Recommended Posts

The new owner of CGC recently held a conference call, here were some of the highlights

-Wants to take CGC Global

-Has signed a working agreement with NOTBPW and said expect to see some Dan Stone's workers appearing on TV soon for CGC

-The DeColt family no longer owning CGC will be used as an on air storyline as well

-Wants to bring back managers and more valets like in the "old days"

-Says a huge focus will be placed building the Tag Team Division

-Believes the announcing could be better and tv production needs improvement. He may add a second tv show in the future.

-Will be renaming and re-branding some of the CGC PPV broadcasts.

-Is looking at some Independent, PPA talent to bring in and help out on TV and PPV

This kinda makes me wince. Although CGC and NOTBPW aren't at war, sometimes I really feel they should be, or at least not friendly. They're in direct opposition and Steve more or less defected to NOTBPW. I don't want to tell you how to play your own game, but working agreements between the two feel very... gamey.

Shane Nelson and "Thrill Seeker" Lee Rivera, the tag team once known as "Youth Energy" are going to be paired together again in CGC as "High Energy". Bookers feel that CGC needs more of a baby face presence in its Tag Team Divison.

I think they are more neutral towards each other. Not friendly, but not hostile. No formal agreements, but no DISagreements either.

Going to run a 2 player game, controlling NOTBPW and CGC and try to run them as separate brands where they can share talent to broaden feuds and alliances for story lines. The idea intrigues me. I hope I can make this entertaining for you too.

Episode 1-Stock Rising

George DeColt and Alex DeColt meet at CGC Headquarters

George: I am a little concerned Alex. Someone is buying a large amount of CGC stock. I mean a large amount.

Alex: Why do you sound so worried Dad? That is a good thing. The stock is hot.

George: Maybe it is worrying about nothing. I could be a little paranoid.

Alex: Are you concerned about a takeover attempt? Is that it? Dad, when we went public 5 years ago, we appropriated the stocks among the family so that the shares held among your sons ensured that nobody outside the family would ever be a majority owner.

George: That has always been my biggest fear about going public.

Alex: Dad, none of us are selling our shares, so it is impossible for anyone other than a DeColt to ever be a majority shareholder of CGC. (pats George on the back) Don't worry about nothing. It is a new year, we have some big things coming up. (walks out of office)

George: (picks up and stares at an old picture of his four sons together in their youth)

Running some trial shows. Could not find where else to post this but what is the best way to generate heat for matches?

The help file has a lot of the info, and the small questions that don't deserve their own thread in general discussion on tew 2010 is a place to ask stuff.

Basically heat = momentum + overness, how to gain momentum? Good performance + wins especially guys with more momentum, gain overness = good performance + wins over more over guys. In very very simple terms.

Townsend: That's right. Viewers, get ready to see the best in our business. Steve DeColt is the total package. James King is just a tune up for the Champ!</p><p> </p><p>

London: I don't know about that Tom? Nonetheless, also in action tonight, Dan Stone Jr. is here as well as Sean Mcfly. It should be a great night, lets go to the ring for our first contest.</p><p> </p><p>

London: A smattering of boos for the Dark Angel here.</p><p>

Townsend: What do you expect from this crowd, London? Remember, this is Ontario! </p><p>

London: How dare you Tom?! Insulting our great fans?! I will say the fans just have not treated Dark Angel the same since he lost the NOTBPW Championship last month to Steve DeColt. </p><p>

DeColt: How ridiculous?! (Shakes his head) Exactly what is wrong with the product today. A lot of glitz and glamor but no substance, and certainly no class. What a punk! (Turns off monitor, back down to the announcers)</p><p> </p><p>

London: The NOTBPW Champ does not appear to be a fan of Sean Mcfly's antics?</p><p> </p><p>

Townsend: Mcfly is a hanger on. Married to the bosses daughter, and part of that horrible Stone family. I think Victoria slept with over half the NOTBPW roster. You know, she retired because of a back injury. She was always on it. (laughs)</p><p> </p><p>

London: Tom! Victoria is a very classy woman. You wait just a minute!</p><p> </p><p>

]Episode 3- A Big Problem

CGC Title Bout Wrestling

(Opening Credits)

Papin: Welcome to CGC Title Bout Wrestling. We are in British Columbia at the “Victoria Athletic Royal Park”. My name is Marty Papin. My esteemed colleague, “The Consultant to the Stars”, Adrian Garcia is along side me. Adrian, our Main Event this week is our beloved World Champ, Jack DeColt defends his title vs. “All Business” Bobby Thomas.

Garcia: Blah blah blah, DeColt, the name makes me ill! Let’s talk about my man, “Fabulous” Eddie Chandler, from “Elite”. He is a 2 time CGC Champ. He is in action here as well!

Papin: Yes indeed! All 3 titles are being defended here tonight. The CGC Tag Titles, The CGC Canadian Title and as mentioned, the CGC World Title is being defended in our main event. A favorite of yours opens up tonight, Adrian! Alex DeColt in action to start.

Segment 2

Papin: We are told we have a problem in the ! (Gargantuan is in the back destroying everything in site, workers are scattering) That monster! What is he doing?

Garcia: That is a dangerous man. He just needs some guidance, someone to communicate for him.

Papin: A new member of Elite, Adrain?

Garcia: Are you serious, Marty? We are called “Elite”. One of the requirements is that you must be able to spell Elite. I am not even sure this man can form a sentence. An impressive man but I am not a remedial school teacher or a lion tamer, I am a Consultant to the Stars.

Garcia: I think Marie likes him (laughs)

Papin: That is a look of disgust on that woman’s face as her fiance, World Champion, Jack DeColt looks like his is in trouble.

Thomas: (blows a kiss to Marie) Let me show you a real champ. (adjusts his trunks)

Papin: OHHHH, DeColt is up, hit’s the “End of Days” out of nowhere! 1-2-3! DeColt wins! DeColt wins! Thomas was busy flirting with Marie and DeColt came out of nowhere with the End of Days!

Garcia: These damned DeColts! Thomas, son, that is why you are not Elite. He was distracted by a pretty lady and not focused on the task at hand.

Episode 5

Week 2, Jan 2010

NOTBPW Championship Wrestling

Tonight’s scheduled card

Alex Braun vs. Johnny Bloodstone

Ant Man vs. Sean Mcfly

Dark Angel vs. Harlem Haynes

Jeremy Stove vs. Sgt Bubba Lee West

Dan Stone Jr. vs. Owen Love

Segment 1

(Show starts, Steve DeColt is standing in the ring in a custom made suit with NOTBPW Title folded in his arm)

DeColt: I have been in this business a long time. I am a 3 time CGC Champion. A 4 time Tag Team Champion. And now the new guy in NOTBPW, I am already your NOTBPW World Champ. (crowd boos) My name isn’t Stone, I know. I am not one of your heroes. Well, that just shows what you know because there isn’t a better specimen in the ring anywhere, I mean anywhere. Not in TCW, not in SWF, none of them can compare in the ring to “The Outsider” Steve DeColt. (boos from crowd) You don’t cheer a guy like me. No, I am not one of your heroes. I am not one of the Stone family. I am not Mcfly out here celebrating every time I win. Why? Because I have been to the promised land and back. I know what it is all about! I am a winner! (Mcflys music hits, Sean Mcfly walks out in Jeans and a Mcfly T Shirt)

Mcfly: Stevie, now that is the second time in two weeks that my name has come out of your mouth? For a man who is on top of the mountain, you don’t seem like a happy man. You don’t like to see others happy. Why are you so uptight?

DeColt: Mcfly! You want to come out here and interrupt the World Champion? Just like I said before, you have no class and you lack the respect that one should have for a man of my stature and standing.

Mcfly: I can’t just sit back and allow you to disrespect my family. You know Steve, I am a member of the Stone family. (crowd cheers)

DeColt: Pal, I know everything about you. I know what you and your family are all about. Now buddy, turn your ass around and go back where you came from because the Champ doesn’t have time for you.

Mcfly: You obviously have a problem with me Steve (laughs). We settle our problems around here in the ring. So why don’t you put your money where your mouth is. Put that belt on the line against me here tonight.

DeColt: Are you serious? I didn’t come here tonight to wrestle. (music hits, Dan Stone Sr appears, standing very stoic as always)

Dan Sr: I don’t like to make too many appearances on tv but Steve, Sean, I thought it was best that I intervene. Steve, congratulations on your title victory last month. And good luck because you will be defending that title……….in the Main Event at the “Big City Brawl” PPV vs. Sean Mcfly in 20 days. (DeColt is furious, Mcfly is clapping and celebrating) …….and stay tuned because I have another announcement later tonight regarding the “The Big City Brawl”.

(DeColt fuming, Mcfly looks very happy, fade to commercial)

(Return from break, pan to announcers Tommy London and Tom Townsend)

London: Well fans, our main event for the Big City Brawl is set. DeColt vs. Mcfly for the NOTBPW Title.

Townsend: Another instance of Dan Stone pushing his family. Steve DeColt is the best there is. Mcfly is going to regret this whole thing.

London: Highly unlikely.

Segment 2

Jeremy Stone vs. Sgt Bubba Lee West

Winner: Jeremy Stone

Segment 3

Ant Man vs. Sean Mcfly

Winner: Sean Mcfly

London: Mcfly victorious this week on the night he found out he will get a shot at the NOTBPW Title at Big City Brawl. He is a for---, WHAT THE HECK!!?? Steve DeColt comes into the ring from out of the crowd levels Mcfly in the middle of the ring with a chair!

Townsend: Mcfly is out!

London: And DeColt has the nerve to talk about class. What a classless thing to do.

Townsend: Anything goes London when it comes to keeping your championship, always remember that.

Segment 4

Johnny Bloodstone vs. Alex Braun

Winner: Bloodstone

London: Very impressive outing for Bloodstone vs. the veteran Alex Braun

Townsend: Johnny Bloodstone is right up there when you talk about the greats in our business today. He is a former World Champion, He does not get enough credit for his ability. He has been over shadowed by the Stone family.

London: I am actually going to agree with you Tom. Now, moving on. Earlier tonight, our owner, Dan Stone Sr. said he would have more news about the Big City Brawl PPV. Let’s go back to Mr. Stone who is in his office. (Dan Stone in his office in the back sitting behind a desk. Sitting on the desk in front of him is a championship belt.)

Dan Sr : Sitting in front of me is the retired CWF Championship belt. When I bought the territories in Alberta and Ontario known as CWF from Ed Henson, this great belt was retired. This belt holds a very special place in my heart. I was a 3 time CWF Champion. Myself along with Board of Directors all believe that NOTBPW needs another singles title to compete for. That being said, the CWF title will be un-retired. We will have two matches to determine finalists who will then compete for the CWF Title at the Big City Brawl. Dan Stone Jr will face Johnny Maverick in one semi final and Jeremy Stone will face Johnny Bloodstone in the other semi final. The two winners will meet at the Big City Brawl. Thank you. (pans back out to announcers)

London: A huge announcement! The CWF Title has such a rich history. Past holders of the belt include Dan Stone, George DeColt, Rip Chord, Spencer Marks……just a great thing to have that belt now in NOTBPW.

Townsend: It is a great title, London but if you didn’t notice, who did Dan Stone Sr put in this little tournament? Out of 4 men, 2 of them are his sons! That is outrageous!

London: Listen, his 2 sons are among the top contenders in this company. They deserve a shot at that prestigious title more than anyone.

Segment 5

Dark Angel vs. Harlem Haynes

Winner: Harlem Haynes with a quick rollup pin.

London: Angel loses again. You would have to consider this a bit of an upset Tom.

Townsend: Harlem Haynes is one half of the Tag Team champions, he ain’t no slouch London. Listen to these people booing the Dark Angel. The guy is an icon in this sport. He gets in a slump and this is how he gets treated?

London: The Dark Angel just has not been himself. He is missing something.

Townsend: He is missing the NOTBPW Title around his waist that Steve DeColt took from him last month (laughs)

London: Fans, we do have word that Sean Mcfly has been taken to a local hospital for stitches. He does have a concussion and his status for The Big City Brawl is in jeopardy

Segment 6

Dan Stone Jr vs. Owen Love

Winner: Dan Stone Jr via the Stone Ankle Stretch

(Stone shakes hands with the fans after the match, fade to black)

Show Rating :80
