BREAKING NEWS FROM TOTALEXTREMEWRESTLING.COM!

Monday, 1st Week of January, 2010

Total Championship Wrestling gets a new head booker!

In a shocking development, Total Championship Wrestling has named relatively unknown, Charles Anderson as their new head booker. Although not much is known about Charles Anderson, we do know he has worked a few American independent shows, but no record is shown of his booking history.

Although hiring an unknown as the new head booker is very questionable on TCW's part considering how well their former head booker, Joel Bryant, has done, especially with The Syndicate storyline, we are now receiving word that Joel Bryant was very burnt out after creating and orchestrating that storyline, feeling that none of the storylines he would create from here on out would ever be as big as or better than The Syndicate storyline. It has also been said that he wants to focus primarily on helping the young talent, either on the roster currently or to come, improve their ring work.

More on this story as it develops.............

It's been a month now since Tommy gave me the job as head booker and so far, not to toot my own horn, I think I've been doing a good job.

Last night was Malice in Wonderland, one of the biggest pay-per-views in Total Championship Wrestling history. A night where all champions retained their titles: Guide and Scout against The L.A. Connection and The Tag Team Specialists in a three-way tag team match, Edd Stone retained against Clark Alexander, Joshua Taylor retained his title against Brent Hill, and in what was a hard-fought match, Rocky Golden retained his title against Sam Keith.

However, not all of the action was for the titles. Koshiro Ino defeated Rick Law in a 15-foot high steel cage, Eddie Peak picked up the win against Bryan Vessey, Troy Tornado defeated Benny Benson to avenge his loss against him, and in what was a brutal and bloody main event, The Freedom Fighters (Joey Minnesota & Ricky Dale Johnson defeated The Syndicate (Tommy Cornell & Wolf Hawkins) in a no-disqualification no-countout Tag Team War and the stipulation was that the losing team had to split up.

Now that it's February and most of the company's hot feuds have either ended or simmered down, it's time to push towards the young talent, because one of TCW's issues is that most of the performance-savvy guys are 35 and older, (Bryan Vessey, Ricky Dale Johnson, Brent Hill, Joel Bryant, Robert Oxford, and Sam Keith). We need to find guys who can wrestle and who aren't on the verge of retiring.

I've been in talks with Tommy in recent weeks and now that networks are scheduling, we thought about bringing back Saturday Night Showcase to show off some new talent, making SNS almost like an exclusive brand for new wrestlers to showcase their skill and improve and once a wrestler improves to our liking, then we graduate them from SNS to Total Wrestling, already having exposure to our audience. Besides, it would be a good way to bring in some extra television revenue to support our now-recovering finances.

Total Wrestling Matchcard (Week 1, February 2010):

Edd Stone vs. Aaron Andrews (non-title)

The New Wave vs. The Machines (TCW Tag Team Titles)

Troy Tornado vs. Koshiro Ino

Joey Minnesota and Ricky Dale Johnson vs. Eddie Peak and Rick Law

Wolf Hawkins vs. Joshua Taylor (non-title)

Rocky Golden vs. Tommy Cornell (Main Event/non-title)
