kyros_walker
When looking at the tables in access all I see are player IDs and numbers for both first and last names. Shouldn't there be actual names in those columns? This also oocurs when looking at teams. The team ID is there instead fo the team name. Also, while I do not plan on using any facepacks in BBCF, if you were to ever release a pro football sim my hope is that you will abandone the (a,b,c) sequence in the fac folder and just use traditional ways. For example, within the fac folder create a folder called QB and within this folder lable the player pics as follows - (qb1, qb2, qb3, qb4, ect...ect). kyros_walker
a player editor is due to come out with update 1.1.
Im not interested in editing players. Where did I mention that? My question is access based as I want to create some tables so that I can load them on my website in HTML format but since there are no player names......... As it looks now, all players seem to be represented by a number instead of his name.
ThrowTheBall
Yea, each number has a corresponding name in the names table. That wont help you tho, sorry.
Tim Plum
since dbases are generally numbers and this game uses Player_ID to show a player and separate tables to generate the name and then assign the ID. I thought maybe the naming convention of players and teams would be obvious if we digging that deep into the files.
kyros_walker
I understand why the use of player IDs but what I don't get is why the player names are just numbers (which ThrowTheBall seems to be correct - that they are corresponding to the names table). No biggie I guess. Just a bit more work.
