Real World Mod Discussion Thread

Recommended Posts

I usually play as current Wwe. I try to mirror what they do on tv push and character wise. But the storylines I make my own and title changes I try to keep it in the division. Like the Wwe title I'd have another main evemter win it if I'm tired of the current champ. Oh, and I always make kane wreck havok on everyone.

I tried all different year mods but I choose 2006 to play. I started out with a 2002 mod and imported everyone through 2011 but I felt it was too long to wait and I didn't want to recreate 10 years of history though it was fun changing some things around ex Trish's mega push going to a more deserved Lita & Brock Lesnar not being given everything so quick. 2010 I didn't like because it was too current having to decide gimmicks and storylines by myself and not being able to use the past as a guideline when I don't have any ideas for a specific person. Also many wrestler's are aging (HHH, Taker , HBK) and I wanted to be able to book a little more freely instead of worrying about people retiring. 2006 is a good place for me to start because it's in my opinion right in the middle of two eras.

<p>Currently booking a current day Mod of TNA or Impact Wrestling if you will, currently really enjoying a lot of what I'm doing and planning ahead instead of just booking randomly and without much thought for progression. </p><p> </p><p>

my World Title/Main event scene is taking care of its self;</p><p> </p><p>

Had Planet Jarrett reform consisting of Jarrett, Beer Money and Eric Bischoff, all of whom broke away from Immortal that same night, they all helped Jeff win the World title at Sacrifice defeating Sting moments after Sting defeated Angle in a title vs Career match. Sting nor Angle have been seen since (I put them on vacation while i figure out how they are going to fit into this situation) </p><p> </p><p>

AJ Styles was named no.1 Contender the next night on impact and the following week Jarrett put a bounty on Styles which was quickly answered when Steiner beat down Styles and join Jarrett's side in Planet Jarrett.</p><p> </p><p>

At Slammiversary Beer Money challenged The American Wolves for the Tag Team Titles and after some interference from Eric won the Tag Team Titles bringing the two major titles to Planet Jarret, Also on this show Jarrett successfully retained the World Title against AJ Styles in the main event after Steiner and Beer Money all interfered, Post match they beat Styles down until Hogan of all people came to Styles' aid and turned face in the progress.</p><p> </p><p>

4 weeks of back and forth beat downs and brawls and run ins between Hogan, Styles, The Wolves and Planet Jarrett and we came to Destination X where the Wolves were granted a rematch for the Tag Titles in which they won by DQ thus failing to regain the titles they were cheated out of. At that same show the team of Planet Jarrett members Jeff Jarrett and Scott Steiner faced the team of AJ Styles and Hulk Hogan, with Hogan getting the win for his team pinning Steiner. that brings us up to date and heading to Hardcore Justice where we're probably going to have Planet Jarrett facing Hogan, Styles and the wolves in an 8 Man tag match with the stipulation that should Planet Jarrett win AJ and the Wolves are to be barred from challenging for the titles for as long as Planet Jarrett hold the gold, if Hogan and his team are successful not only will AJ and the Wolves both get rematches for the titles but Planet Jarrett will be forced to disband.</p><p> </p><p>

the only other thing of note in my Game is in the X division as Austin Aries has been reigning champ since the game began and has held the X title for an impressive 11 months and notched up an even more impressive 17 defenses;</p><p> </p><p>

what started out as any normal title reign quickly became something extra ordinary when Aries who had grown tired of beating all the competition offered any star from anywhere in the world an open contract to come to TNA and face him for the X Title; This led to a series of PPV matches where old faces returned and tried but failed to best Aries, we also had faces from Japan never before seen in TNA come to try but fail. </p><p> </p><p>

I'm currently slow burning a fued between Aries and the last man who stands between Aries and Daniel (who Aries never faced as Daniels was in the Tag division) Aries feels Daniels no longer can keep up with the X division let alone A Double himself this will build to Aries and Daniels having a series of close calls such as double count outs and double dqs and Aries costing Daniels no.1 contendership matches, Daniels will finally get a match when Kaz will interfere, turn heel and align with Aries for a while leading to Daniels and stars of the X division facing Aries and Kaz until eventually Daniels gets one more make or break shot at the title in which he wins. Following which i'll move Aries on to the World title Division to fued with Joe who i'll be having dethrone Jarrett for the title</p>

Sources indicate Kurt Angle may be on his way out of WWE. He seemed to have pissed off some key higher ups in the company which explains his switch from RAW to ECW. Apparently he wanted to be more involved in the title picture which was already filled with HBK , JBL ,and Undertaker. The higher ups felt Kurt isn't that much of a draw to be demanding a spot and decided to move him over to ECW to take the championship from RVD. That plan has since been scrapped after Kurt Angle debuted on ECW and injured R-Truth for over 5 months. At first it seemed it was done on accident but within the past couple of weeks Kurt has indicated he isn't interested in resigning with the company and some feel the injury to Truth was his way of sending a message.

A close source to the situation said Angle asked to be released months ago but his request was denied.

Raw Plans

John Cena is the current WWE Championship reigning since WrestleMania , now in the second week of August. He has a win/loss record of 16-3. I realize I've been booking him a little too strongly. He most recently defended his title at Vengeance defeating both Y2J and Orton. Orton was planned to go over Cena at SummerSlam but officials became worried when during the triple threat match Orton broke his shoulder requiring him to miss the whole month of July.

Mr. Kennedy has had a on/off push since March. Either creative is horrible at booking or Kennedy keeps pissing off people backstage but here is how his time in WWE has been since the reign of Davis started.

In March he won the Money in the Bank match in what would of hopefully solidified him as a Main Eventer within the year. At Judgement Day he defended his briefcase against Edge and lost it in a brief storyline that had two heels fighting each other that seemed to come out of no where(no backstory or further feud between the two after this match) it seemed as if WWE wanted Kennedy's MITB deleted from the history books. Many felt Kennedy was going to be future endeavored but what kept hope in his fans was the Intercontinental Championship he held since Mania which he won in the MITB match as well. Then at Vengeance Kennedy lost the title to a returning Christian after leaving the WWE for some time. Kennedy has lost the last five matches that he has been in since June.

Either Kennedy is being buried in order to be released (It's rumored his contract still has over 6 months left) Or that he is being set for a face turn.

Tag Team Division - Is just there I will say I was dumb enough to have three different tag titles for my three shows and I quickly had to Unify two because of the lack of tag teams. Two unique tag teams I made are: Cody Rhodes and Goldust as Rhode Dust. And CM Punk & Paul Burchill as the Straight Edge Society.

Women's Division- Stagnant. Creative plans have been put on hold because of the possibility of 1 or 2 female star departures. Creative has tried to persuade 1 of the 2 female talents into staying by being offered a run with the newly created Divas Championship of course this would lead to switch to Smackdown if one of the Divas was to accept the offer they would become the first Diva to hold both titles.

List of Divas on Raw and Smackdown:

  1. Beth Phoenix
  2. Candice Michelle
  3. Christy Hemme
  4. Ivory
  5. Jillian Hall
  6. Kelly Kelly
  7. Lita
  8. Maria
  9. Mariko Yoshida
  10. Melina
  11. Mickie James
  12. Natalya
  13. Nikita(Katie Lea)
  14. Torrie Wilson
  15. Trish Stratus
  16. Victoria

Anyone want to make their guesses about the questions below?

2 have not debuted

1 will debut with a strong push

1 will be used only in Pre-Show matches to help train

1 with hardly any overness may be given the title as a "last hurrah"

2 will face off One on One at Mania for one of the titles and one extra added stipulation. (It's not who you think)

1 will be fired if they don't reach a certain performance standard by December

1 unlikely Diva had the highest rated Divas match to date against Trish (Scored 89)

Hpw do you guys deal with workers' names?

When you create/play a rea world mod, do you want Triple H's name to be "Triple H" or "Paul Levesque"?

I'm currently split on this. On one hand, "Triple H" seems more natural in a way, but then again, theoretically, Triple H could be hired by, say, TNA and he would then go by the name of "Triple H", which, of course, would not happen in real life, since WWE owns the name "Triple H".

But it just feels dumb naming him "Paul Levesque", for some reason.

What do you guys think?

Now, I've never created a mod but I play lots of real world mods and I always prefer workers referred to by their most common name and thus allowing room for alter egos. In your example Triple H would most certainly be his most recognisable identity and I know in theory in other promotion he would have to change his name but for ease of use Triple H is really how he's known and has been the way for almost 20 years.

I'm sure other people will have other preferences and theories of how mods should be constructed but speaking purely as a real world player and not a creator, this is how I find it best

List him as Terra Ryzing.

I cant decide whether to play the 1994 or 1995 mods on here. Clash of the Titans and War of the Something something. To make it worse turns out they're made by the same person so uh. God damn it. I might just play the 87 Golden Age mod as a tiebreaker or stick with the C-verse like I have the last 3 TEWs.

Definitely the "Triple H" route. I can respect wanting realism, but I frankly don't know or care about everybody's real name, and would rather be able to tell at a glance who the game's talking about.

I agree you could always make an alter ego when signing them.

War of the Worlds.

1994 is currently the better of the two. At least untill 1995 gets an update.
