larry_boy_44
I am playing as Memphis... and I beat UAB during the season, but when UAB and Memphis ended the season tied atop the C-USA Eastern division at 5-3, UAB went to the Conference Championship game... but shouldn't the first tie-breaker be head-to-head play in a 2-way tie? If I'm wrong about this, that's fine, I'm just curious as to what I'm missing...
larry_boy_44
nothing? Is this normal?? What exactly are the tie-breakers used for the divisions?
gopokes
I would think that you would be right but what were your overall records? This may be the problem if UAB had a better overall record, but I still think that head to head would certainly be the 1st tie breaker.
Cooleyvol
I think BB uses the polls to break these ties. This happened to me with Tennessee. We tied Georgia for the East crown, beat UGA during the regular season, but they went to the SEC championship. The only thing I could figure out was that they were ranked higher than Tennessee at the end of the regular season. I think Arlie said he was working on that as well.
