Some help with noob questions!

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm new to WMMA 3 (and the WMMA series in general) and having some things I want to make sure about. Regarding editing databases...say I want to build a new database that will have about 200 fighters overall, with only 2-3 companies. Will that work? is that a too small amount of fighters for the game ?

I have seen on several other database including the official one that there are always a high number of CEOs (50-100), why is that? What is their purpose? As far as I understand there should only be 1 per promotion...what am I missing?

What is the purpose of fight teams\camps? are they necessary in a database? if so, for what purpose? What happens if there are no camps?

and THE Most important question for me so far: When creating new fighters, I am trying to figure out how much difference do the stat scores make. Meaning, If I give someone 80 Strength, and another fighter 70 Strength, is the first fighter a lot stronger? are 10 points a lot ?

Is a difference of 3-5 points between two fighters in X stat going to make a real impact in a fight ? or is that too small of a difference?

Thanks!

How much money a company has. 200 fighters for 2 or 3 companies seems low to me but I could be wrong. In the database that created, I made 113 fighters (30 that start when the game starts.) and there is only one active company. There is one weight division in said company and it seemed like the AI was unable to run a lot of shows.</p>

As for the CEO's. I would'nt spend much time creating them. The game actually works fine without any CEO's at all. I've created a few and made them vicious in their ability to steal workers (megalomaniac), yet they don't seem to do anything at first glance. It's probably just a feature that will be expanded in future versions of the game.

Though what Adam says is definately true, there is also a randomness factor in the game based on, for example, stats like 'consistency'. So sometimes a worker might not truly dominate in wrestling, for example, even though he has 30 points more in that sole statistic. With experience you'll find out how to really flesh out a mod and which stats result in dominant workers in-game.

And yes, fighting camps indeed increase stats more rapidly. Workers with high potentials might not realise them in the fullest if they're not joining a fighting camp. It might also make Jiu-jitsu guys complete fighters over time if they're with a kickboxing camp for example.
