This new promotion is intent on bringing competition back to the wrestling world. The World Championships from both promotions have been vacated and retired while the remaining championships will be unified with their counterpart. A tournament to crown the first ever WAR World Heavyweight Champion begins this week on Impact Wrestling on SpikeTV. The tournament matches for the first edition of Impact Wrestling under the WAR banner are as follows: AJ Styles vs Bully Ray Brian Kendrick vs Jeff Jarrett Davey Richards vs Jimmy Jacobs vs Roderick Strong Bobby Roode vs Devon Jeff Hardy vs Scott Steiner Mr Anderson vs Shelton Benjamin Kurt Angle vs Rob Van Dam Two Championship Unification matches will also take place. Does anyone really think weedboy has a chance against Double J? Didn't think so. Davey Richards vs Jimmy Jacobs vs Roderick Strong Can't go wrong with any of these three, so this was really a roll of the dice. Jay Lethal vs Robbie E- TV title unification match Macho Man imitator over the Jersey Shore knockoff Crimson & Matt Morgan vs Motor City Machine Guns vs The Briscoe Brothers vs WGTT- Tag Team Title unification match. This is a tag match that I'd love to see, well with Crimson and Morgan out of it, but hey... Bobby Roode vs Devon A battle of former tag team specialists...sorry Devon, it's Roode time now Jeff Hardy vs Scott Steiner A man one strike away from imprisonment or an over the hill big bad booty daddy? Hmmm.. Mr Anderson vs Shelton Benjamin Will Shelton be the gold standard in this company? I hope so. Kurt Angle vs Rob Van Dam Heads Kurt wins, tails RVD does.
