Remianen
Calgary, Alberta, Canada I'm a simple man, who just happens to be a huge fan of women's wrestling. If there was a show with women's wrestling happening in the US or Canada, I tried to make it. Even went to Japan and Europe a few times. I worked an unglamorous job (I design and renovate bathrooms. Not kitchens though, they take too long), developed a good reputation in and around my hometown of New York City, and made a decent living doing something I enjoyed. Then it happened. I had read about the professional social media site Connect-Ed planning an IPO. I had a hunch. There's no other way I can explain what I did. I took my life savings and added it to every dollar I could beg or borrow and put in an order for 100,000 shares at the opening price of $15 per. I got stuck finishing a project on IPO day and when I got home, I went right to sleep. I woke up to a whole new world. I flipped around with the remote, trying to find one of those financial news shows and when I found one, my breath caught in my throat. Connect-Ed was trading at $377 per share. Now, I'm no math whiz but that seemed to give me a profit of...I still can't say it out loud. But I made sure to sell it all as quickly as I could! I paid off all the people I had borrowed from (including my credit cards) and threw a tidy sum into my IRA as well as opening a Roth IRA. I told a few people who I thought were friends what happened and that's when the circus came to town. I guess I'm partially to blame as well, having run out and bought a brand new truck with a bank check. But my old one was 14 years old and needed to be retired. When I came home from work, I saw news vans camped outside my apartment. I know what usually happens when people come into money and the press catches wind of it. So I did what anyone in my position would do. I ran. Jumped in my brand new truck (I think the hippies call it a 'Hybrid SUV') and took off to parts unknown. Eventually, I wound up crashing a week or so later with some friends outside Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Every day after work, they trained, waiting for a call that would probably never come. But I noticed that the complex they frequented seemed to have a who's who of Canadian women's talent come through the doors. One night over drinks at the chain hotel I finally checked into with Roz (aka "The Lion Queen"), Evie (aka "Eve Grunge"), Kimmy ("Nikki Power"), and Nic (-ola Halliwell) along with Janet ("Officer Goodhead") and Dana ("Nurse Darla Knight) who I picked up in Vegas on the way in, someone said, "You should open a promotion and make me champion!" to a chorus of laughter. Hmm.....
Hashasheen
Now, I'm no math whiz but that seemed to give me a profit of...I still can't say it out loud. Thirty Seven Million and Five hundred fifty thousand?
Remianen
Thirty Seven Million and Five hundred fifty thousand? Very good! I rounded to 35 to account for the fact that I wouldn't be able to sell all the shares at 377 (especially being in a hurry to dump 'em). ------------------------------------------ Three days after the laughter, we're in an office I rented on behalf of Amdian Corp, sending all the nearby cell towers into a tizzy. Once I explained my idea to the girls over some strong, black (nasty) Starbucks coffee, everyone was on board. After explaining our concept to a variety of workers, we lucked out and landed everyone we went after. Well, almost everyone. "Man, her name fits. She IS a bitch!" "Don't worry about her. We don't need her. We got Steph and she's infinitely better," Evie said, working the office's exercise bike at a tepid pace. "But she's young! We could do so much with her!" "Oh quit whining. Besides, I don't think she fits the concept. She's an established star here but she'll probably never work in Canada again. The Stones don't play around. And AAA hires people every leap year, it seems," the always forward Kimmy input. The collective wisdom was on point. But what was more surprising, really, was the next call we got. "I got Amanda Parsons on line 1," Roz broadcast. That name prompted Janet and Dana to look at each other, which everyone noticed. "Who's Amanda Parsons?" In unison, Janet and Dana responded: "Amy Galaxy." "DISH!" "She's cool. Really fun to be around and doesn't take herself too seriously." Dana said. "She knows how to play people though. But she's a hard worker and obviously doesn't mind showing a lil skin," Janet finished. "Ugh, I didn't expect to get everyone we went after. I guess that means that I can't hire any of you...." As the silence deepened, and all eyes turned to me, I couldn't keep a straight face. "Jeez, I'm kidding!" Maybe I should've left the room before saying that, I thought, as a sofa cushion slammed me square in the face. The buzzer went off and a courier in a suit holding a rather large metal case stood in front of the security camera. "Bling is here!" As I signed for the case and brought it back into the office, the girls surrounded my desk as I opened it.....
Remianen
First off, my QAW diary is alive and well. I just wanted to do something totally different (read: not graphics heavy). Remianen
I called a meeting of the entire roster, just to go through the ground rules and let everyone know what to expect. Meeting everyone I hadn't met before was a big bonus, but it wasn't the only reason I wanted to gather everyone. I guess you can say I'm old school. I like to look a person in the eye when I tell them something they may not like. "Thanks everyone for coming. I'm not going to keep you around long but I can assure you that this get together qualifies as an appearance, so you will be paid. Nic has the checks and you can get them on the way out. Ah, I see the eyes darting about. These checks are good. Our payroll is handled by a division of the Royal Bank of Canada. The money for each check is deducted from the company account and placed into escrow before the check is printed. Bounce proof as it gets. Now, let me explain to you our concept. The purpose of CWWF is to get each of you gainful employment within the wrestling industry. We're a training promotion. Our goal is to make you better so one of the big companies will take notice. That doesn't mean we're going to stand pat and be content running shows from a 300 seat venue. We'll grow. But it's not the primary goal for us. Our goal, is you. We have people who have already had stellar careers and right now, they want to give back and put their mark on the future of women's wrestling. Hell, we have the greatest women's wrestler of all time on board, so you know we're serious. We run a first class operation here and we're very well capitalized. But we also have some fairly strict rules to go with that. No drugs, alcohol, or smoking are allowed backstage at any time. You're expected to be at the venue a minimum of three hours before bell time and no one leaves until the very last segment is completed. In return, we offer a full catered spread with chef station. In addition to that, Kelly and Michael over there are our in-house masseuse team and the guy standing between them is their father Dr. Rosen, a board certified chiropractor. Oh yeah, and Mike's an exercise physiologist to pair with Kelly's kinesiology specialty, just in case you need a consult. As you're also no doubt aware, we provide both transportation and accommodations for our workers. The last bus leaves the designated hotel three hours and thirty minutes before bell time. If you miss it, you're on your own. Oh, except those of you who insisted on travel expenses being included in your contract. You guys are on your own. As far as most things go, I'm a pretty easygoing guy. But I have one warning for any and all of you: you f*** with my locker room and I will fire you. Point blank. You wanna fight, let me know and I'll book you and the target of your animosity. Have a ball, in the ring. I know what it's like to work somewhere that you hate the environment of. That's not going to happen here. Now, if there are no questions, I think I have a show to put together." CWWF Presents... Rayelek
I'm keeping an eye on this out of curiousity, but the roster seems really bloated. I'm wondering how everyone is going to get a well-developed character, but I've never seen you do a diary so it's possible.
Guest codey
I'm not going to embarrass myself by making picks (I'm not familiar with most of the women in the C-Verse at all) but I will say that I'm eagerly anticipating the first show. Oh, and I also wanna say NO EMMA BITCH!? I'm saddened, mostly because she retired like 4 months after I hired her for my diary.

Remianen
I'm keeping an eye on this out of curiousity, but the roster seems really bloated. I'm wondering how everyone is going to get a well-developed character, but I've never seen you do a diary so it's possible. Character development is going to be restricted to a chosen few, honestly. The trap I always fall into is trying to fully flesh out EVERY member of the roster and that's not really necessary. I mean, how many people care about the jobbers in a promotion? And I have jobbers at every card level, which helps lots. But here's a hint: Most of the joshi (being the most talented in-ring) will be developed. And most of the bloat on the roster is with the non-wrestlers. That's mainly because they're the easiest to train up (and to train others) so a lot of them will be gone inside of a year (especially since SWF has no managers percolating at RIPW). Oh, and I also wanna say NO EMMA BITCH!? I'm saddened, mostly because she retired like 4 months after I hired her for my diary. I thought I explained why in one of the early background posts. (She was too expensive and didn't fit the concept) Show's coming in a few minutes.
