Wrestling's New Battle-The Ground Floor

Recommended Posts

Starting Over The year is 2005, and after a great run, the McMahon empire is crumbling before our eyes. The company was gobbling up seemingly the world, and had recently acquired the upstart TNA promotion. But early in the year, the National Enquirer reported on a story of scandal and adultery as Vince reportedly was having an affair with one of the new WWE divas. Well, the scandal became reality as it was soon reported that Linda McMahon was seeking a divorce. There was an enraged battle for the ensuing months that saw neither side giving in as to how the McMahon empire would be divided. Finally an agreement was beginning to unfold. Vince would keep his WWE, and Linda would be granted TNA. But from there, things got sticky. Linda began demanding to hire workers from WWE for TNA, but Vince was having none of that. Eventually a deal was struck, a very odd one, but it seemed to placate both parties. It turned out that Vince also had his eye on some TNA workers as well. So it was agreed that the contracts of all active wrestlers would be voided in both promotions, and they would then have a signing frenzy and try to lure the workers to either company. But then, a wrench was thrown into the mess. At first, it was kept a secret, but both sides were having trouble financially dealing with the messy divorce. Unbeknowst to either side, both Vince and Linda made deals to sell part of their ownerships in the companies to a third party. And this is where things get interesting. Both Vince and Linda ended up selling out to the same person, who is still a mystery to this day. And it is not known if it was part of the selling arangements, or if both Vince and Linda missed a key bit of fine print in the deals, but this third entity was given power to assign a number of workers of his or her own choosing, to both promotions. So now the stage is set. The WWE and TNA are on the same footing, basically starting from the ground up. Both companies have a small starting roster of virtually unkown wrestlers. And from here, they will both make some huge pushes at trying to hire, or re-hire various wrestlers from the now larger free agent pool. It will be exciting to see where things go from here. Will the two companies stay away from each other and do their own thing, or will this become a bitter fued between the former partners? At this point, the details are sketchy. We don't know who any of these new wrestlers are, or if any of the newly released workers have been resigned. But stay tuned in for further news once it becomes available.......

Still no word on any familiar signings between Vince or Linda. But it has been revealed who the first wrestler employees will be for TNA and WWE. TNA: Grimm Reaper –Heel- Grimm appears to be a very well rounded young worker. He is very strong with decent Rumble abilities. His strength lies in his Technical skills, though he is weak in submission. He has pretty good Entertainment skills, and is a very intense athlete. Judd-Heel-Judd is an out and out Brawler, but he can hang with the technical workers. He needs to work on his charisma and basics. He is a decent entertainer, but has bad charisma. “Heinous” Hardy Ulmet-Heel-Ulmet is another good all around competitor. He has great power, and excellent MMA skills. He can make you submit with the best. He is a young Ken Shamrock. He is a great specimen of athleticism and stamina. He can also captivate the audience with his good mic skills. Tony “Smokin” Wheed-Face-Tony is a high flyer by trade, and a good one. He is also known to brawl from time to time. He is a decent Entertainer. Da Bomb-Heel-Da Bomb doesn’t stand out in any one area, but has immense power. He’s good at entertaining, but needs to work on his acting. He is very intense, but needs to also work on his cardio. His look is unmatched. WWE: Caliban Dark-Heel-Caliban is probably the toughest wrestler in the world. He has never lost a brawl based match, and has great power. He has no real weaknesses, but is just average in every other facet of the sport. He needs to work on his entertainment skills as he is barely average. Bruce “Lee” Thomas-Face-Thomas is a very similar worker to Caliban, but not as experienced in brawling. He also is much better at entertaining the fans, and has a great star look. Mikkel Ulmer Rudolph-Heel-Mikkel is one of the toughest SOB’s to step in the ring. He can beat anyone in a Hardcore match. His charisma needs a little work, but he is athletically gifted. Dirk Emory Rudolph-Heel-Dirk is virtually the same wrestler as brother Mikkel, but not as gifted at entertaining. They could make a devastating tag team. Mark Storm-Heel-Storm is just an average wrestler, but that isn’t bad. He has absolutely no weekness outside of still being stiff in the ring. He has some flying ability that should mix well with his style. He does need work on the entertainment side of his character. Others of Note: UPW has signed three new workers that show a lot of promise. Derek Blackley-Heel-Blackley is a good technical worker. But has no weakness in the ring other than stamina. He does need mic work, but is a great actor and has a good look. Sean Shook-Heel-Shook is not flashy, but he is one of the best flyers in the world. He can hold his own on the mat, or fist to fist as well. He’s average on the mic, and has bad stamina. “The Unholy Icon” Alexander Fayt-Face-Fayt is a pretty good technical worker, who likes to do some hardcore matches as well. He has unmatched charisma, but his mic skills and acting need work. He does have awesome stamina, and can seemingly wrestle for hours. OOC: Since the last three guys wanted Cutting Edge I added UPW. I will still import new workers if anyone wants in. As far as areas, since the US and Europe were basically the ones people seemed interest in, I took out Japan and Mexico to keep the game from going too slow. And I didn't remove the workers from UPW, just added those three.

So hopefully this will fix things.

Ya know, to avoid Trish (or any other woman) winning a big title, you COULD just make sure the title is set as men's only......I mean seriously, women aren't going to be winning the big one any time in real life, so they shouldn't be able to in the game either. Also, get me a job!! I'll job to anyone, just let me earn some cash!! :) Derek B

I'll get to the new guys today or tomorrow. Does anyone know how/if I can add new people in to one of the promotions with the game going? I thought I could import them, but I tried it with the unemployed guys and it didn't work. I tried making them deceased and then edited the database for those three and gave them contracts with WWE or TNA, and tried to import them, but it didn't work. It would import them into the game, but without contracts. And I'm not running either of the promotions as it's just too much work, and I'd get burned out doing this. Is there a way to change the titles to men only without running one of them? I saw titles in the editor, but that only looks to be for changing the name.
