On January 4th Hulk Hogan made his debut for TNA. Little did he know that TNA was losing money and fast. Panda Energy was about to pull the plug, But after Vince Russo made the suggest to bring in Hogan as a last ditched effort to turn the company around TNA was given 1 month to turn things around or a new owner would be found.

The January 4th Impact was a huge successes and everyone thought the company was turning around, but the 11 day lay off between shows killed the momentum dead. And the show continued to be filled with over interference and confusing angles.

Panda Energy told Dixie that the Genesis PPV would have to get great feed back or the company would be sold to a new owner that they have been having talks with over the past month. Unfortunately for Dixie, Genesis was widely criticized and Panda sold the company within an hour of the PPV going off the air.

The following was the results from the Genesis PPV

Sean Morley defeated Daniels

Tara Defeated ODB to win the Knockouts Championship

Matt Morgan & Hernandez defeated The British Invasion to retain the World Tag Team Championship

Desmond Wolfe defeated D’angelo Dinero

Beer Money Inc. defeated The Band

Mr. Anderson defeated Abyss

AJ Styles defeated Kurt Angle to retain the world title, after Ric Flair interfered on AJ’s behalf

As soon as the new owner of TNA took over he changed the entire backstage environment up, He released all the current Road Agents, and hired former WWE champions Booker T and JBL along with Scott D’amore to tale their place, and they will also be working on the creative team. Vince Russo has been given a new job title as an Advisor his main job now is to send storyline ideas to the new team. It is expected that the TNA Impact name could see a change soon as TNA gets a brand new start
