Playing the 77 Cverse mod as SWF though, I signed Crippler Ray Kingman and in a rush to debut him, didn't change his gimmick. The result - his "No 'Gimmick Needed" gimmick got a rating of 4!

Done that many a time. Normally you are meant to wait six months before changing it again, but I waited two-three months and despite having the 'gimmick changed too soon' note I had Steven Parker's E+ turn to an A*. To be fair, despite being a Lower Mid in the SWF he was still cranking out B matches with an E+ gimmick. It's just up to you whether you want to take the risk - just remember that he'll be annoyed with you if it fails again and you're pushing the date when you can 'properly' change further away.
