jonlawson
I'm not sure if this has been posted here yet, but I just wanted to say "it's about time". I'm glad to see Tajiri leaving and doing his own thing.
WWE and Tajiri reach agreement on release December 8, 2005 WWE and Tajiri have reached an agreement on his release. Monday Night RAW in Boston on Dec. 12, 2005, will be Tajiri’s final appearance. Tajiri has decided to go back to his native Japan to work on writing a book. In addition, Tajiri plans to write news columns upon his return. WWE wishes Tajiri the best in all his future endeavors.
Tajiri will be missed by me and I hope he does stay in the ring in Japan. If this has already been posted then forgive me. SaySo
Man, Tajiri was not used properly as most the case with former ECW stars that wrestled in World Wrestling Entertainment.
cappyboy
I've heard ECW types tell me that this is in part because I only got to see Tajiri in the E. But I've always felt the guy is badly over-rated by the Internet community. He's always struck me at best as a three note samba. The kicks, the Tarantula and that handstand back elbow spot. Everything else I've seen done just as well or better by other Japanese wrestlers. That said, this probably is the wrong era for him to be stateside. If this were 1988 or so, he'd be so much easier to find a role for. Mr Fuji would see to that.
Int. Champion. 101
Yeah he was the only Japanese good guy on the roster. Stinks that they only used him for HEAT. Tajiri was my 4th favorite wrestler after Rey, Eddie, and Undertaker. Sad to see him go, crazy if he went to TNA and wrestled in the X-Division but he should go back to his home-land of Japan. Hotrod
Tajiri asked for his release he just signed a 3 yr deal and has lost all desire to wrestle since E.Guerrero's death is the reason why, he is quitting the business, leaving because he wants to. jonlawson
Oh, well Tajiri will definitely be missed in the ring. I don't agree with him being a "Three note samba" actually, I think he was forced into doing that due to the crowd loving those moves. If you get a chance watch some of his ECW matches, cappyboy. cappyboy
You know, Jon, I keep telling myself I'll do that one of these days. But the ECW attitude and I didn't mesh well. So it's not very likely I'll go seeking them out. I want to believe there's more to Tajiri than I've seen. But between his three note performances in the E and the cartoony nature of the Tarantula, I find it hard to take the guy seriously as a stand-alone wrestler. As a manager's henchman, okay. But on his own, no thank you.
panix04
The WWE did push him for a while when he first signed he had great momentum and it was reflected in his matches. But the rock was doing a feud with booker T and the had Booker bury Tajiri to put him over before he faced the rock. It was all down hill from there! jonlawson
Wow,...this was soo old and stuff...but I remember, they had Tajiri with Torrie Wilson and he had her all geisha'd up...right? So, any new news on Tajiri?
panix04
well he wrestled on ONS didnt he? But i dont think he will return full time - i think that was probably just to meet up with all his ex-ECW buddies. Would be interested to know. By the way, how gorgeous was Torrie back then? And, Lawson, Tajiri is currently working for the HUSTLE promotion in Japan.
panix04
 thats a bit strong aint it? Just because someone is comfortable enough to flaunt there body does not make them in anyway inferior to anyone else. In fact i think all female wrestlers should do a mandatory playboy shoot - exept aja kong.
PWNED
I'm not calling her a whore just because she posed for Playboy. I'm referring to the fact that immediately after she posed, WWE immediately turned her character into an exhibitionist sex kitten. I don't think less of her for posing nude, because I don't believe that it's my place to judge people, especially considering some of the stuff I've done in my life. I believe that only God can judge people. And, as a side note, there's a reason they're called "private parts."
panix04
i call mine "public parts!" well atleast i did before i got married. I think what you have to understand is that the wwe's target demographic is probably adolescent up to 35 year old men - do most men of that age group like to see scantily clad women? hell yeah we do! Do most men in that group want to have bi-sexuality in women hinted at? I know i do! WWE would have been crazy not to cash in on this oppurtunity. As for Torrie going along with the push she was given A) she was doing her job B)If she's already posed nude, lets be honest there isnt going to be many angles Vince couldnt sell her on and C) in the words of Mick Foley (paraphrased for convenience) "If Vince Mcmahon asked you to mow his lawn 99% of people would jump at the chance"
PWNED
So you're saying that WWE turns their women into skanks because their key demographic is comprised of chauvinist perverts? Sadly, I'd have to agree with you there. And before you say anything, know that I'm a 19-year-old male and am actually capable of thinking with the head that's on my shoulders. I guess this is why I am annoyed at all this T&A crap. I found Torrie to be infinitely more attractive before she posed for Playboy. Same goes for Christy Hemme. panix04
damn right im saying thats who they are aiming at! And i am definatly not capable of thinking with my own head. You clearly are not the type of fan WWE is aiming the product at, but tbh you do make a choice wether you watch it or not (unless you are like that bloke from clockwork orange!) so if it offends ya hit the off switch - occasionally i have been tempted to do it myself! That segment when JR left and they done the 'fake operation' that was just tasteless. But im 24 and i have no problem what-so-ever with the dolled up totty they put on the WWE, in real life i wouldnt go for a woman who posed naked but they are just there for a bit of testerone filled fun so i say leave them in there and as far as im concerned the sluttier the better! PWNED
So, to you, these women, who are human beings just like you and I, with real vital organs and real emotions, who are unique human beings in and of themselves, only exist to get your rocks off? You really need to think about that, man. And, BTW, I have tuned out of the show, more times than I can count, in fact.
The Humanoid Typhoon
If you haven't seen Tajiri wrestle outside of WWE, I've suggest watching the following: ECW: Taz vs Tajiri ECW One Night Stand II - Part Two (FBI vs Tajiri & Super Crazy, Sabu vs Rey Mysterio Jr) You need WinAmp (FREE) for the second one. panix04
hey take a chill pill buddy! I know everybody has emotions - im not an idiot but the women of the wwe have made a choice to be in the profession they are in and im sure they really dont mind if men are at home 'getting there rocks off' that being said, i think your taking the whole thing way too seriously. I was just having a laugh, sure i like beautiful women and i am quite happy to look at them in tight leather outfits but would i want my wife going out like that? Probably not! Mainly 'cos i know pervs like me would be eyeing her up! I think we are going to have to agree to disagree.
