This truly feels like a heel centric card for me, meaning I think more heels will win on here. Let's see if I am right.

It's the match that has the whole wrestling world buzzing. A match that has been highly anticipated and has been hyped all across the world. And for the very first main event to the very first Wrestlemania and the very first main event on Pay Per View the hype sure seems to fit. Bob Backlund will defend his WWF World Heavyweight Championship against perhaps the strongest and undoubtedly largest opponent he's ever had to face, Andre The Giant. Backlund's impressive multi-year reign with the World Title might be facing the greatest danger of ending here as the champion takes on The Giant. Andre has told various news outlets that he's never felt better and feels he should be in top-form come Sunday. But Backlund has showcased his impressive form by defeating fellow technician Ray 'The Crippler' Stevens at In Your Neighborhood. It's sure to be a historic bout that will go down in history as one of the greatest championship battles the wrestling world has ever seen...but the question is, who walks out of The Garden with the title? Will it be the challenger Andre The Giant, or the champion Bob Backlund?

Superstar Billy Graham v Gorilla Monsoon

http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/SuperstarBillyGraham.jpg v http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/GorillaMonsoon.jpg

It's a grudge that's been brewing recent weeks, Superstar Billy Graham taking on a returning Gorilla Monsoon. It all started with Superstar making many bold statements regarding WWF Management's treatment of him, not to mention specifically Gorilla Monsoon's treatment of him. When Monsoon announced that Graham would have a match at Wrestlemania, Graham almost looked overjoyed that he would finally be on the card of such a prestigious event. But when it was revealed Gorilla Monsoon himself would be coming out of retirement one more time to take on Graham, the joy in Graham's face seemed to be non-existant. Although Graham has claimed recently that the fact he'll be taking on Monsoon doesn't distract him at all, and that he'll be fine for his match at Wrestlemania. Monsoon on the other hand hasn't revealed his training regime but assures everyone he'll be in top fighting form by this Sunday.

Jimmy Snuka v Bruno Sammartino

http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/JimmySnuka.jpg v http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/BrunoSammartino.jpg

In a match just recently made on WWF In Your Neighborhood, Jimmy Snuka will be taking on Bruno Sammartino in a match requested by Sammartino himself. Sammartino reportedly said when asking for his match that he was sick and tired of Captain Lou and his clients always sticking up for each other, influencing each match's result with their interference. Sammartino vowed to make sure that he puts an end to that by putting Snuka himself out of action. Meanwhile, Captain Lou has been acting completely oblivious to Sammartino's claims and promises that Snuka will quickly and efficiently put Sammartino away at Wrestlemania.

Don Muraco v Pedro Morales

http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/DonMuraco.jpg v http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/PedroMorales.jpg

After weeks of proclaiming that he was treated unfairly and was facing opponents below his skill level, Don 'The Magnificent One' Muraco seems to have gotten his wish as he takes on the Puerto Rican superstar Pedro Morales. Both competitors have reportedly been saying that they are absolutely ready to compete this Sunday at Wrestlemania. Morales specifically said that he has been paying absolutely no attention to Muraco's 'empty threats and hype' and that he's ready to finally shut up Muraco. Both competitors are looking for a victory here to propel them up the rankings on the WWF roster, and for both competitors...they're both definitely eyeing a title shot.

'WWF Intercontinental Championship'

Tony Atlas v Rocky Johnson ©

http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/TonyAtlas.jpg v http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/RockyJohnson.jpg

This month's battle for the Intercontinental Title pits two former 'Soul Patrol' members against each other as the ruthless Rocky Johnson defends against 'Mr. USA' Tony Atlas. Atlas has been rumored to be out for revenge for his partner's brutal attack against him two months ago and a victory and the taking of the Intercontinental Championship would be a great way to cap off Atlas's Wrestlemania. But the champion has some different plans of his own, he plans to show Atlas once and for all that he was the weak link in The Soul Patrol and he was the reason why the group had to disband.

'WWF World Tag Team Championships'

In the first title match of the night The Wild Samoans will defend their WWF World Tag Team Titles against their old rivals The Strongbows. In what might be the final meeting between the two teams, The Strongbows both look to reclaim the titles that they lost to Captain Lou's Wild Samoans in January. But will Captain Lou himself have any special tricks up his sleeve to make sure his clients walk out of Wrestlemania remaining the World Tag Team Champions?

Big John Studd v The Masked Superstar

http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/BigJohnStudd.jpg v http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/TheMaskedSuperstar.jpg

After losing to The Masked Superstar in a 6-man tag team match a couple of weeks ago, Big John Studd let it known to Superstar that the win was a mere fluke. Now at Wrestlemania Studd will try to prove to both Superstar and the world that he is a better grappler. However, the charismatic Superstar vowed that he'll claim the victory and go on to get a future WWF Intercontinental Championship shot. Big John Studd, The Masked Superstar, two great wrestlers in the WWF that are sure to put on a great bout for your viewing pleasure.

Austin Idol v Tito Santana

http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/AustinIdol.jpg v http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/TitoSantana.jpg

It sure has been a great past couple of WWF events for newcomer Austin Idol. Not suffering a single loss in any of his matches, all of them featuring the high flying youngster Tito Santana as his opponent. Idol's winning ways seem to have left Santana with a sour taste in his mouth as he feels that Idol has been cheating to win. Tito himself has re-focused his training efforts to completely fit Idol's style. So what kind of action will we see at Wrestlemania? A mostly grounded battle full of technical mastery or high flying action that Tito Santana has been utilizing for most of his career?

McMahon: Ladies and gentlemen it is finally here! Welcome to Wrestlemania! I'm Vince McMahon alongside Gorilla Monsoon and Lord Alfred Hayes and I'm telling you...this has to be the greatest spectacle on the face of the Earth!

Lord Alfred: Indeed it is McMahon I have never seen a more rowdy crowd than we have at hand tonight here in New York City.

McMahon: That's right we are live on Pay-Per-View here from the beautiful Madison Square Garden and we've got one great show for you tonight. Gorilla would you like to run down the card?

Monsoon: Absolutely, tonight we've got three titles on the line with Bob Backlund defending his WWF World Heavyweight Championship against Andre The Giant, Rocky 'The Soulman' Johnson defending the Intercontinental Title against his former tag partner Tony 'Mr. USA' Atlas, and The Wild Samoans defending the WWF World Tag Team Titles against The Strongbows.

McMahon: Not to mention that we have several big grudge matches scheduled to be held on the card tonight as well, with Bruno Sammartino taking on Jimmy Snuka, Don Muraco taking on Pedro Morales, and a 'special attraction' for the night...Gorilla Monsoon himself will be coming out of retirement to face Superstar Billy Graham. How're you feeling leading up to your match Gorilla?

Monsoon: Vince, I have never been more prepared for a match in my life, and tonight I will make sure to shut Superstar Billy Graham up once and for all.

McMahon: And it looks like the action is ready to get underway already as here comes Austin Idol for his match against Tito Santana!

Austin Idol v Tito Santana

http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/AustinIdol.jpg v http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/TitoSantana.jpg

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Wrestlemania. Damn, that felt good to type out, buckle up, here we go. Idol and Santana circle each other in the ring to a tremendous reaction from the crowd as they both lock up with Idol immediately sending Santana to the corner. Idol charges towards Santana but the hispanic star rolls out of the way and then sends a dropkick Idol's way, rolling him up early...1...2.Kick Out! Santana then goes on the offense delivering some of his standing offense of forearms, punches, and knees as he then flattens Idol with a snapmare and then a dropkick to his back. After working on Idol on the ground with some of his technical moves Santana then scales the turnbuckle as he then soaks in the reaction from the crowd...he dives off, but Idol dodges the Missile Dropkick attempt!

Idol then takes the initiative as he delivers several stiff kicks to Santana's back as he shouts to the crowd before picking up Santana and delivers three suplexes in a row, cover...1...2-Santana kicks out right at 2. Idol then picks up Santana and whips him across the ring, then pushing Santana into the air with a body drop. Idol then claps his hands to the disapproval of the crowd as he then locks in a rear headlock on his younger opponent. After several moments of having the hold locked in Santana starts to stand but Idol flattens him again with a Reverse DDT. Idol then goes back to work with some of his submission maneuvers, this time on the lower body of Santana. Santana then reaches the ropes for a rope break as ref Joey Marella gets Idol to break the hold.

Santana then starts to fight back with chop after chop after chop as he then rebounds off the ropes and goes for his Flying Elbow Smash but Idol ducks it and launches a dropkick, but Santana dodges. Santana then rebounds off the ropes again and hits a nice looking senton! Tito then starts dropping knees on his opponent as he then picks up Idol, nailing a Fisherman's Suplex! 1...2..Kick Out! Tito looks just about ready to end this one as he flattens Idol again with a facebuster, he then proceeds to head right to the turnbuckle again and ascends to the top of the ropes. Idol then groggily gets to his feet as Santana then launches off for a Missile Dropkick...but Idol dropkicks a diving Santana right in the chest! What timing and athleticism! Both competitors are down but Idol soon gets to his feet and then heads to the top rope himself...he nearly loses his balance but he launches off the top rope and hits a Flying Elbow Drop! 1...2...3!

Winner: Austin Idol in 11:50 - D+

McMahon: What an absolutely amazing high-flying bout between these two youngsters! Santana might have been on the losing end but I tell you, both of these two wrestlers have a future in this business.

Lord Alfred: Oh absolutely, I still can't believe Idol's amazing counter with a dropkick on a diving Santana.

Monsoon: It most certainly will be a move that will be remembered for many years to come...oh great, now look at this c0cky young brat.

Lord Alfred: C0cky young brat? Oh just let him have his fun would you Monsoon?

http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/AustinIdol.jpg

Idol is then seen celebrating his win, although a bit over-zealously, he scales each turnbuckle and frantically raises his arms in victory, pumping his fist in the air with a large smile seen on his face. He then exits the ring and stands on top of the announce table, much to the chagrin of Monsoon and McMahon but to the delight of Lord Alfred. He then goes into the crowd as some wrestling fans celebrate with him (even if they were booing him several minutes earlier) Idol then heads back up the ramp, still celebrating his victory.

C+ - 5 Mins

After Idol exits the ring, out from the back comes the crowd favorite The Masked Superstar. Vince McMahon is already in the ring with a microphone in hand as Superstar high fives several fans on his way down to the ring, he then enters the ring to more cheers from the fans.

http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/VinceMcMahon2.jpghttp://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/TheMaskedSuperstar.jpg

McMahon: Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls, I present to you The Masked Superstar! Superstar, tonight you take on Big John Studd, a man who's been saying your wins over him were mere flukes. How do you respond to this?

Masked Superstar: Flukes!? Ha! If anything it's a mere fluke that Big John Studd even made it to Wrestlemania tonight! Big John tonight I'm going to prove to you that you have the intelligence of an infant in order to challenge a wrestling as superior and as charismatic as The Masked Superstar himself. I will prove that out of the both of us, only one of us is strong enough to walk these hallowed grounds of Madison Square Garden. Only one of us can take the victory. And only one of us will go on to become a future champion in the World Wrestling Federation. And that man is none other than The Masked Superstar! Now get out here Big John, let's do this!

Big John Studd v The Masked Superstar

http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/BigJohnStudd.jpg v http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/TheMaskedSuperstar.jpg

The match immediately starts out with Big John slapping the spit out of The Masked Superstar's face, Superstar then takes a moment as he puts one finger up as if telling Studd to wait as he scratches his chin underneath his mask as if he's thinking about the slap. He then shrugs and then starts pounding away at Big John, forcing him into the turnbuckle as he continues to lay into Studd until Joey Marella forces him to back off. Superstar then raises his hands to signal that he's done attacking Big John in the corner as John then charges out of the corner but Superstar throws him shoulder-first into the ring post. Superstar then launches Studd across the ring with a german suplex. After several moments of playing to the crowd, Studd then stumbles over to Superstar as the masked hero goes to pick up Big John for a body slam but he slips out as he rolls up Superstar...1...2..Kick Out! Superstar sits up and looks surprised at Big John's wily tricks as he then throws a punch John's way but Studd ducks as he then lays out his opponent with a hanging reverse neckbreaker.

Studd then goes on the offense as he punches away at Studd while mounted on him but Superstar pushes him off, Studd then kicks an approaching Superstar in the stomach as he then lays him out with a Spinebuster, cover, 1...2..Kick Out! John then takes time to utilize his ground game with various submissions to the head/neck area of the masked hero. Studd then picks up Superstar and hits a crushing backbreaker on his opponent, counting again...1...2...Last Second Kick Out! Studd is now absolutely furious with Marella as he orders him to count faster. This allows Superstar to then roll up Studd...1...2...Last Second Kick Out!

Superstar then starts fighting back against his opponent with several slams and drops of his own, but not before delivering an impressive dropkick to Studd that keeps both competitors down for a bit of time. Superstar slowly gets to his feet first as he then whips Studd to a corner, Superstar raises an arm for the crowd as then charges towards Big John but Studd dodges, sending Superstar crashing into the turnbuckle. Superstar backs right into a Reverse Bearhug from Studd who applies as much pressure as he possibly can while making sure Superstar can't break out by wrapping his foot in the ropes for leverage...but Superstar refuses to tap! Marella then goes to check on Superstar and he is out!

Winner: Big John Studd in 10:55 - C

Lord Alfred: Using his leg for leverage, I love it!

McMahon: Oh c'mon! How could you possibly love that? He cheated to win and you know it!

Lord Alfred: All's fair in love and war...and I suppose this was war.

Monsoon: But nevertheless, Big John Studd comes out victorious and is on the road to a future title shot.

McMahon: I suppose...he's still a cheat though.

After the match the camera changes to a shot backstage of Captain Lou Albano standing in front of a Wrestlemania logo alongside his two clients, the WWF World Tag Team Champions The Wild Samoans.

http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/LouAlbano.jpghttp://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/Afa.jpghttp://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/Sika.jpg

Captain Lou: Well Strongbows, tonight's the night, the night where Afa & Sika destroy the team known as The Strongbows! You two really were fools for challenging Afa & Sika again to a rematch for their WWF World Tag Team Titles but at the end of the day, it's alright. Tonight you could consider this a 'mercy killing' because after tonight there won't be a team named The Strongbows as I ensure that the both of you will be stretchered out of here with no future left in the WWF. And as for you Bruno Sammartino, you're just as, if not even more foolish for challenging Jimmy 'Superfly' Snuka to a match tonight and Snuka's going to show to you why he's the most dominant wrestling superstar in the World Wrestling Federation. Now come on boys let's go, we've got some title belts to defend.

A - 4 Minutes

McMahon: Certainly a very c0cky bunch wouldn't you say Monsoon?

Monsoon: Indeed Vince, but hopefully Albano will have learned by now that being overconfident makes you more prone to mistakes in this business.

McMahon: Absolutely, we've got something special for you folks next, we have an exclusive sit-down interview with the WWF World Heavyweight Champion Bob Backlund from a couple of days ago.

A tape then begins to play of Vince McMahon introducing himself to the camera as he then introduces the WWF World Heavyweight Champion himself, Bob Backlund.

http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/VinceMcMahon2.jpghttp://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/BobBacklund.jpg

McMahon: First off Bob, I have to thank you for taking the time to do this interview.

Backlund: The pleasure's all mine.

McMahon: First, we all know that Andre The Giant is one of the most formidable wrestlers here in the WWF, how do you adjust your gameplan to handle Andre?

Backlund: Well let me tell you something Vince, I have been World Heavyweight Champion for five years now, and each title defense and each opponent I can only tell that I have been improving in my skills. There is no opponent in the world that can dethrone me as champion and at Wrestlemania it will be no different. Andre The Giant is just like any other opponent I have ever faced.

McMahon:But surely it's a bit different considering he's over 7 feet tall right?

Backlund: Like I've said McMahon, he's just like any other opponent. Do I have to change my game plan? Of course I do, just like I have to do with any opponent. Will I resort to technical moves? Probably not, but if I have to knock the beast down then I will do so.

McMahon: So it's pretty much going to be a David v Goliath battle?

Backlund: Absolutely Vince, and just as the old story goes, "David" will come out on top at Wrestlemania.

'WWF World Tag Team Titles'

The match gets off to a quick start with both Chief Jay and Afa trading blows left and right with no clear advantage being decided early on, until Afa rakes the eyes of the elder Strongbow. Afa whips Strongbow across the ring before hip tossing him right into a headlock. Afa then stomps away at his opponent for awhile before tagging to his partner...Sika tags in. Sika picks right up where Afa left off, applying holds and stomping away at Strongbow. Sika then picks Chief Jay up and goes for a Samoan Drop early but Jay slips out and chop blocks the Samoan down, getting to his corner and getting the tag. Jules Strongbow tags in.

Jules repeatedly clotheslines Sika down to the mat as he then hits an inverted atomic drop on Sika before rebounding off the ropes and hitting the Samoan with a crossbody! 1...2..Kick Out! Jules then stomps away at Sika before applying several submission holds for several moments...before he goes for his partner's Indian Deathlock! He nearly gets Sika into the hold but Sika powers out and floors Jules with a strong right hand, Sika makes the tag. Afa tags in.

Afa then takes time to try several big drops on Jules and several of them connect, he then scales the top rope to go for a diving headbutt as he then launches off but Jules rolls out of the way and gets the hot tag! Chief Jay Strongbow tags in. Chief Jay immediately then tries his offense again with several rights to the larger opponent before he tries a crossbody...but Afa catches him! Afa then hoists Jay up to his shoulders for a Samoan Drop but Strongbow slips out and rolls him up! 1...2...Last Second Kick Out! The fans are really into the match now as both opponents get to their feet as they start hammering away at each other.

Captain Lou in the meantime goes over to the opponent's corner as he shouts some abuse at Jules Strongbow, who doesn't pay attention to him. The two competitors are still trading blows in the ring until Afa rakes Jay's eyes again...Afa then tags to his partner, who's on the top rope. Sika tags in. Sika then dives off the top rope and hits a diving headbutt on Chief Jay! Captain Lou meanwhile holds down Jules' legs to prevent him from entering the ring as Sika puts Jules on his shoulders and drives him to the mat with a Samoan Drop! Cover, 1...2...3! The Samoans retain!

Winners and STILL WWF World Tag Team Champions: The Wild Samoans in 10:37 - C+

Lord Alfred: You see? I told you they would retain!

McMahon: Yes but as usual, in an ugly fashion.

Lord Alfred: A title defense is a title defense McMahon, no matter how you retain.

McMahon: If Captain Lou had any sort of class, he wouldn't have tried to interfere at all.

After the match and all of it's competitors clear the ring, 'Classy' Freddie Blassie and his client George 'The Animal' Steele make their way down to the ring. Blassie enters the ring as does Steele as Blassie has a microphone in hand.

http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/FreddieBlassie.jpghttp://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/GeorgeSteele-1.jpg

Blassie: Ladies and gentlemen you are looking at the next WWF Intercontinental Champion George 'The Animal' Steele! *boos* Shut up! Regardless of who wins tonight, Tony Atlas or Rocky Johnson, Steele has won a battle royal placing him as the #1 Contender for the Intercontinental Title and he already knows when he wants his title shot. At the Supershow in April! Yes that's right! Steele's going to prove once again just why he's the most dangerous man in the World Wrestling Federation today!

Steele's attention suddenly shifts from standing in the ring to a nearby turnbuckle.

Blassie: You will all regret the day when The Anim-hey, what are you doing!? Get back here and pay attention damn it!

Steele's attention snaps back to Blassie.

Blassie: As I was saying, you will all regret the day when The Animal becomes the Intercontinental Champion! From there he will soon go on to take the company by storm again and bring a new age of-where the hell are you going!?

Steele, angered that he can't eat his favorite delicacy (turnbuckle) leaves the ring as his attention is suddenly averted to a camera man at ringside.

Blassie: George...don't you even think about it.

Steele, not paying attention to Blassie's demands, starts chasing the cameraman around the ring. Who drops the camera as he then heads up the ramp.

Blassie: Hey where the hell are you going!?

Right now'd be a perfect time to cue the Benny Hill theme as it's a cameraman running from George Steele who's running from Blassie. The trio then runs towards the stage entrance as the crowd (specifically the children in attendance) laugh it up.

B - 10 Minutes

McMahon: Well certainly 'Classy' Blassie's going to have to have a tighter leash on Steele if he wants to take the WWF Intercontinental Title away from either Atlas or Johnson next month.

Monsoon: I don't think The Animal is...how should I put it? Trainable?

'WWF Intercontinental Championship'

Tony Atlas v Rocky Johnson ©

http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w15/TheWho87EWR/Titles/EOAE/WWF_Intercontinental9.jpg

http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/TonyAtlas.jpg v http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/RockyJohnson.jpg

The match starts off with both opponents circling each other before they lockup, with no clear advantage being shown, both opponents then push each other away before locking up again. This time Johnson takes the advantage as he pulls his former partner into a side headlock and starts punching Atlas in the head, but Atlas reverse suplexes 'The Soulman' as he then goes on the offense. Working on knee drops, stomps, and even a leg drop. After waiting for his opponent to stand, Atlas charges at his opponent who then ducks a shoulder tackle attempt, causing Atlas to charge face first into a nearby corner. Johnson then hits a reverse suplex of his own, going on the offense.

The Soulman tries several submission maneuvers specifically on the powerful legs of 'Mr. USA', after several holds both opponents are back up as Johnson forces Atlas into a corner with several backhand chops. Johnson then whips Atlas across the ring and then hits a big splash in the corner, before dropping Atlas with a running bulldog. Cover, 1...2..Atlas throws Johnson off of him! Arnold Skaaland at ringside tries to get the crowd into the match as they start cheering for Atlas to get to his feet. The cheers seem to be working as Atlas then shrugs off several punches by Johnson as he then headbutts the champion to the mat.

Atlas then rebounds off the ropes and hits a leg drop before soaking in the 'USA' chants as he then signals he's ready to put this one away. Johnson gets to his feet as Atlas then grabs him and picks him up for a Gorilla Press Slam! But Johnson slips out and turns Atlas around, hitting him with three quick left jabs and then a powerful right hook and Atlas is down! Johnson then pins his former partner again, 1...2...Atlas kicks out at the last second! The fans are really cheering for Atlas again as he then sits up and points his finger at Johnson, then proceeding to wag it. Johnson then tries his punch combo again as Atlas then grabs one of Johnson's fists and then throws it down, proceeding to headbutt Johnson again. Johnson slowly gets back to his feet as the 'USA' chants intensify as Atlas then picks up Johnson for his Gorilla Press Slam as he then sends 'The Soulman' crashing to the mat! Atlas with the pin, 1...2...3! We have a new champion!

Winner and NEW Intercontinental Champion: Tony Atlas in 12:20 - C

McMahon: And 'Mr. USA' has done it! We have a new Intercontinental Champion!

Monsoon: He's finally done it! He's both managed to beat his former partner Rocky Johnson but he's also become the new champion as well!

Lord Alfred: I have to admit, it was a really great bout.

McMahon: What a victory for Atlas, I can't wait to see what his future holds here in the WWF.

Monsoon: Same can be said for myself Vince, now if you excuse me...

Lord Alfred: Where are you going?

Monsoon: I have a match to get ready for.

After the match Arnold Skaaland enters the ring and then hands the WWF Intercontinental Title to the new champion, he then proceeds to raise Atlas' arm in victory as the crowd roars in approval. Johnson slowly gets to his feet as Atlas then goes over to his former partner and extends his hand. Johnson looks apprehensive towards shaking Atlas' hand but he then accepts the handshake as the crowd approves of the mutual respect shown by both competitors. Could this be a sign of a Soul Patrol reunion?

Don Muraco v Pedro Morales

http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/DonMuraco.jpg v http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/PedroMorales.jpg

The match immediately begins with Morales throwing lefts and rights at the loud-mouth Muraco, backing him up into the corner as Muraco then falls to his knees, with Morales continuing to then stomp away at Muraco. Dave Hebner then orders Morales to back off as he then complies, but this allows Muraco to charge out of the corner and do the same type of offense on Morales that he was just a victim to. Muraco then takes time to gloat to the fans when Hebner forces him away from his opponent. Both competitors then lock up again in the center of the ring with Morales taking the advantage again, delivering a crushing backbreaker to Muraco before stomping away viciously at his opponent. Morales then takes time to catch his breath as he then goes for another stomp but Muraco rolls away in time out of the ring. After going to an 8-count, Muraco then re-enters the ring to Morales immediately starting to punch away at him again. This time Muraco shoves Morales away as he approaches him in the corner but Morales hits him with a boot to the face, this match is just getting downright vicious. Morales then charges out of the corner and spears Muraco to the mat before following up with some elbow drops as he then goes for a figure-four. Muraco then sits up after being subjected to the hold as he hits a stiff chop to Morales' chest that leaves the former World Champ reeling.

Muraco then goes on the offense with several vicious stomps of his own before trying some submission maneuvers on Morales. Muraco then hits a big knee drop as he then locks in some more submissions on his opponent. Morales seems to be powering out of the holds early but Muraco then hits a standing cutter that grounds Pedro yet again. Muraco continues his submission hold tactic on Pedro to slow down the match a little bit until he then stands, as does Pedro. Muraco then is visibly shown speaking to Morales with a nasty look on his face as he then slaps Pedro right across the face. Muraco then drives Morales' headfirst to the mat again with a DDT as he goes for the pin, 1...2..Kick Out! Muraco then gets in Hebner's face as Morales quickly recovers. Morales then rolls up Muraco, 1...2...Last Second Kick Out!

Morales is quickly up to his feet as Muraco sits up with a surprised and enraged look on his face, the two competitors stand as they immediately start trading blows again, the both of them getting dangerously close to the ropes. After stepping back a little bit Muraco then charges at Morales with a clothesline, sending both men over the top rope! The brawl then continues on the outside as Hebner starts a 10-count, both men then re-enter the ring by eight as Morales then ducks another punch from Muraco as he then plants Muraco to the mat with a neckbreaker. Morales then drapes an arm over Muraco, 1...2.Kick Out! Morales the realizes he has to do a little bit more damage before putting Muraco away once and for all. Morales then picks up Muraco and goes for a backbreaker but Muraco manages to wrap his legs around Morales and does a (primitive) looking headscissors throw!

Muraco then gets to his feet as he then chokes Morales on the second rope before breaking the hold to comply with Hebner's demand, after staring a hole through Hebner's head Muraco then throws Morales to the mat as he then ascends to the top rope, Muraco then leaps off hitting Morales with a diving headbutt! Muraco then pins Morales but not before putting his legs on the ropes for leverage, 1...2...3!

Winner: Don Muraco in 13:56 - B

McMahon: And an absolute brawl between these two competitors ends with Muraco stealing the win!

Lord Alfred: Oh I wouldn't call it stealing McMahon, I'd say...taking the victory that was already his.

McMahon: The match could have went either way, but a win here certainly shakes up the power rankings in the WWF roster-Oh come on is this really necessary?

http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/DonMuraco.jpghttp://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/PedroMorales.jpg

According to Don Muraco, yes Vince, why yes it is. Muraco then immediately kicks a groggy Morales back to the mat before heading to the top rope again, launching off for another diving headbutt, and it connects! The boos rain down heavily on Muraco who just soaks it in as then picks up Morales to inflict even more physical punishment, he then drops Morales with a Muraco Hammer before leaving the ring to an even greater chorus of boos.

We're then taken to a backstage shot of Gorilla Monsoon in his own locker room, stretching out before his return he then looks up to the camera and begins to speak.

http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/GorillaMonsoon.jpg

Monsoon: Funny how things can change in one year eh Superstar? One year ago I wrestled my final match here in the WWF. But after you spent all of your time bad-mouthing the company that's helped you throughout your entire career I decided that enough was enough. This lunacy ends tonight. You want to turn your back on the fans that made your career? You want to turn your back on the fans that helped you sell out arenas night after night? You disgust me Superstar, you're the exact opposite of what a wrestler in the World Wrestling Federation should represent. And tonight, I may be a little rusty after being out of action for so long but I vow to you that I will show you why I was the 'World's Best' during the heyday of my career. People told me I was crazy, people told me I was insane for accepting the offer to fight you, but at the end of the day...I'm fighting for the honor of the McMahons, I'm fighting for the honor of the WWF, and most of all, I'm fighting for the honor of the wrestling fans that made you a household name. So tonight Superstar, I will make you regret ever having to try and tarnish the good name of professional wrestling.

B+ - 3 Minutes

McMahon: Good! I hope Monsoon teaches Superstar the lesson he's had coming to him for the past several months!

Jimmy Snuka v Bruno Sammartino

http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/JimmySnuka.jpg v http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/BrunoSammartino.jpg

The match starts off with Captain Lou trying to distract Sammartino early but he pays no attention to him, but somehow Snuka manages to sneak in the first blow anyways as the match gets underway. Snuka forces Sammartino back a little bit but Sammartino pushes him away. Bruno then hits several headbutts to Snuka as he then tosses him across the ring. Snuka then tries to fight back as Sammartino grabs him again but it doesn't faze the Italian superstar as he hip tosses Snuka again, following it up with a running knee drop. Sammartino then picks up Snuka and places him on his shoulders, dropping him with a Samoan Drop. Sammartino goes for the pin, 1...2..Kick Out! Both wrestlers slowly get to their feet as both start trading backhand chops with each other, until Snuka knees Sammartino in the gut.

Snuka then takes advantage planting Sammartino with a DDT, as he then scales the rope early looking for a Superfly Splash, but Sammartino is up...Snuka then leaps off the top rope hitting a flying crossbody for a pin! 1...2..Kick Out! Captain Lou looks enraged that his client's high-flying maneuver couldn't put the match away but Snuka immediately goes back to work on Sammartino with a couple knee drops. Snuka then picks up Sammartino for another DDT but Sammartino manages to counter into a Northern Lights Suplex with a pin! 1...2...Snuka just manages to get a shoulder up!

Sammartino then goes back on the attack with various punches as he then locks in an armlock on Snuka, before throwing him to the mat and changing it up to an armbar. Snuka manages to break the hold as both men get to their feet again with Snuka leaping up for a dropkick, but Sammartino pushes the legs of his opponent away as he then slides next to him for a crossface hold. Snuka seems to be visibly tiring from the hold as referee Dick Woehrle checks on Snuka as Captain Lou gets up on the apron again to distract the ref. It works as Woehrle has his back turned to Snuka as 'Superfly' is tapping out! Sammartino wonders why the bell hasn't been rung and turns around to see Woehrle ordering Albano off the apron as Sammartino makes his way over to Woehrle...but Snuka crawls over and manages to low blow Sammartino!

Both competitors are down as Woerhle turns around to see both wrestlers laid out...he starts to count to 10 to see if either man can respond as Snuka gets to his feet and staggers around by 8. Snuka then scales the turnbuckle much to Albano's delight as he then stands, raises his arms, and leaps off the top rope connecting with a Superfly Splash! 1...2...3!

Winner: Jimmy Snuka in 12:34 - C+

McMahon: And yet again, Captain Lou cheats to hand his clients another victory.

Lord Alfred: As I've always said McMahon, as long as you get the end result you desired, then you've done your job.

McMahon: Done your job? How about the days of when you'd win your matches cleanly?

Lord Alfred: Like I said, win's a win.

After the match, Joey Marella enters the ring to get ready to officiate his father's match against Superstar Billy Graham. Graham then makes his way down to the ring.

http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/SuperstarBillyGraham.jpghttp://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/JoeyMarella.jpg

But suddenly, Superstar snaps as he then plants a fist right into Marella's jaw, he then proceeds to beat Marella viciously in the center of the ring. Finally picking him up and delivering a Knife Edge Chop to Marella. EMTs then rush down to the ring to pick up Marella's unconscious body as Gorilla Monsoon comes running down to the ring.

Superstar Billy Graham v Gorilla Monsoon

http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/SuperstarBillyGraham.jpg v http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/GorillaMonsoon.jpg

Graham immediately starts throwing lefts and rights at Graham as ref Dave Hebner enters the ring, Graham then drops Monsoon with a big right but the veteran is quickly back to his feet, where he blocks a punch attempt and then headbutts Graham down to the mat! Monsoon then takes a knee next to Graham as he starts punching away at the face of Superstar, trying to exact revenge for the attack on his son. Monsoon is then forced to get off of Graham as he then rebounds off the ropes and hits a running shoulder tackle on Superstar. He then sits Graham up and locks in his dreaded nerve hold on Graham! The fans take delight in watching Superstar writhe in pain as he then manages to poke Monsoon in the eye, causing him to reel back in pain.

Graham then immediately gets up and levels Monsoon with a crushing big boot, as he then takes a knee next to Monsoon and starts punching away at him, narrowly DQ'ing himself as he failed to listen to Hebner's request to back away. Monsoon then stands as Graham then throws him down to the mat and goes back to punching him, he then bounces off the ropes and hits a knee drop. Superstar follows it up with several stomps as he then looks to the outside by the announce table, he then leaves the ring and grabs a steel chair but he's immediately halted by Dave Hebner who orders Graham to put down the chair, Hebner is immediately shoved to the mat by Graham who then smashes the chair against a rising Monsoon. He then repeatedly bashes the steel against Monsoon's skull as Hebner calls for the bell. After turning Monsoon into a bruised and beaten pulp, EMTs come from the back and stretcher out Monsoon to join his son.

Winner by DQ: Gorilla Monsoon in 7:24 - C-

McMahon: Damn it! Superstar Billy Graham just nearly killed Gorilla! Someone restrain this man!

Lord Alfred: What a despicable act, I can't even believe what I've just seen.

McMahon: Graham just nearly decapitated Gorilla and his son Joey Marella!? How can he be proud of this?! He's a monster!

A video then plays for the upcoming contest for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship featuring both the challenger Andre The Giant and the champion Bob Backlund. Various highlights include various title defenses from Backlund's 5-year title reign, many of Andre The Giant's past victories, and highlights from other past world champions including Buddy Rogers and Bruno Sammartino. The video then concludes with a graphic saying, Backlund v Andre - The Showdown Is Next!

http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/AndretheGiant2.jpg v http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/BobBacklund.jpg

The match opens with Bob Backlund immediately extending a hand to Andre as Andre just stares at the hand, crowd brimming with anticipation if he'll accept or not. Andre looks around at the crowd and then shakes Backlund's hand real quick as both competitors then lock up with Andre immediately throwing Backlund across the ring. Backlund looks up, and being the resilient champion that he is he approaches Andre again only to be thrown across the ring again. Backlund then charges across the ring one final time only to run into a big boot from Andre. Andre then runs across the ring and goes for a leg drop early but Backlund just manages to roll out of the way as the whole arena thunders from the impact.

Backlund is then up and waits for Andre to stand as he runs towards the challenger going for a Thesz Press, but he's caught! Andre then pushes Backlund back down to the ground as the champion tries a clothesline but it doesn't even faze Andre! Andre then grabs Backlund by the head and throws him into the corner, he then follows Backlund and goes for a splash in the corner but the champion rolls out of the way! Backlund then dropkicks Andre in the back as he then hits several punches on the Giant from the rear. Andre then backs away to the center of the ring as Backlund scales the top rope, Backlund leaps off the top for a flying crossbody but he's caught! And is slammed down to the mat! Andre tries a pin, 1...2..Backlund manages to get a shoulder up!

Andre then takes the time to stomp on Backlund, but the champion manages to dodge a boot and is able to scramble away from The Giant. Andre then tries to grab Backlund and just manages to grab a hold of the champ, as he then hoists Backlund at least nine feet into the air but the champ manages to slip out although the fall from nine feet leaves him a bit jelly-legged. Backlund then kicks at the back of Andre's knee as he gets Andre down to one knee as he then rebounds off the ropes and goes for a clothesline but The Giant punches Backlund square in the jaw! Andre puts his foot on Backlund's chest, 1...2..Backlund kicks out again! This time Andre goes to pick up Backlund but the champion manages to grab Andre's arm and hangs on to it for an armbar! Although, it is a rather unorthodox-looking maneuver.

Andre tries to stand and to grab his arm back but Backlund won't let the arm go, Buddy Rogers looks concerned from ringside as Andre looks to be in some pain from the submission maneuver, but Andre then picks up the champion and then slams him down to the mat with a tremendous echo booming around the arena. Andre then goes for a Butt Drop early but Backlund slips out of the ring again as Rogers seems a bit irate at the move. But the champion certainly isn't a dumb one and knows how to defend his title. Backlund slides back into the ring and goes to pounce on Andre again but The Giant dodges the attack sending the champ into the corner, Andre then picks up Backlund and Gorilla Press Slams him! Cover, 1...2...Backlund just hangs on by the skin of his teeth!

Andre doesn't get in ref Dick Woehrle's face or anything but he goes straight back to business as he then stomps away at the champion some more, who fights his way back to his feet. Backlund throws punches left and right to counter Andre who is backed up a little bit, Backlund quickly gets on the top rope and goes for a flying shoulder block but Andre catches him in mid-air and delivers a facebuster! This has to be it...1...2...Backlund just manages to kick out yet again! Andre still doesn't show any frustration whatsoever as he then picks up Backlund and delivers several stiff (and loud) knife edge chops. Backlund seems to be reeling from the chops as he then throws some punches to Andre which seem to be backing him up. Backlund then ducks under a clothesline attempt from Andre as he then hits a chop block, weakening one knee, he then does the same to the other knee as The Immovable Object is losing his balance! Backlund then climbs the top rope...Backlund leaps off with a flying shoulder tackle...AND ANDRE THE GIANT HAS FALLEN TO THE GROUND!!!

The crowd roars at this as the unthinkable has just occured here at Madison Square Garden! Backlund then goes for a pin, 1...2...Andre miraculously kicks out! Backlund immediately wastes no time and goes for the Crossface Chickenwing and it's in! Backlund's lethal move is in and it seems to be taking it's toll as Buddy Rogers can't believe what he's seeing! After several moments of Andre yelling in pain he finally seems to muster up the strength to get moving to his feet as he then throws Backlund off of him, but Backlund comes right back and dropkicks Andre back down to the mat, Backlund then runs across the ropes as he goes for a splash and it connects! Cover, 1...2...Andre kicks out yet again! Backlund then goes up top as he realizes he has to go for a big splash this time as he then goes up on top as he then leaps off the top rope connecting with a big splash from the top rope! Cover! 1...2...Andre tosses Backlund out of the ring!

The fans can't believe what they've seen and quite frankly, neither can Vince and Lord Alfred, and most of all, neither can the World Champion who re-enters the ring and then kicks Andre in the gut, but Andre headbutts the champion down to the mat as he then rebounds off the ropes and big boots Backlund back down to the roar of the crowd, Andre the rebounds off the ropes one more time and delivers his signature Butt Drop on Backlund! Cover, 1...2...3! The reign is over and the undefeated streak continues!

Winner and NEW WWF World Heavyweight Champion: Andre the Giant in 25:02 - B+

McMahon: And he's done it! The Immovable Object Andre The Giant has done it! We have a new WWF World Heavyweight Champion!

Lord Alfred: That had to have been one of the greatest matches I've ever seen here in the World Wrestling Federation!

McMahon: It certainly has been indeed, nearly a half hour of great wrestling action and I'm sure that everyone at home is just as excited as we are at the result! The Immovable Object has usurped Bob Backlund to become the new Champion!

Lord Alfred: Oh but wait, I don't think we're done here yet.

I thought it was a great show, as a reader I am not a huge fan of match write-ups (In any diary.) but you write enjoyable matches that are not boring to read.

What I am is a huge fan of promos and angles and you did a great job with those as well. I really liked the George Steele one and I pictured it happening in real life.

Also, I thought you did a great job with Superstar attacking Joey Marella prior to his match against Gorilla. If I remember correctly they never acknowledged them being father and son in real life but I am glad you put it out there as it helped to make the match seem even more important.

WWF Championship Wrestling

Scheduled to be taped at the Spartanburg Auditorium in Spartanburg, SC.

Jimmy Snuka v Pedro Morales

In the main event for WWF Championship Wrestling this week, Jimmy Snuka will be taking on Pedro Morales in what's sure to be an absolutely great contest that would have been fitting on the card for Wrestlemania. Snuka, after defeating Bruno Sammartino at Wrestlemania, looks to propel himself further up the reaches of the card while Morales looks to get himself back into top form after suffering a loss at the hands of Don Muraco this past Sunday. With Captain Lou at ringside, Snuka seems to be a bit overconfident that he'll find himself with his arm being raised in victory this Tuesday but will Morales be able to take advantage of that overconfidence? Or will The Superfly be able to find victory yet again?

Bob Backlund v Ray Stevens

http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/BobBacklund.jpg v http://i721.photobucket.com/albums/ww215/WCW_legacy/RayStevens.jpg

Two days after losing his WWF World Heavyweight Title to Andre The Giant at Wrestlemania, Bob Backlund finds himself in action in a rematch from his match at In Your Neighborhood last week, taking on fellow submission artist Ray Stevens. Backlund has been overheard backstage saying that he wants to utilize his rematch clause for next month's big show to try and regain his World Heavyweight Title that he's held for so long but now that he's no longer champion, he's going to have to start back over from the bottom again. And now that we have a new champion, we're going to also have to find a new #1 Contender, and Stevens just might be able to fill that role if he manages to pull out a victory against Backlund this week on WWF Championship Wrestling. But will he be able to defeat Backlund? Tune in to WWF Championship Wrestling to find out.

Mr. Fuji & Tiger Chung Lee v Tito Santana & The Masked Superstar

In a match that is sure to shake up the rankings in the tag team division in the WWF, Mr. Fuji & Tiger Chung Lee take on Tito Santana & The Masked Superstar in tag action this week on WWF Championship Wrestling. Both of these teams, one already an established team while the other a new upstart team both look to gain some ground on the tag division in order to possibly receive a shot at next month's Big Show. Fuji & Lee both will utilize their styles in the martial arts to try and get ahead while Santana & Superstar both have their unique styles that we'll find out if they complement each other or completely throw each other off. Who will prevail? Well you're going to have tune in and find out aren't you?

George Steele v Tony Garea

Two days removed from Wrestlemania, the new #1 Contender to the Intercontinental Championship George 'The Animal' Steele finds himself in action against an old foe in the shape of Tony Garea. Freddie Blassie has promised that his client will become more focused and will usher in a new era of terror in the WWF. And a win over Tony Garea could certainly send him on his way towards a possible Intercontinental Title reign starting at April's Big Show. Meanwhile, Tony Garea got his first win in a pre-show event last week giving him his first win in a while, can this be the jumpstart of a new Tony Garea?

Prediction Key

Jimmy Snuka v Pedro Morales

Bob Backlund v Ray Stevens

Mr. Fuji & Tiger Chung Lee v Tito Santana & The Masked Superstar

George Steele v Tony Garea

Jimmy Snuka v Pedro Morales

Pedro days as a main event wrestler seem to be numbered in my opinion.

Bob Backlund v Ray Stevens

Mr. Fuji & Tiger Chung Lee v Tito Santana & The Masked Superstar

This is one of those matches where I have no clue, so I just went with HindSightBeyondSight's pick.

George Steele v Tony Garea

The great Garea is nothing more than a jobber at this point.
