Division I-AA Mod

Recommended Posts
Is anyone working on a Division I-AA mod for our beloved game? If not, I was thinking about starting to work on one. What a wonderful day to try and take Northwestern State out of Natchitoches, LA to the D I-AA national championship! KennyWan
Above you. Yeah, I've been working on one. Haven't had time to touch one since the weekend and not sure with the holiday coming up when I'll get to work on it. What is done so far: All teams/names/abbreviations/stadium names/sizes, and impromptu rivalries (some correct, some just guesses). All conference names are updated. Currently there are certain schedules that are not available in the game (I think 4 and 5 game conference schedules) so some conferences were combined (Big South/MAAC and Great West/Independant). The SWAC also doesn't have 2 divisions because I'm not sure if the game can handle a 2 division format with 10 teams (I believe the Pioneer league is the same way, not at home). Also, the Ivy has to play out of conference teams. There's no true way to sim the Heritage Bowl in its current form. Autobids for conferences in the playoffs are set up correctly, but there is no way to keep teams out (so the SWAC and Ivy can't boycott the playoffs). Bowls were randomly set up and named just to make sure it doesn't crash. Finally, I've put in the colors for the A10 and Big Sky. I'm still working those through as i figure out how the colors are displayed (I know 'Nova is messed up). I have logos for the previous two and the Big South/MAAC. I have the cities entered for the A10 teams, with reasonably realistic sizes and weather. What's left: Team colors for the other 12 conferences. The rest of the cities. Basic team editing stuff. The rest of the Logos. Is there anything else I'm missing? I'll probably post what is done at the end of the week and see what people think so far. I'll be out of town most of the next 3 weeks, so this probably isn't going to be finished anytime soon.

 • 2 weeks later...
Wiglaf My D I-AA mod (which I have still been working on even though easy mac has been working on his) might possibly be released this evening, pending no RTEs in my testing today. Everything is in place, just testing the season to season results. So far, things are progressing well with no errors. More information to come, so stay tuned. KennyWan
