win BCS game, LOSE MONEY?!

Recommended Posts

I just went 13-0 and won the Orange Bowl with Boise St... and when the off-season came I lost $30,000 in my budget... WHAT?!?! if a non-BCS school gets in the BCS game thier conference gains $13,000,000 IRL, so how does a school make the BCS and lose money? Oh yeah, I should mention that this is my second straight undefeated season and second straight BCS bowl win in this game... how is that working?

I'm glad you added the "much" :) Actually you say you were in a bcs bowl game last year as well. That means your "less money" makes sense because you also got a ton last year from the strong showing. You got your big payraise so to speak after last year's great season. P.S. Do that with Temple and I'll be really impressed :D

Who are you guys beating the bowls? If you have any easy off season schedule, and play in a weaker conference I could see it. I am playing out my games with Minnesota, and I always run into more talented teams and lose, I went 8-4(blowing a 14 point 4th quarter lead in the bowl to Florida) my first year. Now my second year I started out 2-2, missed a game winning FG against Kentucky, and now lost to a very talented Penn St team. I finished 10th in the nation in recruiting, however I still had 5 teams in my conference ahead of me recruiting wise. I'm finding it very realistic in a big conference and not to easy.

I see where I ranked in recruiting is there a page that shows where every team ranked? Also does it show where you finished each year.
Going 13-0 two seasons in a row with Boise St? Did you wind up winning the National title too? Seems a little too easy to me.
the first season I played 6-6 Cincinnati in a BCS game (they won thier conference outright somehow... lol) the next year I played a better team, but my team was pretty good... and I schedule 4 pansies for my non-conference schedule, I had around the #100 SOS both years, but one year there was 1 undefeated team other than me, and the next there weren't any, so its not like there was a large number of teams at the top...
