The Top Stories of WrestleMania 27 are as followed:

Daniel Bryan Still Too Good?

Daniel Bryan remained the WWE United States Champion following a stunning draw with his former trainer and close friend; William Regal. How will this match propel the young star in the WWE? And how will management use one of the greatest wrestlers in WWE history?

Blood is Still thicker than Water?

In a blood feud that boiled over at WrestleMania 27, Cody Rhodes was able to outshine his brother Dustin and pick up a victory and managed to retain his WWE Intercontinental Championship. Will his brother act loyal to his brother or challenge him to a rematch? Will Dustin finally step out of the shadows of his brother and father?

Mr Money In the Bank, isn't money in the bank?

Alberto Del Rio picked up his biggest victory since joining the WWE, he defeated; Rey Mysterio, Edge, Christian, CM Punk and Kane. However, Del Rio allowed his arrogance to intervene with his fate and decided to challenge The Undertaker and to possibly end the streak and the career of the biggest name in Professional Wrestling history.

He failed.

Mr WrestleMania, The Snake and Ohhh Yeahh!

WrestleMania saw some of the biggest legends of WrestleMania return home to the event numbered 27. Both Shawn Micheals, Jake Robers and Randy Savage were involved in the event and their wasn't a dry tear in the house as all three men (and The Rock) were inducted in the WWE Hall Of Fame, Class of 2011.

Who is the rightful King to the Throne?

In an epic Fatal Four Way match, Four Former WWE Champions were in action with one goal in mind. To be named the best of the best of the last Two Years. But one man, one man was named the King, The King of Kings and no it was Triple H. But The Irish Curse named: Sheamus.

---WWE Raw---

In the first Raw following WrestleMania, the show opens with The Rock, in similar fashion to the previous nights show. However he states to the crowd that for the foreseeable future he has stepped up as the General Manager of Raw.

In a similar match to WrestleMania we saw Cody Rhodes take on and defend his Intercontinental title against his brother; Dustin Rhodes. But in a shock to the WWE Universe, Dustin picked up the win against his own flesh and blood. After the match we saw Dustin celebrate the win with the fans.

In a recap video of the weekend previous we were granted one last view of Randy Savage and Jake Roberts as they took up their places at the commentary table. They put on a great show for the people at home when they commentated on an old match between the pair at Saturday Nights Main Event back in the day. Randy Savage clearly outshone against Roberts.

In another rematch from last nights WrestleMania we saw Daniel Bryan and William Regal put on another clinic for the crowd. Both men were over like a doughnut at Weight Watchers. But Bryan pulled out another solid victory. After the match however Regal was pulling on his hamstring with considerable agony in his face. The crowd and Bryan could tell he was in a bad way so with help from the referee; Daniel helped Regal up the ramp to the locker room.

In a shock rating, the divas segment of the show saw Michelle McCool outwrestle her former tag team partner; Layla, Natalya and Beth Phoenix. She picked up the win when Layla was dropped with the Glam Slam and then locked into the Sharpshooter but only as she Layla tapped, Michelle knocked Nattie down with a drop kick before covering Layla for a pin.

A video played recapping the epic four way match between Triple H, Randy Orton, John Cena and Sheamus. But the video ends as it shows Sheamus kneeling down as the victor and the King.

In a loose rematch from the previous match we saw John Morrison take on and defeat The Miz, Diesel and Alex Riley. But the finish of the match came as Diesel was tempted to pin Morrison but decided to remain loyal and drag Morrison to pin Alex Riley.

In the next segment we saw the new General Manager of Raw speaking with Alberto Del Rio and Sting. Both men are wanting to take on The Undertaker in a match for the World Heavyweight title but The Rock tells them that the Undertaker is gone. They ask where but a told he’s gone but the Rock said that he is the overseer of Raw and if The Deadman is gone then he is going to give Del Rio and Sting their match. But not on SmackDown, he says the match will happen tonight on WWE Raw!

In the main event of the show we saw a new World Heavyweight Champion crowned and that winner is; Sting. He picked up the win following a great match that went back and forth between each other. The finish came as he dropped him with a Stinger Splash into the Scorpion Deathdrop and finally a Scorpion Deathlock submission.

This weeks SmackDown opens with the new World Heavyweight Champion; Sting. He shows a recap of his match with Alberto Del Rio from the previous Monday Night Raw. Then he tells the crowd that if another match between the pair takes place then he will annihilate the career of Alberto Del Rio, once and for all. He seems to be very cautious as he stands in the ring on his own, almost as if he is expecting someone but in the end he walks out with his belt over his shoulder.

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Dynasty/Untitled-1.png

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/TNA/Kane.jpgvshttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/TNA/JustinGabriel.jpg

In the first match, we saw Kane being demoted down the card to the opening contest when he took on and defeated Justin Gabriel. The finish of the match came as he planted him on his head with the Tombstone Pile driver.

66

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Dynasty/Untitled-1.png

After Kane’s match with Gabriel he goes to the outside and smashes the ring announcer across the face and demands he be handed a microphone. Once he is given it he re-enters the ring and tells the crowd that he will make it back to the top of the mountain once again. Now that his brother is out of the way, the devils favourite son will become top dog once again.

93

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Dynasty/Untitled-1.png

Next on the show was Mysterio drawing in a hard fought battle with Ezekiel Jackson who seems to be working on his in ring skills and managed to pull out a middle of the road match with a veteran. However after the match we had the dominant force of the Corre destroy Mysterio leaving him (controversially) bloodied on the canvas.

76

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Dynasty/Untitled-1.png

Next on the show we see Dustin Rhodes wandering the corridors asking if they’d seen any tag teams that aren’t on the card until finally he walks into the path of Edge & Christian who offer their services for one night only.

The next match was the one made in the previous segment between Dustin, Edge and Christian against Cody, Chavo and Drew McIntyre. The match was technically sound despite Drew McIntyre clearly looking out of place against the three veteran on the opposing team. The finish of the match came as Cody tried to take out Edge with Dustin’s Intercontinental Championship belt but as he did he was spotted by the referee, thus disqualifying himself.

Despite being booked to being on the show, the SmackDown crowd seemed shocked that the most electrifying man in sports entertainment showed up on the blue brand. He gave is regular spiel about it being his show and how it was good to be back, he announced to the crowd that he is the new WWE General Manager. This meaning he is in control of both SmackDown and Raw for the time being and his first call is that there will the annual draft; this Monday on Raw!

But he wasn’t finished there as he announced that the tides are changing in the WWE and it starts tonight, World Wrestling Entertainment is no longer PG. But indeed they are now TV-14!

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/TNA/MichelleMcCool.jpgvshttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/TNA/RosaMendes.jpg

After the impactful announcement from The Rock, the divas segment of the night bombed with the crowd as most used it as a toilet break. Good job as Michelle McCool saw off the challenge from Rosa Mendes in under 5 minutes. Michelle seems to be becoming unbeatable with a nearly 3 month title reign.

59

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Dynasty/Untitled-1.png

In this segment the crowd saw Wade Barrett standing in the Corre locker room with his stable mates standing behind him with giant intense grins on their faces. He shows the crowd the footage of their destruction of the Big Show in one of the worst beat downs in recent memory. But after it is finished he tells the crowd that he promises tonight there will be no interference as he takes on Santino Marella next.

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/TNA/WadeBarrett.jpgvshttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/TNA/SantinoMarella.jpg

Staying true to his word, Wade Barrett kept his promise and defeated Santino Marella in a surprisingly close match. However, it didn’t take Barrett long to counter the Cobra and drop with the Wasteland for the three count.

65

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Dynasty/Untitled-1.png

After a commercial break Alberto Del Rio enter the ringside area as he took up his place at commentary booth for Stings match in the main event.

In a sound wrestling match for the main event, Tyler Reks made his case known that he is deserving of a push as they put on a quality main event. This match however never had the shenanigans of the Corre but instead had a hilarious commentary from Alberto Del Rio.

Awesome stuff man, good to see you back at it again. Really enjoyed your last one!

Cross Branded Battle Royal

Daniel Bryan vs. Seth Rollins: I like how strongly you've booked DB so far and I see him getting the win here after a good match with Rollins.

John Cena & Randy Orton vs. Edge & Christian: Even contest but I see the two biggest faces on Raw slightly edging it (excuse the pun).

John Morrison vs. Alberto Del Rio: A win for the former Mr MITB, as he needs to regain some much needed momentum after being the first Superstar to cash in the contract and fail.

Triple H vs. Sting: I can see this ending as a draw or no contest through interference. This match is just too huge for a clean finish on TV, maybe a future PPV match?

He berates the blue brand saying that he is better than every other superstar on that show. However as he continues to run his mouth, the man known as Sting walks out from the back to the sound of Back in Black by AC/DC blasting around the arena. But as he enters the ring and is about to speak the music of WWE Raws, general manager hits and out walks The Rock.

He announces to the crowd that since The Miz is afraid of Smackdown and that Sting has been a home for himself on that brand, The Rock tells the fans that he is eliminating The Miz and Sting from the draft but informs them that both champions’ number one contender will be in action and that the winner will earn two draft picks for that brand.

In an enormous Battle Royal match, both Raw and Smackdown were equally represented at five superstars from each brand. The winner of the match and finish came as Michael McGillicutty eliminated most of the Smackdown stars and CM Punk eliminated all of the Raw stars but as it came down to the Straight Edge Saviour and his protégé; Punk ended up cheating his way to the victory. He did this by having Husky Harris at ringside throw him a chair in and he smashed Michael over the back before dumping him over the top.

70

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Dynasty/Untitled-1.png

In a shock to the Nexus McGillicutty got up almost instantly after the match and he leapt into the ring before confronting the Nexus leader; Punk. McGillicutty hit Punk with his Hennig Plex before trying to kick Husky but he was out of dodge too quickly. McGillicutty took to the microphone and he announced his break from the Nexus and that he is no longer Michael McGillicutty but it is his birth rite to be…Mr. Perfect Mike Hennig. As he continues to speak a video and sound starts playing and the draft pick is made…

74

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Dynasty/Untitled-1.png

In a shock to the crowd in attendance and clearly to the draft pick, the red brand inherits the leader of the Corre which seemed to also shock his former stable mates; Nexus. Wade Barrett moves to Raw!

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/TNA/BryanDanielson.jpgvshttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/TNA/TylerBlack.jpg

In his debut match on WWE, Seth Rollins took on Daniel Bryan in a decent match, but the Raw representative (Bryan) picked up the win. He did a good job of making Rollins look strong in his debut but won with the Lebelle Lock. During the match however we did have Alex Riley on commentary announcing himself as the number one contender for the WWE United States Championship.

63

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Dynasty/Untitled-1.png

As the video stops after going through the roster for the second time tonight it finally stops on the WWE Intercontinental Champion; Dustin Rhodes. Meanwhile his brother Cody looks on very amused with the change of brand.

In the biggest tag team match in years, Edge and Christian picked up an enormous victory over two of the biggest faces on Raw. The blue brand won the pick and earned Edge & Christian some huge momentum for their tag reunion. Maybe this is enough for the pair to return to the tag team ranks.

89

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Dynasty/Untitled-1.png

The next draft pick is chosen and with an incredible reaction from the crowd; Triple H, the King of Kings, the Cerebral Assassin is going back to Smackdown!

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/TNA/JohnMorrison.jpgvshttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/TNA/AlbertoDelRio.jpg

With a great match came a not so great ending, for John Morrison as he was defeated by Alberto Del Rio when both the Miz and Alex Riley attacked him from the crowd whilst Del Rio had the referee distracted. This match earned Smackdown two draft picks.

Those two drafts were chosen and moving to Smackdown are…John Cena and CM Punk!

As Mike Hennig realises what has happened he knows that he has severed the ties from the Nexus too late and he will not get his hands on Punk; at least for the time being.

In the biggest main event, two of the biggest names of the nineties collided for the first time ever; Sting and Triple H. They took the fight to one another and the fans were lapping it up chanting for Sting, then Triple H and Sting and Triple H. But mirroring the fans’ chanting; neither man could out wrestle the other and both collapsed in the ring until the referee counted the ten count.

Due to the draw, no draft picks were made and the show ended with Triple H and Sting lying prone in the centre of the squared circle.

Welcome to the first edition of Headlocks and Headlines, the weekly online newsletter about the goings on in and around the Professional Wrestling business.

This week saw one of the biggest announcements in wrestling history, well maybe the second biggest announcement. The announcement that shook the world was made by Total Nonstop Action Wrestling as the company of nine years filed for administration.

The news was broke via twitter as Dixie Carter returned to the social networking site for one last time saying: "It's been a great run and I've proved many people wrong" and "Thanks for a fun 8 years! - DC"

There has been no acknowledgement of the company going down the pan by any of its competitors i.e; World Wrestling Entertainment & Ring Of Honor.

In light of this announcement, rumour has it that Jeff Jarrett was surprisingly the first to request his release immediately. As a result of the request, there have been rumours of Jarrett returning to the WWE. However the WWE have denied any contact with the independent contractor stating that they have no use for his character.

In other news; WWE Smackdown previews have been released for this fridays episode:

Tyler Reks vs. Triple H

Edge & Christian vs. Drew McIntyre & Cody Rhodes

Big Show vs. Alberto Del Rio

Check back at Wrestling - Headlocks and Headlines for more information soon!

---WWE SmackDown---

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/TNA/BigShow.jpgvshttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/TNA/AlbertoDelRio.jpg

This weeks Smackdown opens with a huge match between the Big Show and number one contender to the World Heavyweight Championship; Alberto Del Rio. With Sting on commentary, the mind of Del Rio was heavily towards the outside of the ropes rather than his imposing opponent inside of them. He managed to pick up the win however when the Big Show allowed him to hook the arm Del Rio demanded it into position for the Armbar for an enormous victory.

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Dynasty/Untitled-1.png

After the match however, the battle wounded Del Rio was done yet and he called out Sting who was sitting on commentary. He tell him that he has earned a title, he has beaten the biggest and baddest over his short WWE tenure. But as he continues to talk down the microphone Sting remains seated until finally entering the ring and as he does; Del Rio approaches him and they stare each other down before walking off.

Continue on from the opening segments is the divas match of the night and it is a triple threat match between Phoenix, Mendes and Kaitlyn. The match didn’t last long when Phoenix pulled out a worthy victory and earned herself the number one contendership.

In another big match for Smackdown the crowd are treated with a match between one legendary tag team and one rookie team. The finish of the match came as Edge went in for a spear on Cody Rhodes but misses and plants his shoulder into the turnbuckle and both men crawl to their respective corners. They both get the tag and the crowd go wild for Christian who ducks a clothesline from McIntyre and nails him with the Kill switch for the three count.

83

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Dynasty/Untitled-1.png

After the match we had the winners take to the microphone and announce their official reunion as a team. Then they tell the Corre that they are coming for the tag team titles and that next week they make it known in person.

80

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Dynasty/Untitled-1.png

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/TNA/TripleH.jpgvshttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/TNA/TylerReks.jpg

In a solid match we saw the WWE Smackdown return of Triple H and he picked up the win following an interference from the Corre that went wrong. However as they tried to attack Triple H he countered and destroyed them all but Tyler who decided to back down.

81

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Dynasty/Untitled-1.png

After the mess of the Corre left ringside Triple H took to the microphone, he announced to the crowd that his return to Smackdown is the first step in him regaining gold. He tells them that the era of the Cerebral Assassin is upon and that nothing will get in his the way of his pursuit.

97

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Dynasty/Untitled-1.png

Little did Triple H know that the another new arrival was lying in wait backstage and out walked CM Punk who gave a shoot like promo on Smackdown. Saying that it was a step down and that he was the Straight Edge Saviour of the blue brand. He stated that it was a travesty that he hasn’t been granted an instant title just for being put on the second rate show.

The camera cuts to a commercial and it comes back just before the next segment (Triple H leaves ringside during the break, leaving CM Punk alone on the ramp.).

88

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Dynasty/Untitled-1.png

Taking offense to this promo, on the big screen arrived The Rock as he announced that CM Punk would get a title shot at Extreme Rules if he could beat the former WWE Champion…John Cena! He tells Punk that the match is next!

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/TNA/JohnCena.jpgvshttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/TNA/CMPunk.jpg

In what could have been a great match; CM Punk picked up a loss to John Cena in a terrible match between the two as they just couldn’t get it together due to not having any chemistry what so ever. The finish of the match came as Punk botched a springboarding drop kick and Cena followed up with the Attitude Adjustment.

---WWE Raw---

This weeks Raw opens with Randy Orton in the centre of the ring announcing to the crowd that since his show has been destroyed in the draft, leaving him without any competition. Now he is issuing a challenge to himself that he is going to prove that Raw has future hall of famers and to show this he is going to compete against every superstar on the red brand; starting with the curtain jerker’s all the way up to the main eventers.

73

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Dynasty/Untitled-1.png

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/TNA/RandyOrton.jpgvshttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/TNA/YoshTatsu.jpg

In a middle of the road match Randy Orton defeated Yoshi Tatsu in his first step on fighting against every worker on Raw and proving that they have talented workers. The match ended when Tatsu went for his roundhouse kick but was caught by the neck and dropped with the RKO.

62

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Dynasty/Untitled-1.png

In his second promo in as many weeks, Mike Hennig began a tirade against his former mentor; CM Punk calling him a coward because of jumping ship to Smackdown. He then proceeded to take apart the Nexus and announced that he would take each one out one at a time, starting with Husky Harris.

46

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Dynasty/Untitled-1.png

As Hennig continues his challenge, The Rock appears on the titantron once again, using his authority status as he makes a match between Husky Harris and Mike Hennig. But not a singles match; a tag team match and tells them they need to find a tag team partner and they have the duration of the divas match to do it.

86

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Dynasty/Untitled-1.png

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/TNA/EveTorres.jpghttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/TNA/NatalyaNeidhart.jpgvshttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/TNA/BrieBella.jpghttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/TNA/NikkiBella.jpg

In the divas action was a match between The Bella’s and Eve Torres & Natalya, the finish of the match came when Natalya locked the Sharpshooter on Brie as Eve kept Nikki distracted on the outside. Through winning the match Natalya earned a spot in the Divas title match at Extreme Rules.

71

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Dynasty/Untitled-1.png

However after the match, Layla comes out from the back and tells the crowd that she had been to the GM and that since she has a rematch clause in her contract from WrestleMania since she was co holder of the belt. The crowd seem to respond warmly to the English diva.

46

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Dynasty/Untitled-1.png

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/TNA/DustinRhodes-1.jpghttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/TNA/TedDibiaseJr.jpgvshttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/TNA/MikeMcGillicutty.jpghttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/TNA/HuskyHarris.jpg

In a match that was leaked on the internet prior to Raw this week, Mike Hennig and Dustin Rhodes took on and lost to Husky Harris and Ted DiBiase. However it wasn’t a clean finish as David Otunga (taking exception to the comments made by Hennig) ran in and attacked the referee before attacking Hennig and Rhodes. Then he ripped the referees’ shirt off and draped it over him to count the three.

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Dynasty/Untitled-1.png

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/TNA/WadeBarrett.jpgvshttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/TNA/JohnMorrison.jpg

In a shock to the fans, Wade Barrett pulled out an emphatic victory over John Morrison, however the main story of the match was The Miz on live commentary. The commentary was blasted over the PA system so the both the crowd in attendance and John Morrison could hear every word. This distraction was an enormous boost for Barrett as he could plainly see that Morrisons mind was elsewhere.

88

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Dynasty/Untitled-1.png

After the match however, Wade Barrett walked straight over to The Miz and gets in his face before telling him that the English Wasteland has arrived on Raw and no one is safe, especially the WWE Champion!

74

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/Dynasty/Untitled-1.png

http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/TNA/TheMiz.jpgvshttp://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii164/Steesh07/TNA/BryanDanielson.jpg

In the main event, we saw The Miz take on and defeat his former mentor; Daniel Bryan but not with ease as the match went an astounding 18 minutes. The finish came as an uneasy Miz (due to the comments from Barrett earlier on) dropped Bryan onto the briefcase which was thrown in by Alex Riley with his Mic Check finishing move.
