who plays, essentially, her BSC character as it was. The Swoop offered a "wrestlers" view on events and is hugely charasmatic. I would suggest he'll be out of the booth and in the ring soon enough. As for the show, it was a great first attempt. It ran head to head with USPW American Wrestling and this by far was the better show. Unfortunately USPW has an established following and stealing those viewers away may be difficult. That said it was a good first attempt and I will definately tune in next week. mikemelling Posted July 25, 2011 Author Posted July 25, 2011 http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Logos/Wrestlefestbanner2.png <hr> Insurance Claim NOT filed? <hr> We have recieved reports that TRW have not placed a claim for the stolen Championship belts. This, in itself, is interesting as we have been informed that there was no expense spared when it came to purchasing these Championships. <hr> Update <hr> We here at Wrestlefest have just recieved a response from the New York Police Department as concerns the emails recieved following the theft of the TRW Championships. The response from the NYPD has been as follows. "We would like to thank you for forwarding the emails that your website received as concerns the break in at the home of Mr. Gil Thomas and the theft of a number of high value peices. Whilst we appreciate the information you provided us with, we must make it clear that this evidence is not valid as we do not have a case to follow. Any further documenation received by your website should be forwarded on to Mr. Thomas or those in his employment within Total Revolution Wrestling. This is yet another interesting twist in the very early life of Total Revolution Wrestling.
mikemelling Posted July 26, 2011 Author Posted July 26, 2011 Lastest TRW Total Revolution TV Card Revealed <hr> http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Logos/Header.png Wednesday, Week Two, January 2010 Live from the Total Revolution Arena New York City, New York Opening Contest http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Misc/RSM.png http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Male%20Roster/BryanHolmes.pnghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Misc/Vs.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Male%20Roster/SteveFlash.png "The Ice Man" Bryan Holmes w/ Emily Edwards Vs "Mr. TRW" Steve Flash w/ Dharma Gregg Following their respective victories last week, Steve Flash and Bryan Holmes open our evening with the first Semi-Final match of the evening. Last week, Steve Flash defeated the young and up and coming James Prudence in a fantastic contest that set Total Revolution Wrestling off with a bang. The so-called "Living Legend" looks to take this run onto the next level. On the opposite side of the ring stands the Iceman, willing and able to do whatever it takes, good or bad in an attempt to be victorious. This was proven last week when he defeated John Pathlow with use of Brass Knuckles. Who will advance to Cold Fusion to fight for the TRW World Heavyweight Championship. Match Two http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Misc/RSM.png http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Male%20Roster/Zeus.pnghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Misc/Vs.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Male%20Roster/JosephBeauchamp.png "The Demi-God" Zeus w/ Carl Batch Vs "Gentleman" Joseph Beauchamp Last week we saw Zeus dominate the exciting prospect DWM, and this week he takes on Joseph Beauchamp. There are better ways to make your debut, than by facing an angry monster, but this is the fate that awaits the Gentleman. The young brit has an opportunity to really make a name for himself, either by defeating the Demi-God or by finding himself another high profile victim. Zeus, seemingly controlled by Carl Batch, looks to continue on his path of distruction. Just who will be victorious? Match Three http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Misc/TTM.png http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Male%20Roster/SteveParker.pnghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Misc/Vs.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Male%20Roster/Tane.pnghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Misc/Vs.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Male%20Roster/JakeJett.png "Superstar" Steven Parker w/ Jay Chord & Emily Edwards Vs "The Tribal Warrior" Tane w/ Eloni & Carl Batch Vs "Jumping" Jake Jett w/ Hotstuff Hernandez Last week saw the other halves of these tag teams face one another and Jay Chord picked up a big victory. This week, it's the turn of his partner Steven Parker to try and keep The Establishment run going. These two young men seem "destined" to be big league stars, and have no problems with telling the world. On the opposite side of the ring, stands the Tribal Warrior. Tane, one half of Samoan Distruction Inc., this week takes to the forefront of the match with his partner standing by. It will be interesting to see whether or not he can have the same impact his partner had last week. Finally, we have one half of The Dude's. "Jumping" Jake Jett, the octane fuelled phenomonom will try and be victorious where "Hotstuff" Hernandez failed last week. Match Four http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Misc/RTTM.png http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Male%20Roster/JamesPrudence.pnghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Male%20Roster/CitizenX.pnghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Misc/Vs.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Male%20Roster/BuddyGarner.pnghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Male%20Roster/JohnPathlow.png "Precious" James Prudence w/ Jakki Vibert & "The Anarchist" Citizen X Vs "The Iron Man" Buddy Garner & "Hell Fire" John Pathlow Last week's losing first round competitors meet in tag team action in order to try and pull back some pride following difficult defeats. James Prudence, the man who is romantically involved with the daughter of TRW General Manager, Phil Vibert, looks to bounce back following a loss to "Mr. TRW" himself. Citizen X, on the other hand, looks set to try and create anarchy, following what he would call a "unfair" loss against Reed Archer last week. Just why he would call it that, only X would know. On the opposite side of the ring, a superstad who was hard done to, John Pathlow, teams up with another man who could well claim his loss was somewhat tainted in Buddy Garner. Just how will this match come off, and where will it leave us moving forward? Match Five http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Misc/RSM.png http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Male%20Roster/AntonioMarquez.pnghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Misc/Vs.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Male%20Roster/RafaelRuiz.png "The Aristocrat" Antonio Marquez III w/ Jennifer MarquezVs "The Pitbull" Rafael Ruiz Following his verbal debut, last week, Antonio Marquez steps in the ring for the first time against another man of Latino heritage, Rafael Ruiz. Marquez, last week, found out that he would partake in a match against the man who crashed his welcome party last week, Matty Keith, at our inaugural Pay Per Vew, Cold Fusion. This week, he looks to showcase his skills against a man who has made a habit of causing pain in his native Mexico. The tanacious Pitbull is likely to see this as an opportunity to twist and tear up the Mexican Superstar in a way that would likely see him unable to compete at Cold Fusion. Match Six http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Misc/RSM.png http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Male%20Roster/Machine.pnghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Misc/Vs.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Male%20Roster/MikeyJames.png "The Insane" MachineVs "The Dragon" Mikey James Following their collision during last weeks show, there have been rumblings that these two will want to fight one another here tonight. This match is bu no meals offical, but it is heavily rumoured. Neither man was entered in the World Heavyweight Title tournement, and neither had been booked in a match last week. Some believe this is Machine's motivation, being passed over in favour of other names, some believe this is down to the fact that Mikey James is loved by the fans. The truth? Only Machine knows why he attacked last week, and it is unlikely that he'll be sharing that truth with any of us any time soon. Main Event http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Misc/RSM.png http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Male%20Roster/Acid.pnghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/Misc/Vs.jpghttp://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx161/mikemelling/TRW/People/Male%20Roster/ReedArcher.png "The Burning" Acid w/ Carl Batch Vs "The Specialist" Reed Archer We start the night with a semi-final and we end the night with a Semi-Final. There is a high level of interest in this match as before the brackets were announced, these two were amongst of the favourites to win the vacant Championship. It is somewhat ironic that these two meet in a Semi-Final match when many felt this could and should have been the final bout. Last week, Reed Archer overcome the incredible challange of Citizen X in order to move into this match, whereas Acid defeated, somewhat fortuitously, Buddy Garner. Who will move to the final? Who will be in line to be champion and just who will become the first TRW World Heavyweight Champion? Join us live this Wednesday Night, on NCTV. I-Canadian Broadcasting and for our non-domestic viewers, online at TRW.com. Card is Subject to Change <hr> Quick Pick Bryan Holmes Vs Steve Flash Zeus Vs Joseph Beauchamp Steve Parker Vs Tane Vs Jake Jett James Prudence & Citizen X Vs Buddy Garner & John Pathlow Antonio Marquez III Vs Rafael Ruiz Acid Vs Reed Archer
20LEgend Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 Good first show, liked Vibert and Emily Edwards in particular Bryan Holmes Vs Steve Flash He's a company man (his name proves it) so I think he take a loss here Zeus Vs Joseph Beauchamp Zeus is a monster Steve Parker Vs Tane Vs Jake Jett Something with Chord James Prudence & Citizen X Vs Buddy Garner & John Pathlow In a real fight Buddy and Pathlow would destroy them, I'll go for that Antonio Marquez III Vs Rafael Ruiz He is one to push in every game Acid Vs Reed Archer This is known as a classic of the indies, they've battled before and I think Acid will come out on top.
