In all seriousness, I think for me the biggest draw of another game is simply story progression. I am just dying to see 'in canon' what happens next - where companies end up in 2012, who is on top and who has had their fall from grace. Beef up available angles and a few extra match types and I think you're set. I understand we have a forum for suggestions, this is not what I am on about - just rallying support! I've been a long, longtime fan - way back in the EWD days where I'd sit on my Pc in 2000 and just go crazy autopilot on some of the WCW/WWF scenarios. Looking forward to 2012! I'm a definite +1 on wanting to find out what's been happenning in the Cornellverse. I'm pretty much a Cornellverse only player and I've tried most areas of the game now, with my Road To Glory game now deep into it's 6th game year and me still exploring through that. I think a lot of people are starting to see some really long term games going on now and that's also seemingly fuelling a lot of discussions about what can be improved on in future games. Can't wait to get more Cornellverse though... gotta assume it'd move on by 3 years which is a lot of potential for change and having played games that length I'm looking forward to seeing how it goes. I admit, after CBH, I really want another TEW title just because how ... bad that last "game" was. Here's hoping for an announcement by or around Wrestlemania! dvdWarrior Posted February 19, 2012 Share Posted February 19, 2012 As strange as it sounds, I believe there'll be a TEW2012 not because I've heard anything, or any logical reason like that, but because TEW2012 looks right to me in type. I think the real world's events call for another WMMA rather than TEW (UFC jumping to Fox, Spike using subterfuge to lock up Bellator as a 'just in case' measure, and Dana's actions in trying to suppress Bellator's growth). I mean, the only thing that happened in wrestling was, what? Return of the Rock (which has no parallel in the C-Verse), Billy Corgan opening a new promotion, and TNA changing its name but continuing to suck (which again, has no parallel in the C-Verse since TCW does not suck). I guess Manami Toyota in CHIKARA could be duplicated by having DEVIL do some dates in USPW (since Ogiwara is retired) but it just seems like the real world's events would really make moving WMMA's story forward a bit more compelling. I wouldn't complain about a new TEW. Wait, maybe I would. New game = new mod = "contest" for 40-odd licenses.....eeep! Naw, I'd welcome a new TEW since I'm pretty sure it would come chock full of new, awesome features (and also come without the feature-that-shall-not-be-named). If anything could inspire me to write a TNA/Impact diary, it's the fact that I saw this and had to spend a good 30 seconds trying to work out when this happened and what they changed their name to But yeah, I doubt we'll get a TEW 2012, if only because any game seems likely to come out at the back end of the year at the earliest, so TEW 2013 seems more likely Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Adam Ryland Posted February 19, 2012 Share Posted February 19, 2012 Irrespective of what my next game is: 1 - It would take at least a year to do, so it wouldn't be out until Christmas 2012 at the earliest. 2 - We wouldn't announce it until much later in the year as otherwise sales of the previous version are going to suffer for several months for no reason.
