TurnerCU22
I'm working on a mod for Division III and looking for some help with the work, if anyone is familiar with D3 Football as well. First of all, I'm sticking to around 200 teams, because it seemed to crash when I had more than that. So, I will be dropping some of the conferences that aren't as competitive. If you are familiar with any of the conferences, let me know and if you want to give some of the info (i.e., team names, colors, ect..) that would be great as well. Basically, I'm just looking for any help that others could provide out there. Thanks!

CM Punk
If you are doing a D3 game, please put the College of Mount St. Joseph (my alma mater) in there. They have been in the playoffs for 2 years (Got slaughted by Mount Union in the 1st round this year :) ) after being 0-10 when I graduated in 2001. If you have them in there, "College of Mount St. Joseph" or "Mount St. Joseph" are the ONLY correct spellings of the names (Not Mt. St. Joseph or Mt. Saint Joe's, as some local media call it)
dp68
If you go to d3football.com and click on STANDINGS, you will see every conference in existence. http://www.d3football.com/conference.php Click on any team there, and you get more team information. Look over to the left sidebar, and you will find team colors and playing field type, as well as stadium capacity. If you click through to the teams' official sites, many of them list the style offense and defense they play. You can use the Helmet Project to get their actual helmets. TurnerCU22
Thanks for all the links! I think I'm going to take a few step approach to it, just to see how the game handles everything, before I post it up here if anyone is interested. 1) Create the conferences with place holder teams - DONE 2) Rename the teams and their correct stadiums - DONE: 12/28 3) Change the cities and colors 4) Post it here and check for spelling errors, ect.. 5) Try to add other things, such as helmets, rivalries, ect.. Question for anyone who has messed with the pstats file, can you take out all of the bowl games except those used for playoffs? I believe that if you use the playoff system, it still uses the other bowl games, and I don't want that. Also, what is the limit for the conference size? I think i read somewhere it was 12, so for right now I created two conferences of 7 teams for the 14-team New England Football Conference
TurnerCU22
Well, I have all of the school names, nicknames, abbreviations, stadiums and seats all correctly entered into the pstats file. For now, I just made rivals for each team in their own conference and I changed all of the colors to black and white. However, I am still getting RTE's in a couple spots: RTE 91 in the view recruits screen when I change to any state or any region RTE 91 when I try to set up a schedule RTE 5 when I try to view the polls Sometimes these don't appear right away as they usually wait until I close the game and then load it back up. I'll post it here and if anyone wants to find out why its not working, I would greatly appreciate it.
TurnerCU22
Wanted to bump this up, as I still can't find any problems of why it shouldn't work at this point. I AM using the demo version for this, so if someone can take a few mins to test this with the full version, I would greatly appreciate it.
TurnerCU22
Found my problems and got it working!! Basically, I have found that you have to keep it around 180 teams, because any more than that will generate more than 4000 recruits, which overloads the game and causes the RTE's at the recruting screen. As of now, I have 183 teams and have a playoff system in, but I have to fix the cities first, and then I'll release it for people, minus the colors and the helmets. kennywanchizoate
Outstanding Turner! Looking forward to playing this one as well as mine and the D2 mod
TurnerCU22
Ok, its all done except the coloring and the helmets, but I'm hoping someone could download it and replace my FirstNames and LastNames with the ones that SkyDog created that are more accurate, and then repost it here. Once that is done, thats all I am going to do with it for now. If someone wants to do the helmets and/or the colors, go ahead as school has started back up for me and I don't have the time to work on this any further. Hope everyone enjoys it! kennywanchizoate
Turner Gotta download this and play alongside my D I-AA mod! I'll see about doing the helmets and logos, along with the SkyDog mod. I've got it working on my D I-AA mod and it took about 3 minutes to put the SkyDog stuff in. Then, I'll post both the pstats and psetup files on here and it would be ready to go
frostylives
I'm thrilled to see someone went to the effort of making a Div 3 mod but I'm having an awful time getting it to work. I keep getting an RTE 5 whenever I try to create a new league. It is always when it is creating the players and it is always when it is at 4 percent. Any ideas anyone? Jestor
Just out of curiosity is UW-La Crosse included as one of the teams in this mod? If it is, I may have to finally buy BBCF :D
kennywanchizoate
Jestor If UW-La Crosse isn't listed, you can nix one other team, or if necessary, an entire conference and add in both UW-La Crosse and the conference it's in. If you don't have Access or the know-how to edit the pstats, just holla back here with the vital stats for UW-La Crosse and, if necessary, the teams and stats for its' conference mates and I'll edit it for ya.
