<p>If a graduate from my dojo gets an A* match, I add 1% to the prestige of the dojo.</p><p> </p><p>

I've also imported workers from another mod and signed a couple, including very good ones (though I usually give it 3-6 months), and I mess with most gens/regens to ensure they're employable (though not AWESOME) and again, sometimes sign them.</p><p> </p><p>

Oh, I tend to kill NOTBPW though. I really can't stand them and how broken they are in game. I rarely sign their people, though. In my latest game, running MAW, I've set them to being at war with CGC and had each of them raid one another for talent, as well as set Sean McFly with a heavy starting injury and setting Dan Stone Jr/Dark Eagle as working in Japan.</p><p> </p><p>

I consider that less cheating and more some... balancing, though - especially since as MAW, those people are hardly accessible to me.</p>

<p>Its a game. Have fun with it. </p><p> </p><p>

I will often change things around a bit before starting up a regular (as in non-diary) game. That might mean doing some pre-game editing to add a worker I'd like to use to a different roster or just making sure they will be available early in the game. It can make a given game feel different, even if I've used that promotion a dozen times. </p><p> </p><p>

I don't think there's really any issue with "cheating" so long as someone is up front about it. Someone trying to brag up an accomplishment and then having it turn out to be because they edited is lame.</p>

I tend to give money to some of the less fortunate promotions that way they don't go belly up the first couple months. I also boost some of the overness to the promotions who have weekly televised shows. Nothing I hate more that to see all the smaller promotions lose their time slots after about 5 episodes because of poor ratings.

<p>It really depends on what you consider "cheating". I know I personally only do 2 things that <em>could</em> be considered "cheating" by some:</p><p> </p><p>

1. Erase all Start Injuries. I'd rather have all promotions have their full rosters to work with.</p><p> </p><p>

2. From time to time, I'll check the Personal Stats (Drinking, Steroids, etc.) through both the in-game editor and the database editor. I NEVER change anything, I just use it to see if my discipline is working.</p><p> </p><p>

Honestly, I wouldn't consider either of those cheating. Some might, though. I have no idea how others play their game regarding this topics.</p>

I never cheat in a game I make a diary out of. However in my regular game, I tend to change some stuff. For example in the MAW game I'm running right now, I added money to my balance to pay for a venue I built and said that my user character donated the money to the company for the project. I've also edited contracts of people I've worked hard at getting. The most recent example was Aaron Andrews. I waited and waited and waited for him. Its finally 2014 and I signed him. Two months later, SWF rose back to Global, so I edited his contract to a written deal for an extended period of time. I've edited a few contracts for wages as well. I refuse to pay 2000 an appearance to anyone so I edit them down to 1500 and below.

I do that. I also do that with any promotion I take over. If I'm taking over a business, I'm not going to stand for pennies on the balance sheet, after all. The price I paid for the company goes into the promotion. I also change the product like Rick said. But that's not cheating. It's called 'a new regime - a new direction'. If Paul Heyman took over TNA, would he book it just like Russo did?

I've always stopped short of editing contracts though. I'm not fixated enough on any workers to do that.

1: I like to give money to smaller company's that have say less then a hundred thousand just to keep them around a bit and see how they do.

2: In tommy's WOTI mod i aged back several workers who had retired and even brought a few back that were dead. I just had to have Georges George working again in his prime in the AWA.

Fantasy mods i fool around with alot but in real life based mods i don't. But i don't believe there is really such a thing as cheating in this game. TEW is meant to be played how ever you see fit.

I usually ever just play my mod own mod, in which I have adjusted everything to how I feel it should be. I suppose that could be considered "cheating" by some.

Like Rick Savant, I also tend to change my product a bit when starting a game if it doesn't quite suit me.

And for my first game ever in TEW2010, because I wasn't doing very well and dropped to cult, I prolonged some of my workers' contracts in the editor. This is not something I'd ever do again, though.

Oh, and I've also done like soxfan93 and occationally checked workers' drug stats to see whether my discipline was working.

I always think that 'proper' tag teams, especially those whose entire careers are based on their team (e.g. New Wave, Flames, Demons, Warlords, Outbackers) would be dealt with at the same time, and therefore their contracts would expire at the same time. I do it to my own teams too, I must add.</p>

<p>Yea I edit some stuff mid game to make things interesting or to keep the game enjoyable.</p><p> </p><p>

I normally have my user character based on me as a great wrestler.. although it's an extension of myself and which wrestling fan doesn't wanna be a pro wrestler xD</p><p> </p><p>

I don't have him winning everything right away especially in a company the size of WWE or whoever..</p>

I don't cheat at games because you are cheating others and yourself.

Like I don't cheat at golf for the same reason.

How are you cheating others?

But yeah, it's definitely cheating yourself. All of your achievements are tainted because they weren't earned by hard work, they were just "stolen". It's like using steroids in baseball.

I refuse to believe anyone will ever play a promotion for 50 years. Multi-advancing ahead 50 years? Sure, I did that. But playing from day 1 for 50 years? That's...yeah.

I think someone could easily do it if it was only 1 show per month. Well not easily. It would still take a lot of determination.

HOW are you cheating yourself. Its a game with a editor so people can play how they like.<img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/confused.png.d4a8e6b6eab0c67698b911fb041c0ed1.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/rolleyes.png.4b097f4fbbe99ce5bcd5efbc1b773ed6.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

I've never once wanted to be a pro wrestler. The thought of killing myself for pennies on the dollar "paying my dues" completely turned me off. College football/basketball players have the option to take out insurance against catastrophic injury (hi Lloyd's!) but indy wrestlers? Newp!</p><p> </p><p> My user character is typically a ridiculously charismatic microphone fiend color commentator, in addition to often being the owner.</p><p> </p><p> Nobby, you are completely off the wall with the golf comparison. You're comparing a competitive <strong><em>sport</em></strong> to a non-competitive single player video game. Here's the thing. If you cheat at golf, you'll never get better and people with skill will always whip your arse (and you're likely to lose money since many people bet on their golf games). If you "cheat" at TEW....you're playing the game the way you want and that's what matters. There are people who have played TEW since it was EWR in almost straight edge fashion and still haven't gotten appreciably "better" at it, because that's not their thing. They want to run a promotion (usually WWE) and put on the shows they want to see. They're not cheating themselves and they're not cheating you or me or Eidenhoek or James Casey or Adam Ryland or anyone else.</p><p> </p><p> Oh but one "cheat" I do in every game (so much so that it didn't occur to me initially) is I lock up 2-4 developmental talents to long term exclusive deals so I can turn them into (in-ring) stars. Usually it's the same four workers too (Kisu, Apple Miyuki, Isis the Amazon, and Vanessa Kraven). Depending the mod, Isis might be replaced by someone like Alura or Belle Lovitz or Sendai Sachiko (some mods have Isis rated slightly below WWE diva standards, i.e. performance skills averaging around 40. Those types of workers need all the work they can possibly get so I manipulate the game to get them signed by other promotions so they work a lot).</p>

<p>I will only "cheat" (ie use the editor) if I think the game does something that is unrealistic or doesn't make sense. For instance, a dramatic drop in overness for a worker who lost an even and good-quality match to a worker on the same level.</p><p> </p><p>

Unfortunately, that happens all too often.</p>
