Having done MicroHero's in the past, I love this.

 

I really wouldn't mind a full mod of a game like this, simply because I think the standard yet cartoonish look of them could actually help the immersion of the game.

I wouldn't worry about it then and swipe away, just make sure to credit the contributions to that site.

 

 

So I did a bit of digging and it turns out that the site is the work of a whole bunch of other contributors (see the Creators image list).

 

More digging on the MIB board basically says "If you don't want people using your work, don't post it."

 

Further analysis would say that unlike original renders, it would be difficult for any of the creators to get pissy about their "intellectual property" because it's not really their as they are images based off of other IP works, and most of them are built using templates designed by yet OTHER people.

 

The equivalent I could think of would be someone taking a TEW image, modifying it using one of the "pic packs" distributed by, say Undertaker666 and then forbidding anyone from using it because it's "his"

 

Such a person woudl be laughed at because there wouldn't be an original piece in their original work

 

The fundamental rule of net piracy applies. If it doesn't say "don't steal", it's not original work, and you have made a reasonable attempt to contact the site owner (they don't have any contact info listed) and the community is designed around sharing, then steal away!

 

And if they find out and get pissy just remove it later.

I think a mod full of micro heroes would be really good. Just not sure which background is best.

The standard one(s) should be fine, just gotta make sure the colors don't clash.

 

 

Black might be the most difficult as it could obscure the lines, so my guess would be Orange would be the best for non-orange heroes, with Red or Blue for ones that don't look great on orange.
