Wolfpack
Is there no way to actually fire a coach? It appears that you can't fire them from the staff screen, and the coaches currently under contract aren't on the hire/fire screen. I know you can make offers for other guys, but it seems kind of odd not to be able to clear up the salary before you go out coach hunting. One thing that I would like to see, that would make things more realistic, is for the coach hiring to be moved to the beginning of the season. It seems completely wrong for a new coach to have no input over his assistants for the first year of his deal. Or if not moving it, at least let the coach pick his assistants from a pool or something.
Miral
The coach phase, you're coaches are listed down at the bottom, click on one of their names, and their info will come up and you can fire them then.
Wolfpack
Ha....I'm even more unobservant than I thought, seeing as how it says that right down there. :) Second paragraph still stands though.
Dave Hansen
In starting a new game, during the training camp phase I would like the ability just to SEE the characteristics of my coaching staff. Right now you have to advance to the regular season to view your staff. During training camp, you have to set offense and defensive alignments with no knowledge of your coaches styles. But even more important, when you evaluate your roster you don't know your coaches' scouting abilities. When you look at your QB with an overall rating of 63, is that through the eyes of your OC with a QB scouting ability of Very Good or Poor? As a new head coach taking over a team with an existing coaching staff at the start of the year, not to have this staff info available is like going through the entire training camp process and having your staff show up on game day and introduce themselves for the first time (pun intended). Since this does not seem like a realistic situation, I save my game...advance the sim to week one of the regular season...right down my staff's level of expertise...and then reboot to week one of training camp. Somehow I don't feel like I am cheating.
Tim Plum
If you click the Season button on the left then under Roster is team staff.
