a quick question on angles..

Recommended Posts

okay for an entertainment angle it says that the angle will be rating on the entertainment skills of the worker.. however everytime i book and angle with one of my guys who is good on the mic he sucks it up hard.. is there some other factors that i am not getting about this? does it have to do with momentum or is it popularity?

Popularity. All angles are based on popularity, hell even matches are based a lot on pop even in performance based feds. Angles will be based on the pop of everyone involved and then the related skill.

Yep, small Entertainment companies can be difficult... with that said, they're are my absolute, hands-down favorites to play.

They're definetely a challenge, especially at the start... but it'll snowball in time once you start to get just a couple of your top guys more over.

Don't shy away from using angles, and focus on your most popular workers and their best attributes. Nothin' can jump start a company quite like the old school monster push of a, well, monster. Big menacing guy dominating in his matches and standing around looking scary while his charismatic (and hopefully over!) manager talks about how unstoppable their client is= all aboard the overness express.

In fact, abuse the crap out of Menace. It (and Sex Appeal) seem to work the best at the lower levels in angles, and once you've got a monster or two who can build popularity without worry, it'll start to rub off on other folks in angles with em' and of course you can have them lose the occaisonal big match to throw some of that overness to one of those charismatic guys who just isn't quite popular enough for people to care about his interviews.

This'll sound stupid, but make sure they speak English (or the appropriate language for your audience) as well.

I just had Axxis Jr do a promo since he's got such great entertainment stats, but the segment drew an F- because no one could understand him!
