WWE 2006 - The Future of WWE

http://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/PPVs/WWE01.jpg

-----Currently my game is in May 2006, and the WWE is on the road to the next PPV Judgment Day. As of right now, I have no plans to resurrect ECW or to continue the tradition of One Night Stand (that being said if my readers want to see one, I may have the ‘06 version of ONS). I will be giving you a short description of what has happened from New Year’s Revolution and to my previous PPV, Backlash. I also wanted to mention that I messed up Batista‘s injury and he came back a couple months sooner than he did in real life. Oh well right? And there are no more brand specifics PPVs post WM 22-----

The Story thus far…..

January 2006

January began with a bang for the WWE, after successful title defense in the Elimination Chamber Match, John Cena stood in the ring bloody and battered. Seconds later, Mr. McMahon announced that Edge would be cashing in his Money in the Bank contract and within minutes, he defeated Cena to become the new WWE Champion! Three weeks later Cena got his rematch against Edge, but once again the ‘Rated R’ Superstar was able to weasel out another Championship victory. On the SmackDown! Side of the WWE, Batista was forced to vacate the World Heavyweight Title and a 20 Man Battle Royal was set in place. Randy Orton outlasted the other 19 men to win the vacant World Title. At the Royal Rumble Orton defeated Bobby Lashley in a hard hitting match to retain the title. The traditional main event for the Royal Rumble saw the beginning of the Kurt Angle/Undertaker feud, and RAW’s Rob Van Dam enter the Rumble in at #11, and last over 45 minutes and finally eliminating Triple H to earn a title shot of his choosing at Wrestlemania 22!

February and March 2006

The Road to Wrestlemania 22 was beginning to become clearer. Rob Van Dam made the switch to SmackDown! to challenge the World Heavyweight Champion at Wrestlemania. He put his title shot on the line at No Way Out against Kurt Angle, and was successful in defending his shot. Randy Orton defended his World Title against the Undertaker. His defense was successful, but not due to controversy, thanks to the interference from Kurt Angle. With Van Dam and Orton setting up the main event, Undertaker was challenged by Kurt Angle, to put his 13-0 streak on the line. RAW set up a tournament to determine who would challenge WWE Champion Edge for the RAW main event of Wrestlemania 22. After 5 weeks of matches, Triple H and John Cena were the final two and met in the main event of RAW. Before a winner could be decided, Edge made himself known and dropped both of the men with vicious chair shots. It was the next week that a Triple Threat Match for the WWE Championship was set up for Wrestlemania 22. Along side of the 3-Way match, Shawn Michaels was scheduled to face Vince McMahon in a Street Fight, to hopefully put to bed a horrid few months of hell from the McMahon family.

-Chris Beniot defended his United States Title against Booker T, JBL and Fit Finlay

-Bobby Lashley won the 2006 Money in the Bank Ladder Match

-Chris Master and Carlito defeated Kane and The Big Show to win the World Tag Titles

-Mickie James defeated Trish Stratus to win the WWE Women’s Title

-The Undertaker took his streak to 14-0 in the match of the night against Kurt Angle

-Edge retained the WWE Title over Triple H and John Cena

-Shawn Michaels defeated Vince McMahon in a Street Fight, despite interference from Tyson Tomko

-Rob Van Dam defeated Randy Orton to capture the World Heavyweight Title

Backlash 2006

Following his defeat at Wrestlemania, Orton used his rematch clause to challenge RVD for the World Title. Van Dam accepted and an Extreme Rules Steel Cage Match was set up. And days after winning the World Title, RVD and Rey Mysterio won their second WWE Tag Team Championship by beating MnM. Kurt Angle challenged the Undertaker to a rematch, while JBL won a match against US Champion Chris Beniot. On RAW, Triple H and John Cena continued to chase after WWE Champion Edge, Kane and the Big Show had a falling out, Tyson Tomko battled Shelton Benjamin for the Intercontinental Championship, but the feud that dominated RAW was HBK/Vince McMahon. The biggest questions leading into Backlash was this…why was Shane Douglas in the WWE? And even bigger question was, why was Kevin Nash back home as well? It set up an interested match at Backlash between Nash and HBK vs. Tomko and Shane Douglas.

Results from Backlash 2006

The pre-show of Backlash saw new signings America’s Most Wanted defeat the Heartthrobs in a less than stellar but decent way to kick start the show.

Main Card

Loser Leaves RAW Match - Kane vs. The Big Show

http://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/RAW/Kane.jpghttp://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/RAW/Big_Show.jpg

The former World Tag Team Champions kicked off the night. The two big men took it to each other in a stiff and hard hitting contest, that finished with Kane finishing off the Big Show with two massive Chokeslams. After the match had finished the Big Show attacked Kane with a steel chair, and ended the attack with a Chokeslam through the Spanish Announce table.

WWE United States Title Match - Chris Beniot © vs. John Bradshaw Layfield

http://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/Smackdown/ChrisBenoit2.jpghttp://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/Belts/wweus.jpghttp://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/Smackdown/JBLNew.jpg

The US Champion dominated the early portions of the match with his great technical ability, only to be slowed down by the shear power of JBL. Beniot made a great effort to fight back against his much stronger challenger. He caught JBL in his vintage rolling German Suplexes. After the first three, Beniot held on and went for more. Bradshaw, seeing an opportunity for a cheap win, shoved the referee out of the way and low blowed Beniot. This allowed JBL to connect with the Clothesline From Hell and follow up with a three count to capture the United States Championship.

World Tag Team Title Match - Chris Masters and Carlito © vs. Shelton Benjamin and Eugene

http://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/RAW/ChrisMordetzky.jpghttp://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/RAW/CarlitoAAF3.jpghttp://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/Belts/wwetag.jpghttp://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/RAW/SheltonBenjamin8.jpghttp://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/RAW/Eugene5-1.jpg

The makeshift tandem of Benjamin and Eugene earned this title shot by defeating the champions in a non-title match the week before on RAW. The athleticism of Benjamin wasn’t enough to help his team though, the power of Masters and the craftiness of Carlito was enough to Carlito pin Eugene after a shot from one of the Tag Titles.

Booker T and Fit Finlay vs. Bobby Lashley and Rey Mysterio

http://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/Smackdown/BookerT10.jpghttp://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/Smackdown/Finlay09.jpghttp://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/Smackdown/BobbyLashley19.jpghttp://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/Smackdown/ReyMysterio3.jpg

The Money in the Bank winner and one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions teamed up to take on Booker T and the fighting Irishman Finlay. In the beginning, the experience of Booker T and Finlay proved to be overwhelming their opponents, but in the end Bobby Lashley helped pick up the victory with a Dominator on Finlay.

Shawn Michaels and Kevin Nash vs. Tyson Tomko and Shane Douglas w/ The McMahons

http://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/RAW/ShawnMichaels15.jpghttp://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/RAW/KevinNash22.jpghttp://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/RAW/Tomko5.jpghttp://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/RAW/ShaneDouglas.jpg

This was arguably the most anticipated match of the evening, with Nash and Michaels teaming up once again, just like they did in the mid 90s, over 10 years ago. It was as if they had never missed a beat and began to dominate the early portions of the match. However, midway through the match, Vince and Shane began to get involved, only to be given Sweet Chin Music from HBK. Just when it looked like HBK and Nash were going to win the match, Nash shockingly turned on his partner, revealing his alignment with Tomko, Douglas, and the McMahons! Nash gave Michaels 3 Jackknife Powerbombs, allowing Shane Douglas to pick up the pin fall. Vince got in the ring and began to undo his suit coat to reveal the Black and White Colors of the n.W.o.! Just like it had done almost 10 years ago, trash began to liter the ring as HBK was helped to the back.

Wrestlemania 22 Rematch - Kurt Angle vs. The Undertaker

http://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/RAW/KurtAngle3.jpghttp://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/Smackdown/Undertaker43.jpg

Just like they had done in Chicago earlier in the month, Taker and Angle tore the house down with yet another classic match! But once again the Deadman prevailed, but not after Angle had kicked out of the Last Ride, and almost made The Undertaker tap out on numerous occasions. The Undertaker finally did away with Angle after a vicious Tombstone Piledriver to the WWE’s only Olympic Gold Medalist.

Winner faces Edge - Triple H vs. John Cena

http://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/RAW/TripleHDX2.jpghttp://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/RAW/JohnCena4.jpg

The Game and The Champ stood across the ring, knowing that they were a 3 count away from another shot against the WWE Champion. Triple H was able to out wrestle and over power Cena for most of the match, but Cena’s heart and desire to win back the WWE Title kept him in the match, and also saw him bloody up Triple H at one point during the contest. Cena was poised to win the match, but Triple H kicked out of 2 F-Us, and even battled back from the STFU. Cena, with a bewildered look on his face, went for another F-U and was met with a thunderous Pedigree from the Cerebral Assassin. HHH did not stop there and gave Cena a second Pedigree and covered him for the 3 count. Hunter’s celebrations were short lived though…

WWE Title Match - Edge © w/ Lita vs. Triple H

http://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/RAW/EdgeRatedR.jpghttp://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/Belts/wweratedr2.jpghttp://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/RAW/TripleHDX2.jpg

Edge immediately stormed the ring, and looked to take the fight to Triple H and end the match early. Cena, who had just been defeated, stayed at ringside to cheer on Triple H, and hope to see the WWE Title change hands at Backlash. Edge, not surprisingly, dominated many portions of the match but let his cocky attitude get the best of him. After a nonchalant pin attempt, Edge became irate and knocked down referee Mike Chioda. Cena stormed into the ring and delivered an F-U to Edge, and draped HHH’s body on the Champion. Cena rolled Chioda into the ring and arguably the slowest count in WWE history took place 1.……2.……, but Edge was able to get his shoulder up before the ref’s hand his for a three count. Lita grabbed the WWE Championship and slid into the ring, hoping to help her man retain the title. Before any damage could have been done, Cena got back in and gave Lita an F-U of her own! Chioda quickly tried to get Cena out of the ring, and with his back turned it was all the opportunity Edge needed. An Impailer DDT onto the WWE Title helped Edge retain the gold and weasel his way to another title defense.

Extreme Rules Cage Match for the World Heavyweight Title - Rob Van Dam © vs. Randy Orton

http://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/Smackdown/RobVanDam5.jpghttp://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/Belts/biggoldwwe.jpghttp://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/Smackdown/RandyOrton9.jpg

The first of its kind, but not the first Extreme Match that either man had ever been involved in. Many though Van Dam would have had the advantage in this one, but it was back an forth throughout the entire contest. Both men took a hellacious beating and lost an insane amount of blood. The ring was littered with a trash can, steel chair, table, ladder, and any other weapon they could think of to use. Van Dam looked to have sealed the win after a Coast-to-Coast Van Terminator, but Orton was able to kick out and preserve his shot at the World Title, if only for a few more moments. The finish to the match saw Van Dam lay Orton out on a table and keep him there with a few placed chair shots to the abdomen. He scaled to the top of the cage and did his trademarked ‘R-V-D’ hand gesture, before leaping down onto Orton and through the table. He crawled over and covered the challenger, 1..2..3!!!

Backlash Aftermath

http://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/RAW/EdgeRatedR.jpg

The 'Rated R Superstar' Edge is still the WWE Champion but not after some controversy. He may have defeated Triple H, but John Cena is still on the hunt to try and regain the WWE Championship that he lost in January. With Cena teaming with Triple H against Edge and n.W.o. member Kevin Nash, there are sure to be fireworks in RAWs main event.

http://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/RAW/ShawnMichaelsAAF6.jpg

Speaking of the n.W.o., Shawn Michaels, a former member of the legendary faction himself, will no doubt be on the hunt for revenge after being backstabbed by his former best friend Kevin Nash. HBK's aim will also be on the McMahons and the other two members of the n.W.o. Shane Douglas and Tyson Tomko. Will Shawn Michaels be able to extract the revenge he is looking for? Or will the Vince McMahon once again find a way to come out on top?

WWE.com caught up with longtime friend of both Shawn Michaels and Kevin Nash in 'The Game' Triple H. When asked about the events that transpired at Backlash Triple H said only this, "It isn't my battle. What has the n.W.o. done to me?"

Plus, the newest addition to the RAW roster America's Most Wanted will get a non-title match against the World Tag Team Champions Carlito and Chris Masters, and the n.W.o. (Tomko and Douglas) will battle Eugene and Intercontinental Champion Shelton Benjamin. All this and more on Monday Night RAW!

JR - "Ladies and Gentlemen, we welcome you wherever you are at to Monday Night RAW! And King, what a night we had last night at Backlashan and we have got to say the biggest shocker of last night was of course the actions of one Kevin Nash."

http://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/RAW/JerryLawler-1.jpg

King - "I think I am safe in saying JR that HBK Shawn Michaels will be looking to get his hands on his former friend."

http://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/RAW/JimRossAAF3.jpg

JR - "Well King, we will get to see what the n.W.o. has in store for the RAW roster. That being said, lets get our first contest underway."

n.W.o. (Tyson Tomko and Shane Douglas) vs Shelton Benjamin and Eugene

Once again, Shelton Benjamin tried to help carry his team with his tag team 'know-how' and Eugene's unorthodox style of offense helped give his team an early advantage against their opponents. The underhanded tactics of the n.W.o. began to take its toll on Benjamin and Eugene and eventually Eugene was taken out of the equation with a vicious chair shot from 'The Franchise'. This allowed Tomko to deliver a Chokebomb to Shelton and pick up the win for their team. After the match, as the referee tried to give Shelton back his title, Tomko stopped and snatched it away from him and gave it a stare of lust. He smiled to Shane Douglas and mouthed "Its mine"

John Cena stood backstage and gave a fiery speech to Edge in which he nearly begged for one final match against the WWE Champion at Judgment Day.

After Cena's backstage rant, one of production workers is seen calling for help, as he has discovered Triple H laying bloody in the backstage area, looking to have been jumped by someone moments before. He calls immediatly for medical assistance.

Non Title Match - Chris Masters and Carlito vs America's Most Wanted (Chris Harris and James Storm)

After an impressive showing in the pre-show of Backlash, Americas Most Wanted were given a huge test when they faced off against the World Tag Team Champions, who had been on a good roll since winning the Tag Titles at Wrestlemania 22. Harris and Storm looked to impress and took it to the champions from the early going. Masters and Carlito did manage a little bit of offense at the beginning of the match, but it was dominated in large parts by the new tandem. Storm ended the match after delivering a huge superkick to Carlito and covering him for the shock three count. Harris and Storm left the ring and celebrated up on the rampway while Carlito and Masters stood in chock in the ring.

Shawn Michaels made his way down to the ring, with a look of business on his face. He entered the ring and got on the microphone and began to discuss what happened to him the night before, and focused his attention on Kevin Nash. Before Michaels could finish his thoughts, the big man came down to the ring to confront his former friend. Nash entered the ring and a war of words began between the two and a brawl brokeout and the two had to be separated by road agents and other members of the RAW roster.

http://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/RAW/RicFlair5.jpghttp://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/RAW/Nicky.jpg

Ric Flar vs Nicky

Spirit Squad member Nicky looked to face the legendary Ric Flair alll on his own, and kept the other 4 male cheerleaders back in the back of the arena. He took the match to Ric Flair, and it was even contest in the early going. However, the youth that Nicky possessed helped give him the advantage midway through the match. Flair though, battled back using his long in ring career as a basis for his comeback. Flair looked to have the match signed, sealed and delivered, but a quick roll up and handful of tights from Nicky propelled him to a major upset on RAW.

John Cena went around backstage where he recieved word that his tag team partner in the main event (Triple H) would not be able to compete with him against Edge and Kevin Nash. Cena stood for a bit before being approached by his new love interest, Ashley Massaro. She leaned in and whispered something into his ear and a smile came up on Cena's face. He took off down the hallway towards the locker room area.

http://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/RAW/ShawnMichaels13-1.jpghttp://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/RAW/KenDoane2.jpg

Shawn Michaels vs Kenny

This match never really got underway, as Michaels was making his way to the ring, he was attacked by the n.W.o., led by Vince McMahon and the prodigal son, Shane McMahon. They proceeded to bloody and beat down HBK, leaving him in the middle of the ring, humiliated and broken. Tomko left the ring and got a table from the underneath the ring. They set it up inside and Nash Jackniffed his friend through it. To add further humiliation, Shane McMahon 'tagged' HBK with spray paint and the iconic letters, n..w..o.

John Cena and ??? vs WWE Champion Edge and Kevin Nash

Edge and Kevin Nash entered the ring first, followed by John Cena. He stood outside the ring, awaiting his tag team partner. A quick explosion broke out through the arena and Kane began to walk down to the ring. Edge looked slightly concered in the ring, while Nash tried to keep his composure. Kane and Cena stormed into the ring and the main event was on. The team of Kane and Cena kept trying to fight of Tomko and Douglas, which eventually led them to being ejected from the ringside area. Edge and Nash began to focus on Cena and kept Kane out of the ring. Right when it looked like Cena was about to be down and out, he tagged in Kane and the 'Big Red Machine'. Kane was able to clean house and once Cena was tagged in, a F-U was delivered to the WWE Champion for the 1, 2, 3.

'The Animal' Batista makes his return to SmackDown! this Friday Night. What does his return from his injury lay off mean to the rest of the SmackDown! roster and World Heavyweight Champion Rob Van Dam? Or will there be another SmackDown! wrestler to be in the sights or have Batista in their sights?

World Champion Rob Van Dam was successful in his title defense against Randy Orton. Friday night on SmackDown! there will be a Fatal Four Way match to determine the new #1 Contender for World Title at Judgment Day. Booker T, Batista, Chris Beniot, and Fit Finlay. No doubt, the World Champion will be watching this match with great interest.

WWE Cruiserweight Title Match - Gregory Helms © vs Jamie Noble

Both men looked for a great way to kick off the WWE's Friday night show, with a showcase of what made SmackDown! different, the Cruiserweights. In the beginning, the match was split evenly between the two with both men getting in a fair amount of offense. In the end though, a thumb to the eye and a roll up with a hand full of tights was all that Helms needed to retain his Cruiserweight Championship.

http://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/Smackdown/Batista9.jpg

The returning Batista is standing backstage with Josh Matthews and the arena is filled with cheers and 'Batista' chants. Matthews questions Batista on his injury and what his plans on for his return to action. The first thing that Batista spits out is his desire to regain the World Title that he never officially lost. Before he can finish the interview, the ONLY Olympic Gold Medalist in the history of the WWE steps up to 'The Animal'.

http://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/RAW/KurtAngle13.jpg

Kurt Angle - "Tell me Dave, why do you think you deserve a shot at RVD for the World Title? You havent competed in months. Get your ass back in line and let the other competitors take their shot at the title."

http://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/Smackdown/Batista9.jpg

Batista - *smirks* "Last I checked Kurt, you have been on quite the losing streak, getting your ass kicked by the Undertaker. Maybe you should rack up a few more wins before you get a shot at the World Title."

http://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/RAW/KurtAngle13.jpg

Kurt Angle - "Watch yourself Batista. If it were up to me, you wont be getting a title shot anytime in the near future."

http://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/RAW/Big_Show.jpghttp://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/Smackdown/Psicosis.jpghttp://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/Smackdown/JuventudGuerrera3.jpg

Big Show vs The Mexicools

It was apparent who, on paper, would walk away from this match as the winner, but not every match of course is won on paper. However, Juventud and Psicosis were not able to do much of anything against the World's Largest Athlete as he was able to deliver a Chokeslam to both Juventud and Psicosis and pick up his first win as he makes his return to SmackDown!

After the match, Show gets on the microphone and looks at the crowd around him. He tells them that tonight he plans on making a huge impact on one of the major superstars on SmackDown!

The former World Heavyweight Champion is walking around backstage with a bandage covering his head, following his match with RVD from only days before. Teddy Long approaches him and tries to sympathise with him, but tells him that he could have a chance to get back into World Title contention with a win against his opponent for the night. Long says that it is someone that Orton knows very well and spent a good amount of 2005 battling all over the WWE....the Undertaker. Orton almost goes berserk after hearing this news.

http://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/RAW/KurtAngle13.jpghttp://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/Smackdown/MattHardy2.jpg

Kurt Angle vs Matt Hardy

Arguably, the match of the night. Both men are veterans of the WWE, however Matt Hardy has never reached the hights that the former 4-time WWE Champion has reached in his career. That did not stop a determined Matt Hardy to put on a great performance and nearly get the victory over Kurt Angle on a couple of occassion, with the closest coming from a Twist of Fate. Kurt Angle thought to have had the match won after an Angle Slam from the top rope and was only half a second away from pinning Matt Hardy. 'The Sensei of Mattitude' kept fighting until the very end until he found his ankle in the grasp of the Olympian and the Ankle Lock. Matt was a figertip away from the ropes before Angle drug him back into the middle of the ring and grapvined his leg. Hardy had no choice back to tap out.

Angle celebrated in the ring and suddenly stopped. He went out to the timekeeper and grabbed a steel chair. He waited for Hardy to get up and drilled him with the chair. He looked into the camera and mouthed the name 'Batista' before leaving the ringside area.

WWE Tag Team Title Match - Rob Van Dam and Rey Mysterio © vs The F.B.I.

The F.B.I. were given a shot to become the WWE Tag Team Champions against the highflying tag team of RVD and Rey Mysterio. The match from Judgment Day was still showing its effect on RVD when he was being doubleteamed by Vito and Guido for a good portion of the match. The World Champion tried desperatley to battle back, but was squashed down by the Italian tag team. Finally, RVD made the tag to Rey Mysterio who helped clear house and give RVD some time to rest and recuperate on the outside of the ring. Van Dam was able to isolate Vito on the outside of the ring, allowing Mysterio to his a 6-1-9 on Guido and a West Coast Pop for the pinfall victory.

After the WWE Tag Team Title Match, a short video is played, showing the fans in the arena and at home the rivalry that the Undertaker and Randy Orton shared. Their matches from Wrestlemania 21, SummerSlam, No Mercy, and the Hell in a Cell match at Armageddon.

The Undertaker vs Randy Orton

Orton showed no fear when we started the match off and took the contest right to the Undertaker, who was on a roll after another stellar match against Kurt Angle. There was a cockiness about Orton that had not been seen since he held the World Title and few could explain how he could have been so cocky. The Undertaker was able to finally get the upperhand in the match and begin to assert hmself as the aggressor and take the match to Orton. A vicious Big Boot and Running DDT was all that the Undertaker needed to be in full control and have Orton right where he wanted him. Referee Jack Doan was the unfortunate victim of a Big Boot from Taker after Randy had been good to avoid it, and followed it up with a low blow to the Undertaker. Finally, the reasons behind Orton's cockiness became clear and they appeared in the form of the Big Show. He climbed into the ring and gave a Chokeslam to the Undertaker. He helped revive the referee and Orton was able to pick up the win.

Show and Orton embraced and turned their attention back to the Undertaker. Show held up the Deadman as Orton began to deliver rights and lefts to the head and body of the man he just defeated. They took the assault to the outside area and Orton began to dismantle the announce table. The Big Show followed up with a Chokeslam through the announce table to the Undertaker. The two posed above the Undertaker with smiles on their faces.

No DQ Match - Batista vs Fit Finaly vs Booker T vs Chris Beniot

All four men were hungry for a World Title shot, with only two of these men being World Champions in the WWE and Finlay being the only man to have not won a World Title in either the WWE or WCW. All four men were allowed to be in the ring at the same time, in this Tornado Rules Match. Batista ruled the first 5 minutes of the match, taking the fight to all of the other competitors and using his power to keep the other 3 members of the match at bay. His advantage would not last long when Kurt Angle shocked the SmackDown! crowd and took Batista out of the match with a chair shot to his ankle. He drug Batista out of the ring and applied an Ankle Lock until he was eventually ripped off of Batista by officials and medical staff. It soon became a triple threat match that was very reminiscent to the matches that these three had during the early part of 1998 in WCW. At various parts of the match, all three men looked like becomming the man who would challenge RVD for the World Title at Judgment Day. Beniot was the closest man at one point after locking in the Crossface on Finlay, but Booker T was able to break up the submission hold. With Finaly momentarily out of the equation, both former United States Champions were able to go toe-to-toe. Beniot clapsed his hands around the waist of Booker T and went for his trio of German Suplexes. Before hit the third suplex, Finlay came in with the Shilaley and connected to the back of the head of Beniot. He swung at Booker but was caught up in the Book-End! He covered Finaly for the three count, and became the new #1 Contender for World Heavyweight Championship.

It is rare that WWE Title Matchtakes place on RAW and on Monday Night, WWE Champion Edge will have to defend his title against Kane! Edge requested a match against 'The Big Red Machine' following the tag team match last week on RAW. But WWE Officials threw him a curveball and told him that he MUST put the title on the line if he wanted his match. And with John Cena still in the hunt for not only Edge but the title, this match could throw up a very interesting propostion for Judgment Day.

Last week on RAW the n.W.o. ran rampant, taking out Shelton Benjaminand Shawn Michaels, and nearly taking out Cena and Kane. Next week on RAW, Tyson Tomko will do battle with Eugene the sole survivor of his make shift tandem with Shelton Benjamin. Tomko is still on the hunt for the Intercontinental Title and his first piece of gold in the WWE.

'The Game' Triple H was left bloodied and broken at the hands of a mystery attacker and put on the sidelines for a couple of weeks. While Triple H rests in his home in Conneticut, one thing must be on his mind...Who attacked me? And why did they do it? WWE Officials are scrambling, trying to follow any leads and find out who it was that assaulted one of RAW's top superstars.

Chris Harris and James Storm shocked the RAW audience with a clean and clear cut victory over the reigning World Tag Team Champions Chris Masters and Carltio. This week on RAW they will get a chance to tangle with the champions in two 1-on-1 encounters, Harris and Masters/Storm and Carlito. Can the rookie tag team pull off yet another series of upsets?

Monday Night RAW

http://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/RAW/KevinNash3.jpg

The n.W.o., led by Kevin Nash made their way to the ring to kick off the show. Boos filled the arena, and a couple pieces of trash began to liter the ring and fly in from the audience. For several minutes the Nash gloated at the recent wave of destruction that the n.W.o. had been on. Video footage was shown of the attacks on Shelton Benjamin, Eugene, and then of Nash Powerbombing Michaels through a table. The n.W.o. seemed pleased at viewing their handywork. Nash made it clear to the rest of the RAW roster that no one was safe and that they were not done with their intention to raise hell and cause mayham. The big man's ranting was interupted by a man he used to consider a close friend, Shawn Michaels. There was something different about the look on HBK's face as he stood on the rampway and stared out at the n.W.o. Michaels paced back and forth on the stage, which eventually led to him challenging Kevin Nash to a 1-on-1 match at Judgement Day. Nash accepted, only if Michaels could beat Shane Douglas later on in the program, to which Shawn agreed.

Trish Stratus and Ashley Massaro vs Mickie James and Lita

Trish and her protege Ashley were looking to gain a small amount of revenge on Women's Champion Mickie James. Mickie was successful in defeating Trish for the Women's Title at Wrestlemania, and then defendint it against Ashley on the preshow of Backlash. This was a relatively short contest, with both teams holding the advantage during various parts of the contest. Trish was finally able to get the revenge she had been looking for and pinned Mickie after drilling her with a Chick Kick.

Before his match with Eugene, Tomko grabbed the microphone and made an official challenge to Shelton Benjamin for a shot at the Intercontinental Championship at Judgement Day.

http://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/RAW/TomkoTNA.jpghttp://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/RAW/Eugene5-1.jpg

Tyson Tomko vs Eugene

Eugene's very unorthodox style made this an interesting and difficult match for Tomko, and for anyone on the RAW roster at that. Tomko dominated the early parts of the match, using his strength to keep Eugene at bay and assert himself as the aggressor. Eugene was able to make a strong comeback though, but interference from Shane Douglas quickly put a stop to any momentum that he had going. Tomko finally put Eugene away after hitting him with a ChokeBomb.

The match had ended, but Tomko and Douglas continued the beatdown of Eugene. Before they could get to far with their assault, the Intercontinental Champion Shelton Benjamin stormed into the with a steel chair and chased off the n.W.o. from further hurting his partner.

Johnathan Coachman stood backstage with John Cena, who had a look of determination and a fire in his eyes. The Coach informed the audience in the arena and at home that the former WWE Champion had a huge proposition for the reigning champion Edge. Cena challenged the Rated R Superstar to one more match at Judgement Day, and in order to get that title shot, he would be willing to put his career on the line to get one last match with Edge. He finished by saying that Edge had until the end of the show tonight to give him an answer.

Carlito vs James Storm

James Storm and his partner Chris Harris had been on a huge roll since joining the RAW roster, having already gotten a clear pinfal victory over the World Tag Team Champions. Momentum was certainly on their side and it played a huge factor in Storm's match with Carlito. The man from the Carribbean made sloppy mistakes during the match, which were attributed to his teams recent string of lackluster performances. Just when Carlito was looking like he was going to be able to rally, James Storm struck with a Superkick from seemingly out of nowhere. He covered Carlito to get the three count.

http://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/RAW/ChrisMasters4.jpghttp://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/Smackdown/ChrisHarris2.jpg

Chris Masters vs Chris Harris

The powerful southpaw Chris Harris was up against his biggest challenge in the 'Masterpiece'. Both men struggled to get the early advantage, but in the end it was the strength of Chris Masters that able to prevail over the 'Wildcat'. Harris began to use his speed, something that he had over his opponent. Carlito ran down to the ring to try and help his partner get the victory, but his interference backfired, and Harris was able to spear Masters to pick up the win and make America's Most Wanted 2-0 on the night.

The 'Rated R Superstar' Edge made his way down to the ring with the WWE title over his shoulder, a cocky look on his face, a bag in his hand, and the beautiful Lita by his side. Out of the bag Lita took out and showed the audience a John Cena T-shirt, meant to symbolize the career of John Cena. Edge accepted the challenge that Cena had made and lit the T-shirt on fire. Edge and Lita laughed as the shirt burned in the middle of the ring.

http://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/RAW/ShawnMichaels13-1.jpghttp://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx157/tcox88/RAW/ShaneDouglasnwo.jpg

Shawn Michaels vs Shane Douglas

'The Franchise' Shane Douglas was all alone in this match as he stared across the ring from his opponent. Shawn had a determined look on his face and started off the match very aggressive, something that had not been seen from HBK since his match with Vince at Wrestlemania 22. Douglas did not let HBK's reputation get to him and was able to go toe-to-toe with him in the early going of the match. It was not enough however, and after some Sweet Chin Music, Michaels earned himself another victory on RAW.

The celebrations were short lived however, when Kevin Nash and Tyson Tomko made their presence known, with Vince McMahon sauntering behind them. McMahon mocked Michaels as the n.W.o. put a hell of a beating on HBK, and left him broken and bloody in the middle of the ring for the 2nd week in a row.

WWE Title Match - Edge © vs Kane

Kane was arguably one of the more deserving men of a shot at the WWE title on the RAW roster. Edge did his best to try and avoid the challenger early on in the contest, but eventually found himself in the grasp of the 'Big Red Machine'. Kane looked the odds on favorite to win the match, after being able to use his power and aggressive nature to dominate Edge. Lita, the former wife of Kane, did her best to try and interfere in the match, but much to her chagrin, she was unable to make much of a difference. With Edge groggy, Kane looked set to win the WWE title when he signaled for a Chokeslam to Hell. He wrapped his big hand around the throat of Edge but the champion gave Kane a thumb to the eyes, stopping him in his efforts. Edge took the opportunity to nail Kane with a huge Spear! Edge covered 1...2.., but Kane was able to get his shoudler up. Edge looked in shock as the crowd at RAW cheered for Kane. Kane got up. only to be planted with a second Spear, this time keeping Kane down for the three count.

Edge was not finished after the match and looked to put Kane out of commission for sometime with a one man con-chair-to. Before he could put Kane away, John Cena ran down to the ring and chased Edge and Lita away, saving Kane from what could have been a long term injury.

Last week on SmackDown!, Randy Orton and The Big Show joined forces to take out the Undertaker and seemingly formed an unholy alliance. Will the Undertaker be in the arena to get revenge on Orton and Show? Or will this new alliance tear apart the SmackDown! roster? Could this new tandem even be stopped by anyone in the WWE?

A six man tag team match has been signed for this Friday night on SmackDown! and it promises to be an explosive main event. Kurt Angle will be teaming up with The Big Show and Randy Orton to take on Matt Hardy, Batista, and Bobby Lashley. Batista will be looking to get revenge on Kurt Angle for costing him a shot at the World Title in last weeks main event match. Will Batista be able to get his hands on Angle, or will the Olympic Gold medalist be able to break the ankle of the Animal?

World Champion Rob Van Dam and his partner Rey Mysterio will defend the WWE Tag Team Champions against the former champions M n M. With RVD and Mysterio being on a huge roll since Wrestlemania, the result of this match may almost be a formality. But M n M will not back down from this match and will be looking to become 4-Time Tag Team Champions. And with Melina in their corner, they could have the upperhand.
