Free month of Marvel Digital Comics

Recommended Posts

Go here and enter coupon code CAP734 during signup for 1 month free access to Marvel's Digital Comics - no billing info needed, available only to new members. Marvel has over 9,000 comics currently in their archive, which is one of the reasons I'm posting this here instead of the Dog Pound- this would make a super useful resource for those interested in making a Marvel Universe mod, especially for pictures:

I decided to read some Deadpool and it stopped me after a few pages saying I have to be a premium member :(

In every issue? Did you put the coupon code in? I haven't been stopped yet, although it may simply be that I have been lucky so far.

I did put the code in. I read What if Legion Killed Magneto and Xavier? and then I went to start on Deadpool #1 from 1997 and after 4 pages it stopped me saying that I need to be a Premium member to continue and that being a premium member also grants me access to over 6000 more titles.

I checked and it's the same for me. Thought it seemed a bit too good to be true! :D

When you open a comic, click on the page button at the bottom and it will bring up a preview of all the pages (as they load). If the comic requires premium subscription then the pages will be replaced with a padlock. At least you won't start a story without being unable to finish it. Deadpool #1 from 1994, for example, is free to read.

I have the ones from 94 :(

That's why I started with the ones from 1997. Ah well, there's other methods of reading them :p

Refresh and re-log, it's a known issue with the site.

Hate to ask an obvious question, but are you sure you entered the code correctly? Oh, and I took another look at the page, make sure you have the single month (the $9.99) option selected. You should have access to all 9,000+ titles they have for viewing if you did it correctly.

Yes, I'm sure I entered it correctly. I got the confirmation code and everything. I even signed up with another email making sure I did and its doing the exact same thing.

Can you view every page of Deadpool #1 from 1997?

Just did a check, getting the same thing. #2 can be read completely through though. Must be a bug.

Just a thought. Anyone reading through these who is interested with helping out modders or picture cutters, if you see a picture that would make a good cut (especially if it's of obscure, vintage, or support characters) make sure you save a picture somewhere for later use.

Lots of times the only way to find useful pictures of less popular/modern characters is in the actual comic books, and as Adam said, a good gameworld will need high and low leveled characters, not to mention non-super hero allies
