Kana vs. Ayumi Kurihara Recap (Extreme)

Recommended Posts

Nice video man! Good match between two of Joshi's current aces. I know alot of people aren't the biggest fan of Kana, but she is one of my favs. And Ayumi of course is considered the Joshi worlds best by most, fairly enough.

I had seen some of your videos before, and I find it funny I didn't even notice until right now. It's fair to say, your pretty good! <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

I have to ask, your making two mods and music videos, how do you ever find time to watch wrestling or eat? <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/rolleyes.png.4b097f4fbbe99ce5bcd5efbc1b773ed6.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Glad you enjoyed the video and how can anyone not like Kana , she's awesome! and as much as i love Ayumi i'm not sure she's the best Joshi in the world but definitely one of the top 3.

I seldom make tributes anymore, usually 2 or 3 a year depending on my level of inspiration. Working on two mods? i'm not currently working on anything, i've been playing a TNA 09/10 save whilst you to finish up your overhaul of japan for my data (thanks again). I get around to watch a fair amount of wrestling and who needs to eat, thats for the weak ;).

I enjoyed the video enough to sub to you. I am a big fan of Puro in general, and a good Joshi match is even better.

Glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for the sub.

I heard it has to do with her style and opinions of women's wrestling. From what I heard, she tends to be stiff, even for joshi. And she thinks that they should wrestle more like men. She's also gotten into conflicts before. This is also second-hand, though. I don't have much of an opinion.

She does what she wants, not necessarily what tradition dictates, and that doesn't really go over well in Japan. And honestly, who HASN'T gotten into conflicts amongst the joshi? Anyone who has done business with Yumiko Hotta (as booker) can be said to have gotten into conflicts, shady as she tends to be.

And I dunno about calling Ayumi 'the best joshi'. The best draw is still probably Fuuka (when she decides she wants to wrestle) and while Ayumi is far more skilled, skill doesn't often get you where it should in this business.

Great video though!

I don't have much of an opinion. That being said, as stiff as you say Ayumi is, I don't think Kana is as far off as you think in terms of stiffness. It's certainly not for a lack of trying from Kana, that's for sure. I mean, she's not as stiff as her, sure, but she's up there.

By the way, what is this Traditional she is supposed to tow? I'm not as familiar with this scene as you are.

Especially considering the last time she wrestled was in early 2010. Yuzuki Akizawa is probably the best "draw" right now. But being the best draw at this point isn't very impressive. No one is drawing very well really.

Kana wrote a manifesto on what was wrong with Joshi, and thats a big reason why people hate on her. It was about all the idols and children getting in the way of real wrestling. However, she continues to now work with said companies that use kids and T&A so it makes her look like a hypocrit. Especially considering that she brought Riho into WNC. But alas, haters gonna hate.

As for Kana being stiff? Yeah, a bit much so. She's knocked out several opponents during their matches. Including Ayumi. So, while all shoot type women wrestlers are stiff, Kana has at times (especially a few years ago) been a little too dangerous. Thats another reason people (especially people who have to work her) may not really like her so much.
