mkpeak
Before I begin...I want to say I love this game and will be playing it for a long time. I am trying to recruit solid student athletes. "Student" being the key. I am playing a mid-prestige school and want to recruit good, smart kids so that I can focus more of my budget dollars in other areas. Anyway, I am finding it very difficult. I just signed 19 recruits. 18 of the 19 signed recruits had a GPA of 3.0 or better and an exam score of 1,200 or better during the recruiting process. The 19th player was not recruited by me and was assigned to my team as a "scholarship player". Now, after they have been added to my roster their Int & GPA info has me confused. Here is the info (Pre-Training Camp): Pos - WE - INT - GPA QB - 99 - 56 - 2.04 FB - 89 - 71 - 3.07 WR - 99 - 58 - 2.31 WR - 86 - 68 - 3.19 TE - 92 - 62 - 2.35 OT - 61 - 47 - 1.67 OT - 79 - 60 - 2.91 C - 97 - 60 - 1.76 DE - 90 - 74 - 3.23 DE - 87 - 54 - 2.27 DE - 54 - 68 - 3.39 DT - 84 - 61 - 1.93 ILB - 79 - 99 - 3.85 ILB - 66 - 99 - 3.49 OLB - 99 - 94 - 3.47 OLB - 91 - 61 - 1.94 CB - 72 - 44 - 1.92 FS - 60 - 51 - 1.78 SS - 35 - 40 - 1.67 (I did not recruit this player and he was assigned as a "scholarship player" to fill my roster as my 3rd SS) (1) What, if any, is the correlation between GPA and Exam score during the recruiting process and the point in time they are added to the roster? (2) Also, I had planned on moving the FS I recruited to SS because he was an athlete and in my opinion better suited to play SS. (FYI - I already had 3 players at FS and recruited the FS for this specific purpose because I received little to no interest from the SS prospects.) My question here is this, if the games automatically fills roster spots for my team with "scholarship" players it becomes virtually impossible for me to balance my roster with respect to class size,...is this a glitch or is there a way around this problem? (3) I am attempting to recruit lesser skilled players in hopes they will come to my school as walk-ons. The problem is...they are committing during the recruiting phase as "scholarship" players without my ever offering them a "scholarship". Why are recruits commiting as "scholarship" players during the recruiting phase without receiving a "scholarship"? (4) All that said, I have no problem with walk-on players being auto-assigned to my roster but why are scholarship players players being auto-assigned to my roster? Thanks, -Kevin
mkpeak
Printing Question Forgot to mention earlier... When I print my roster I get the same print result every time regardless which page I'm viewing. How can I print my roster view showing the current and future potential? I can see the correct info on the screen but when I print I get the main roster view... # POS Name Ht Wt Yr GPA WE INT Status High School Thanks, -Kevin

C-Bailey24
I'm also noticing the academic thing also. The 3.0 guys usually stay toward that level once they hit campus but the 2.4-2.7 guys see to take a dramatic dip in grades more times than not. mh2365
Well I had a 3.7 GPA throughout my highschool career and my first semester of college I had a 1.5 and that was without playing college football. I'm pretty sure it's a known fact that grades suffer your freshman year. How is after the kid has been in school a year or two? I had a 3.25 my sophomore year, so I came back around :)
