Acidburned
I have a database with the default data, dawn of MMA and a modern data set. My initial plan was to start in 1987 then at work today I thought it would be cool to start as a company in England in the 1960's and add a load of unlicensed boxers into the data. Lenny McClean, Roy Shaw, Johnny Waldron, Cliff Field etc. I am not at home at the moment I am at work, is it possible to start the database as early as we want? I have been thinking of adding some bare knuckle boxers from the 1800's into the database and starting there with this mod. I have a fast computer but I am guessing if I managed to do over 100 years of events the game would run really slow? Might seem like a stupid idea to some people but I would love to run a company for over 100 years even just doing events every few months.
Makhai
The way eras and regens work right now, I can't see this working the way you'd want it too. BJJ wasn't invented yet, Boxing was still illegal for godsakes. Finances are in-alterable, racism was alive and un-believeably popular.

But hey, maybe you're a time traveler jonesing for MMA? Setting up your own gyms, maybe you could find some old Catch-as-Catch-Can Wrestling greats? Sounds interesting, at the very least. If you do it, love to see you go all out with it. Black and White segregation, Weird rule-sets, strange weight divisions, whole nine-yards.
Acidburned
Due to a real lack of information about many fighters in the 1800's I will most likely start in the late 60's. There were obviously a lot of boxers around at the time and finding information on various Olympic athletes like DOB and their weight and height should be pretty easy.

I would just make up my own fighters and start at 1900 but there is not a way to ensure regens are mostly boxers.
D16NJD16
I dont know how many it times it needs to be said. WMMA 3 is not a boxing similar, nor a pro wrestling simulator, nor an 1800's bare knuckle simulator. No matter how much me or anyone else wishes otherwise, it's an MMA game only. HansLanda11
If you did do this you would have to upload the gamesave for everyone.
thilonash
although i do agree that its annoying when people try to make it a pure boxing or kickboxing sim, I do like the idea of this scenario if it were 1800s boxers (becasue thats what was populuar), but fighting with MMA rules. Like, almost like street fighting so to speak? if that makes any sence. Have it be MMA, but have most people only good at standup striking. In all honesty, ide almost wanna say there were more pure strikers in the early early UFC days then pure grapplers, and very few were trained in both untill the later events. So a bunch of unlicenced boxers beating the crap out of eachother in a cage using mostly standup doesnt sound too far fetched.
