To take on something like this, as far as using renders...

I would suggest getting a few people together to work on the art, with lots of different "action" type poses for whichever render they are doing. This would also have to be shared render settings and lights (I probably would agree on as much of a non-shadowed lighting as possible, shade it in photoshop maybe), etc. It would take alot of work to set-up more then likely, but....

IF one was to do street scenes that would appear in the comics, at different distance, camera angles, etc... and the same done with the character's posing, another doing the same with a different character, another with a different scene (Perhaps inside an apartment or something).

Having someone put them all together in photoshop (resizing, adding more shaders, etc.) might make it worthwhile.

However, if your wanting to actually have someone load a scene (building, road, trash, etc) and the characters... Just having everything in one render takes a very long time to get anything done. You would be looking at many days per one post.

If you were able to just resize already made poses, and combine badguys/goodguys, you could probably get somewhere with it alot faster... Kind of like doing it the "Flash" way.

I was thinking an issue per week or two anyway...

And the rendered idea would be cool, but i am a huge fan of hand drawn so even anyone whos able to do something like that if they wanted to collaborate would be sick.
