ShaunGBD
I tried running AVG and it said that TEW.exe is a virus. So it won't run. I tried searching the forum for fixes and The one link that has the answer got taken down. Can some please give me a step by step on how to fix it and also can someone tell me how to uninstall AVG. I have another virus scanner so I don't need it. Thanks
Dalimyr
Uninstalling's straightforward enough. Go to Control Panel then search for something with "Programs" in the name; this seems to change depending on the version of Windows you're using, but look for things like "Add/Remove Programs", "Remove Programs" or "Programs and Features" and you'll find it eventually. AVG will be included in the list of programs in there (it MIGHT take a while to load - on one of my older computers it could take upwards of 5 minutes to load everything). Find it and select "Uninstall" Once AVG's gone, presumably TEW shouldn't have a problem running
Wailer
May I ask what version of AVG you are running? I am using AVG 2011, and have had no issues with it. I even ran a complete scan after reading your comment, and it found no issues with TEW. Also in AVG, you can set it to ignore files, it is claiming are viruses. If you do plan to un-install, one recommendation would be to download the program revo-uninstaller. It works much better than the windows add/remove programs, plus it can remove many of the left over files and items in the registry. It is hardly necessary to get, but I do much prefer it to windows add/remove panel.
